I've had my phone for a month or so now and I've always been receiving tiny pictures in messages and I don't know how to fix it. I've searched and found a lot of people with my phone having the same problem. I've read about an update somewhere? I've tried changing the image to large when I go to options but that only refers to MY own images being sent to other people.
View 6 RepliesI love my Nokia 5800XM phone. I"m still trying to learn it all, but I have one problem. When someone sends me a picture it comes in very small. I don't know why. When I save the picture it's that same size. I would love for someone to help me with this. What's the point of haveing a camra phone or having people send you pictures if you can't see them?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have nokia 5800, it doesnt receive sms after i use it for a week , then i have to replace it wid some other sim, doesn matter of same network or different, and then it starts workin fine.
when the problem persists, i turn it off and when i turn it on, i receive all the messages at once, even when network is not ready. after replacing wid some other sim and then putting back ma sim into ma cell, it starts workin fine again until a week goes and then again the same problem persists. i tried restoring factory settings , even resetted ma cell, but the same problem persists.
I first noticed it when a buddy sent me a picture from his HTC one . It was very small and not very detailed. I picked mine up on Friday and noticed when I sent a picture to my friends through mms that it was only sending 32 kb size pictures. The actual photos are .91 mb's. My question is short of emailing the picture is there anyway to send the photo in full resolution over mms? The stock messaging allows for up to 2mb so why does it compress it so much. I have switched to sending pictures with handcent, but that is not a real practical solution.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post to this forum and i am really hoping for some help. I have a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Phone. It is about 7 months old and has developed a really annoying and frustrating fault over the past few days - progressively no getting worse by the hour it would seem. The phone freezes after receiving a text, phone call, internet usage or just generally pressing one of the function buttons. Some times if you wait long enough it does free itself but more often than not it will end up me removing the battery to reset the handset. Nothing appears to work properly on it anymore - the battery appears to drain within hours of charge. Really fed up with it now. Carphone Warehouse and Orange are blamming each other ( no change there). Yes i can take it to a repair centre who will either do it on site ro send away. I have completed a soft reset but has made no difference. I am now tempted to do a complete hard reset once backing up my contents etc

View 5 Replies View RelatedI want to capture small objects like small flowers, bees, insects and pests but cant get the Samsung Galaxy S5 to focus on anything close. My S3 had a button for Macro Photography. I don't see this option and when I tap to focus, it tries but it acts like it's too close and fails. It looks like it will focus on the close object for like a second, then it zooms back out.I have tried to turn off auto focus and stabilization but the result is same.

When i open the gallery and watching the pictures in the gallery in sequence, I am getting a popup message like "Gallery: Memory Full. Close some applications and try again". Do anyone facing the same issue and found the fix for this. I had 1001 pictures in the gallery. Still 2.3GB space is left in Memory-card and 22mb free in phone memory.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI can send a picture to another phone, and that picture looks great. But when I receive a picture message, it is scaled down. It almost looks like the size of a thumbnail when I receive it so I have to zoom in on every picture to see it.
I've checked APN MMS settings, I've factory reset the phone and no success.
while incoming calls the caller pictures is display in small circle on the right corner of the phone.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason when I put my memory card into a new E72 when viewing pictures previously saved on to the memory card the images are showing incredibly blurry and sizes range between 1kb and 3kb, the pictures look fine as a thumbnail, and its as if the picture is saved as the thumbnail.
However when viewing through file manager or trough my laptop the images are perfectly sized memory and when opened they aren't blurry at all they are back to normal.
I have already attempted removing images from memory card, putting them back on, moving to phone memory and trying to view them there, but it's the same.
My nokia 5800 takes many time to autofocus i.e. changing of bracket from yellow to green. Firstly I can see zooming of lens in and out during autofocus, but now I can't. As a result the pic it shoots is blurred. When i compare the picture quality of 5800 with 5233 (2 mp), I found quality of 5233's pic is far better than 3.2 mp carl zeiss lens.

It shows a little exclimation mark, and if I want it to work I have to completely reset my network settings, which is a constant pain, considering my internet WEP key is 26 digits long. I have a 4 month old iPhone 5S and for some reason I'm not able to receive texts and photos from my friends who have Android phones. The only time I receive them is when I turn my data on. I have a very limited data plan and I would prefer to only turn it on in the case of an emergency, not to receive texts from friends. As of now, it seems that my phone is perfectly able to send texts to them, I just can't receive them.Â

Whenever someone sends me a text message including a photo, I receive a text from '9000' indicating that the person (phone number only-no name) has sent me a picture message, and prompts me to click on the Sprint picture mail website link to view the photo. Once I click the link, and the site finally opens, the picture is visible. Because the text is sent from 9000, I can't reply to the sender of the message by hitting 'reply,' because I would be replying to 9000. I called Sprint about this MMS issue, and they told me it's because this is a GSM phone. I'm hoping there is some setting or configuration that needs to be adjusted to allow my incoming picture messages to appear properly
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.

I've just come to install the UK maps on my device and it's only 160mb. Is this right, since last time I installed the UK maps it was well over 1GB. So what's going on here? Have I installed the full UK maps or has something gone wrong here? I'm using latest version of maps, ovi suite and map loader.
