Sep 3, 2011Since I purchased my Photon a couple weeks ago, I have had this issue. Whenever someone sends me a text message including a photo, I receive a text from '9000' indicating that the person (phone number only-no name) has sent me a picture message, and prompts me to click on the Sprint picture mail website link to view the photo. Once I click the link, and the site finally opens, the picture is visible. Because the text is sent from 9000, I can't reply to the sender of the message by hitting 'reply,' because I would be replying to 9000. I called Sprint about this MMS issue, and they told me it's because this is a GSM phone. I'm hoping there is some setting or configuration that needs to be adjusted to allow my incoming picture messages to appear properly

Mar 24, 2010The multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?

I'm unable to send multimedia messages and have been unable to register it on My Nokia as the IMEI is unrecognised. I've checked the SIM card being used in another phone and there are no problems.

May 22, 2010Spoken to T-mobile and they sent me the settings as they should be. I have saved them and tried again. But picture of video parts of messages aren't going through, only the text parts arrive. I can go to the phone settings and see the data being sent, and it is always the correct amount. But the multimedia bits don't get there. Yet I can send them to myself. The people I send to, can send and receive multimedia just fine to other people. Could someone on T-mobile post all their settings please?

I have a very limited data plan and I would prefer to only turn it on in the case of an emergency, not to receive texts from friends. Jun 3, 2012I receive some messages from some people but have had a few friends tell me they have sent me messages yet I am not receiving them. One friend even said when she sends me messages for some reason my e-mail shows up in the "to" field, but not my mobile number. When she starts a new message and uses my mobile number I do not receive it. I've tried clearing network settings, deleting messages and turning my phone off. Nothing seems to be working. Mar 20, 2012I have an IPad2 and IPhone 4S running the latest OS 5.1. I was texting with a 3rd party on my IPhone and was recieving responses back (all blue - not SMS). I was expecting a response on my iphone and did not recieve it in a timely manner but when I looked at my IPad the response was there. I waited around 5 minutes and still nothing. Then i dropped out of iMessage on my IPhone and started it back up and then I saw the text pop up.

Jun 17, 2014I have the iPhone 5. A few days ago my friend switched from iPhone to Android and since my phone was stuck in using iMessage for her it wouldn't let me send messages to her. I knew this, so turned off iMessage. I turned it back on afterwards. I noticed that after that any picture messages from other people weren't coming through. I went back to iMessage and saw that it was still turned off. I turned it back on and it was stuck in "verifying" and asked me to log into an old gmail account I used for my old iPhone.
I tried loggin in but I guess the password was differnt back then, and something I can't remember. I tried resetting the password and i really just can't get into that old gmail account. So I switched iCloud and iMessage over to my new gmail, no big deal. But now I'm not getting picture messages. People tell me it gives them an error message. Is it still trying to send to the old gmail account info?
