This has probably been covered elsewhere but I haven't come across any answers yet! I bought a SIM free 2700 classic at the end of last year. I'm unable to send multimedia messages and have been unable to register it on My Nokia as the IMEI is unrecognised. I've checked the SIM card being used in another phone and there are no problems.

I have plenty of data left and I am disconnected from my at home wifi.I've tried rebooting it and trying to send a multimedia message while connected to wifi and nothing has worked.

I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. it seems that my new 2700 Classic does not store a copy of sent messages (SMS). Menu Messagerie (messaging) ElĂ©mts envoy©s (sent items) remains empty while messages are indeed received.

I have a nokia 5530 just bought early december 2009. It's been 2 days that can't receive and send text messages. So I thought it was just the service provider. But now all my inbox and outbox messages gone. The phone calls works fine. What is this? Need help what to do?

Phone doesn't manually have the settings, and AT&T customer Service was of no help at all.
View 15 Replies View RelatedThe multimedia key on my Nokia N79 is broken (nr 3 in the picture). My plan was to map the 'multimedia menu' functionality on the left selection key (nr 2). But the 'multimedia menu' doesn't appear in the list of possible mappings. It is also impossible to reach the 'multimedia menu' via the normal menu.
Conclusion: if the multimedia key is broken, it appears that it is impossible to use the 'multimedia menu'
Does anyone know a workaround? Or, if Nokia is reading this, can you add the 'multimedia menu' to the mapping-options for the selection keys?
My E72-1 just developed this annoying and hard-to-fix problem: It can't send SMS messages anymore. I hadn't noticed it at first, was wondering why the persons I sent messages didn't replied when I responded to their messages. Then happened to check my phones Outbox, and 6 text messages are stuck in there for several hours already. Just to test the phone further (to check if it might be a SIM card problem), I put this SIM card on another phone, and I was able to send messages on that phone. I also placed another SIM card on the E72 and tested sending a message -- the message sending gets stuck at the Outbox and never sends. Receiving SMS messages appears to work fine. Also, calling out (voice calls) and receiving calls work. other notes: in settings: "Phone Memory" (instead of memory card) is used for text messages, configured to have up to 999 messages. Currently, have around 600 SMS messages in the Inbox and maybe 150 text messages in the Sent folder. Let's says that's only around 800 messages (not yet 999 messages).
What I tried: I changed the setting from "phone memory" to "memory card", but still unable to send messages. (I reverted it back to phone memory since that's where my messages are residing.) I did a soft reset *#7780# which reset the E72's settings. Tried again to send SMS message -- it still fails. I decided to do a hard reset, so I did a full backup using Ovi Suite first. Then I did the hard reset *#7370# -- and it did solve the problem (able to send messages again), unfortunately, I would need to reinstall all the applications, contacts and restore the messages I saved. I tried restoring the backup (it was pretty big at 2.3Gb), but it's taking a very very long time (nearly an hour) and it seems to fail near the end of the restoration. The backing up of the phone took awhile (maybe 20 minutes or so) since it backedup probably the whole memory card too. (I should probably have deleted a few unneeded big files from the memory card before I did the backup since it appears that Ovi Suite is also backing up those big files).Right now, I'm doing the restoration a second time (a few hours since I first tried that and it sort of failed). During the restoration which ended with failure, it seems that when I tried sending SMS messages, it fails again. (ie. if I restore the backup, the problem is also restored) -- I'll check this again later if this is indeed the case. I still had around 130Mb free space left in the C: phone memory and the 4Gb microSDHD memory card had around 900Mb free space when I started the backing up in the first place. (mentioning these in case these might be related to the problem.)any idea what's causing the unable to send SMS message problem? another thing: does restoring backups really take an extremely long time? (I haven't tried the restoration function before, though I did a backup maybe 2 months ago) Does the phone get in a sort of "stuck" or "hanging" mode during the latter part of the restoration procedure?
I cant send text messages - although I can receive them - can someone please help me in setting this up in my phone.it has to be in the settings somewhere.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSpoken to T-mobile and they sent me the settings as they should be. I have saved them and tried again. But picture of video parts of messages aren't going through, only the text parts arrive. I can go to the phone settings and see the data being sent, and it is always the correct amount. But the multimedia bits don't get there. Yet I can send them to myself. The people I send to, can send and receive multimedia just fine to other people. Could someone on T-mobile post all their settings please?

View 7 Replies View RelatedToday my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I have a galaxy s5 made with Verizon that my mother bought for me unlocked and so I use at&t service and Sim card. I can send regular text messages fine but multimedia is an issue. I cannot send multimedia. I use the app that came on the phone that says Messaging instead of the Verizon messaging app. I'm not sure if I can use the Verizon one since I have at&t service. It is too expensive to switch everything to Verizon instead of the at&t stuff I bought. So... when I try to send a pic it takes forever and then says it failed everytime. If I try to select Download on any pic sent to me it takes forever then just doesn't ever do anything. I'm not sure why I'm having this issue and I've looked around for answers but haven't found anything that works. I've restarted the phone and my data is turned on. I have turned the WiFi on and off. What can I do to fix this and send and receive pics?

I'm currently using Torch 9800, on a Maxis carrier and I"m running on a 6.0 OS Bundle 2534. I have 157361192 Bytes of free space.A few days ago I had trouble sending sms messages. It would either get laggy, or be fine as I"m composing it, but lag completely when I press the 'enter' or 'send' button, and an error that says this will show:"Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(483) is not responding; process terminated"It has been going on for about the third day now. I've tried both soft and hard restarting, and none of it works. My BBM and other messaging services works fine. (Except the KakaoTalk application, too; it very rarely works although it has just released the official Blackberry version... But even before that I had that problem for a while; it worked fine before. I click to open the application and nothing comes up, instead my whole screen freezes, but when I press the red button it get's back to normal. but that's not the main concern for me at the moment.
