Nokia Lumia :: Charging Stand NFC Does Not Work On 920
Nov 26, 2012
I just received my Nokia Charging Stand DT-910 to go with my ATT Nokia 920.
1) I ordered the black stand. The stand and proprietary cord are black, but that huge AC charger is actually white. I can't believe that they didn't match the color on such an expensive accessory.
2) The actual NFC functionality does not work for me on the 920. Yes, when I tap the 920 to the base of the stand, I correctly get the NFC popup, and when I accept it takes me to what is obviously the Nokia software. The screen is titled "Charging Stand", and it starts on the Set Up page. It shows a diagram of the charging stand. The problem is that this app hangs. The progress dots on the top of the screen never stop moving. And the list where I am supposed to choose the application to open stays greyed out and never responds. It just continues hung like this forever, or on one occasion the phone rebooted itself.
I have a lumia 920 and the wireless charging pad.My phone was able to charge wirelessly yesterday but now it does not work at all.My friend has a lumia 920 as well and he was able to place his phone on my pad and started charging right away.
I'm looking to buy the Rapid Charging Stand and I have noticed that there is 2 different model number:ACC-39 340- 103 and ACC-39340-303...What is the difference between the 2 models?
My 1020 went from 100 percent charged to zero last night in three hours while in stand my mode. All apps that run in the background are blocked What could have happen?
I updated my N97, and after that my phone did not work properly, the old version was 2.0 and the new is 2.1, the charging light did not work and i get black screen when i turn my phone on.
My son's Nokia X2-00 has a strange problem. If you unlock the phone or press red key in locked state, when the phone was in stand-by for some time, the clock is not correct - it shows the last hour:minute when the phone was used. After un-locking and some fiddling with the phone the clock becomes correct. The phone is not yet updated with 8.17 and is still with 4.90.
I took a 21 hr trip w/ no recharge. Battery completely drained. Since then...
-BB will not charge. -I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord. -charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C. any suggestions? -Unit has never been wet, nor dropped. -Carrier is T-Mobile
I have this dual port USB car charger. One port is 1A, the other is 2.1A. It is advertised for phone vs. iPad charging, but I was wondering: Would charging the 920 at the 2.1A port do any damage? Would it be faster? Or, it just wouldn't make any difference. I Using Nokia 920 running on Windows Phone 8
I have my phone connected via USB (standard cable that came with it) and when I touch the metal around the camera I get shocked. It's not really painful but it's very noticable and makes me want to immediately pull away my hand. I'm familiar with electricity and I recognize it clearly.
This only happens from time to time though. When it does it can happen for maybe 5 minutes. I haven't really noticed anything special that I do when it occurs but I think it happens around the time I plug it in.
I'm a bit worried that the phone might be damaged or become damaged because of this?
I have a Nokia Lumia 920 and when I first got it I managed to sync it with Windows 8 x64 without a problem. Now when I connect it, it will charge but not connect to the "Windows Phone" app.So far I have tried:
- Re-installing the Windows Phone app. - Restarting the phone. - Restarting the PC.
I am using the offical cable that came with my device.
My phone won't turn off if you have it on charge. It will shutdown normally and then boot back to a powered on state. If not on charge then it will power down and stay off.
How do you turn off the phone whilst keeping the charger plugged in?
My daughter's lumia 610 has amazing issue. It is charging from computer, but not from normal home charger. Is there any solution for this? I will no longer go to Nokia shop, as answer is always "not used correctly", to any possible fault in phone.
I am observing the following issue with my Nokia Lumia 900 while charging. The issue happens when the phone's battery has just died and the phone turns off. If I plug the charger to the phone right at that time the screen will cycle between black - showing a battery sign - and showing an all white screen.... Then black again. The cycle can go forever. The first time it happened I left the phone plugged for 3 hours. I thought it was going to power up but it never did, and the battery was not charged at all. While this is happening the phone doesnt respond to any buttons. Even if I hold the power button for long there is no response. While this happens the 3 on-screen buttons (back / home / search) are lit. The only way I have been able to stop the cycle is to unplug it and wait several minutes.
I have both the DT-900 wireless charging plate and the DT-901 wireless charging stand. They both have a charge light that stays on when charging and goes off when charging is complete. I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.
trying to get the damn thing to charge, plug, unplug, check its still charging, its stopped, repeat process, never fully charges. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.
I updated my phone to the latest firmware update through Zune and now the battery won't charge up past 2%. I then restored the backup and the phone charges up fine but when I install the updates again the battery just won't charge?
OS version: 710.8773.98 Firmware: 1750.0805.8773.12220 Radio Soft: 1.7.50.08 Radio Hard: 8255
I am using a usb charger to charge my lumia 710. I notice my lumia 710 screen not responding to touch while charging, all the physical buttons are fine, but screen is not, that means I can't receive call or view apps while it's charging. I unplugged the usb cable, then it is back to normal. As soon as I plug back in, the screen stops working.
I've been loving the Lumia 800 since I got it bar a few problems getting it turn on, but this one takes the cake. Last night I was using my phone before I went to sleep and the battery died so I put it to one side. This morning I go to charge the phone and I'm getting very very little response from the phone. Once I plug the charger in the phone vibrates twice, although the second time it appears to be getting 'cut off.' At no point is anything visible on the screen.
Tried to use the laptop and I get the USB connection sound from my PC, however it then plays the 'removed USB device' sound and there's no indication the phone's connected.
The only technique that gets any kind of response is the 'soft reset', holding the power button and bottom volume button for 10 seconds which gets my carrier's logo up on screen before it quickly dies.
As this is my only phone I'm getting rather stressed about this. I really do need my phone in the week. Would you guys suggest I take it to one of my carrier's shop or try and go through Nokia themselves?
So dissapointed because it's my favourite phone I've ever owned, and now it's useless and causing me a lot of undue stress.
I have the Lumia 820 with the Navigon navigation app installed. I went on a trip this past weekend and noticed a strange battery drain while driving to my destination. The drive was a little over 2 hours and I was charging the phone the whole time. I figured I would test it on the drive home. I charged the phone completely before starting the drive home. I was camping so I had to use the lighter jack in the car which is always on and charged the phone from less then 10% to 100% overnight. Again the drive was a little over 2 hours, had the Navigon app open and running the whole time and the phone was plugged into the lighter and the charging icon was registering a charge the whole time. The only other thing running was cellular data. NFC, Bluetooth, Wifi, Nokia Drive, all off. When I arrived home the phone was at 45% and was very hot.
I upgraded from the Samsung Focus and using the Navigon app in the same car never ever had less power when I I ended a trip to when I started a trip. I use the Navigon app all time so this is a real issue. I am also going to post this on the Navigon website.
I have nokia lumia 800 and close because battery empty and not open and charge again and I send it to nokia care center and not repair and they said no software and technical then what shall I do???
Has anyone had experience yet with wireless charging? I am hesitating to purchase a wireless plate as I have my phone within a leather safety case. Has anybody been able to charge their phone wirelessly while the phone is inside a case? Or will it only work in its original condition i.e. no case at all. If anyone has any info it would be great.
Today I received 2 Nokia wireless charger as part of the free charger with the new Lumia 920 on AT&T. When I tried to charge my phone it worked just fine, but when I tried to charge my wife phone it didn't charge, her was in battery save mode so I tried charging it with the usb cable until it got out of battery save mode and tried again with no luck.
I tried in both wireless charger devices both phones and had the same result, my phone charged and my wife's didn't. The light in the charger device does light up with no blinking hinting that the phone is charging but there's no notification on the phone side (no sound, battery icon don't change, battery keeps dropping).
The other difference between the two phones is that her's is high gloss red and mine is matte black.
I bought the 920 upon returning from vacation on 11/13. I bought the wireless charging stand as well. The first few days it worked flawlessly. I went away on a business trip and upon my return the phone would no longer charge wirelessly.
I went to ATT to have them look at it. I was given the run around and told I had to run across town (an hour away) to their service center where I also got a good run around. I asked them if they could open a charger to see if it was my charger or the phone. They assured me it was the charger based on literally no diagnosis. Extremely frustrating. They ordered a replacement which they assured me would be here in two days. Its been almost two weeks.
Anyway, today I finally received the wireless charging plate from the ATT promotion. I promptly opened the box to see if my phone would charge hoping it would. However it does not.
Now, with both the stand and the plate, they light comes on acknowledging the link, and on the stand the nfc app launcher works. Neither will charge the phone.
Is there anything that I can try? I have already don't a hard reset erasing all my data, multiple resets, scanned through all the settings, etc.
I have turned off all background applications, 3G, and put phone into battery saver mode. The phone was charging with USB power and only serve as a GPS in my car running Nokia Drive. And I found the power was dropped by 20%in within two hours.
I updated my phone to the latest firmware update through Zune and now the battery won't charge up past 2%. I then restored the backup and the phone charges up fine but when I install the updates again the battery just won't charge?
Does the DT-900 work with the 822? Order one with my phone but it doesn't work. So not sure if its not compatible or something wrong with the phone or the charging plate.
I have a Nokia Lumia 920, which works perfectly fine. I haven't had some of the other issues reported here with freezing, apps, etc.I have a Nokia charging plate and I've found that no matter what I do the wireless charging plate absolutely does not work. I've turned off Bluetooth, Wifi, turned ON Battery Saver, disabled every background app, even hard reset my phone and tried charging it from stock. The wireless charging plate doesn't even maintain the current battery state - The battery slowly drains hour by hour. I've also tried placing the phone on the charging plate in different positions to ensure it's making good contact.
