I am using a usb charger to charge my lumia 710. I notice my lumia 710 screen not responding to touch while charging, all the physical buttons are fine, but screen is not, that means I can't receive call or view apps while it's charging. I unplugged the usb cable, then it is back to normal. As soon as I plug back in, the screen stops working.

I have had the phone for 5 days. Screen started to act up yesterday by not responding for short time periods. today it has stopped responding altogether. No response to any touch and no change after being plugged in.
View 1 Replies View Relatedabout 1 month back, my lumia 900 has the following problems : screen not responding, screen becomes sensitive (things moving by itself etc), soft resetting brings a funny problem, screen scrolling by itself and goes to settings of applications, won't stop until i did another soft reset. i have to soft reset few times for the phone to be stable.then i did a hard reset abt 3 weeks back. reinstall everything, the applications. the phone was stable but last week faced the same problems i mentioned above. i brought the phone to nokia service center and explained everything. got it back last weekend. i asked what they did. They only updated back the firmware (which i could have done myself via zune).unfortunately today, i faced the same problem. Quite frustrated as i expect quality from Nokia. don't know if this is a hardware problem or s/ware. if i bring to nokia service center, they maybe do another firmware reinstallation. really hope from some insights from nokia.with lumia 920 coming , the resale value will surely drop. i will be forced to let go the phone if problem cannot be solved and suffer a big drop in second hand value.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently purchased an Iphone 4s. It's and incredible device that has no barriers, but one issue that is present is bewildering. When the phone is plugged into any power outlet in my residence the screen doesn't respond or spots responding all together, the decline in response slowly becomes more apparent as its plugged in. Now, if the phone is removed from the power source it continues normal functionality like it has no issues.

This has happened several times lately. Green 1520 less than a month old. Sometimes when I wake up the phone, the screen simply won't respond to touch. It's not a matter of it lagging on waking (which also happens), it flat out won't respond period. I would rather not have to go through getting a replacement already.

When I plug it in, it goes to the lock screen, then it dims, and then goes to just showing the clock and the charging symbol, but it never goes fully dark. I charge the phone at night, and I use it for an alarm, so I charge it in the bedroom. I'd like it to go dark after a few minutes, so that it isn't lighting up my bedroom all night.

I have bought it and hard reset it yesterday with button combination and also with factory settings option.Now, the problem is that when i start any installation, it asks to install it. When i press ok it proceeds to neXt dialogue, either asking for permissions or asking to close an app, depending o the sis file.NOW, a moment before this dialogue, i get totally black screen for milliseconds. And then i cannot touch any button when the prompt appears. I can switch to menu and hs using hardware keys but cannot touch anything on screen. Long pressing menu key allows me to touch the screen and close apps but i can't touch anything else. I can also use power key menu to shut down mobile.Everything else is normal otherwise, i even installed many apps today successfully but now this problem occurs.

I left it for about 48 hours as I didn’t have the cable, It's had no power for some days since I lost my lightning cable - it's basically completely out of power. I've charged it once in the last week with a certified Apple lightning cable, but now it no longer responds to any cables at all.  I've tried with two different cables (neither are certified Apple cables, but both work well with their owner's iPhones) and the phone does not respond at all. I've tried charging through my computer and using a wall socket, but the phone does nothing, even after it's been plugged-in for more than 2 hours.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia 5800 was dropped on the floor from a distance .. within few days whenever i receive a call .. i touch the green arrow to answer the call but its like i'm not doing anything , it works only if i pressed the keylock from the side, and when i make a call i can't use call option if only i pressed the keylock from the side .. its like my nokia doesn't know that i'm here and touching the screen if i only pressed the keylock from the side .. everything work good after doing that .. just the problem appears when i receive a call, make call, stopping the alarm .. they all want me to press the side keylock then i can start working.. i need help because its confusing me.i've been told to turn the sensor setting on, remove the memory , reset , upgrade , but nothing solve the issue , i'm waiting your replay guys.

I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my phone connected via USB (standard cable that came with it) and when I touch the metal around the camera I get shocked. It's not really painful but it's very noticable and makes me want to immediately pull away my hand. I'm familiar with electricity and I recognize it clearly.
This only happens from time to time though. When it does it can happen for maybe 5 minutes. I haven't really noticed anything special that I do when it occurs but I think it happens around the time I plug it in.
I'm a bit worried that the phone might be damaged or become damaged because of this?
I have a Nokia Lumia 920 and when I first got it I managed to sync it with Windows 8 x64 without a problem. Now when I connect it, it will charge but not connect to the "Windows Phone" app.So far I have tried:
- Re-installing the Windows Phone app.
- Restarting the phone.
- Restarting the PC.
I am using the offical cable that came with my device.
My phone won't turn off if you have it on charge. It will shutdown normally and then boot back to a powered on state. If not on charge then it will power down and stay off.
How do you turn off the phone whilst keeping the charger plugged in?
My daughter's lumia 610 has amazing issue. It is charging from computer, but not from normal home charger. Is there any solution for this? I will no longer go to Nokia shop, as answer is always "not used correctly", to any possible fault in phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am observing the following issue with my Nokia Lumia 900 while charging. The issue happens when the phone's battery has just died and the phone turns off. If I plug the charger to the phone right at that time the screen will cycle between black - showing a battery sign - and showing an all white screen.... Then black again. The cycle can go forever. The first time it happened I left the phone plugged for 3 hours. I thought it was going to power up but it never did, and the battery was not charged at all. While this is happening the phone doesnt respond to any buttons. Even if I hold the power button for long there is no response. While this happens the 3 on-screen buttons (back / home / search) are lit. The only way I have been able to stop the cycle is to unplug it and wait several minutes.

They both have a charge light that stays on when charging and goes off when charging is complete. I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.

Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

I've been loving the Lumia 800 since I got it bar a few problems getting it turn on, but this one takes the cake. Last night I was using my phone before I went to sleep and the battery died so I put it to one side. This morning I go to charge the phone and I'm getting very very little response from the phone. Once I plug the charger in the phone vibrates twice, although the second time it appears to be getting 'cut off.' At no point is anything visible on the screen.
Tried to use the laptop and I get the USB connection sound from my PC, however it then plays the 'removed USB device' sound and there's no indication the phone's connected.
The only technique that gets any kind of response is the 'soft reset', holding the power button and bottom volume button for 10 seconds which gets my carrier's logo up on screen before it quickly dies.
As this is my only phone I'm getting rather stressed about this. I really do need my phone in the week. Would you guys suggest I take it to one of my carrier's shop or try and go through Nokia themselves?
So dissapointed because it's my favourite phone I've ever owned, and now it's useless and causing me a lot of undue stress.
I have the Lumia 820 with the Navigon navigation app installed. I went on a trip this past weekend and noticed a strange battery drain while driving to my destination. The drive was a little over 2 hours and I was charging the phone the whole time. I figured I would test it on the drive home. I charged the phone completely before starting the drive home. I was camping so I had to use the lighter jack in the car which is always on and charged the phone from less then 10% to 100% overnight. Again the drive was a little over 2 hours, had the Navigon app open and running the whole time and the phone was plugged into the lighter and the charging icon was registering a charge the whole time. The only other thing running was cellular data. NFC, Bluetooth, Wifi, Nokia Drive, all off. When I arrived home the phone was at 45% and was very hot.
I upgraded from the Samsung Focus and using the Navigon app in the same car never ever had less power when I I ended a trip to when I started a trip. I use the Navigon app all time so this is a real issue. I am also going to post this on the Navigon website.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just received my Nokia Charging Stand DT-910 to go with my ATT Nokia 920.
1) I ordered the black stand. The stand and proprietary cord are black, but that huge AC charger is actually white. I can't believe that they didn't match the color on such an expensive accessory.
2) The actual NFC functionality does not work for me on the 920. Yes, when I tap the 920 to the base of the stand, I correctly get the NFC popup, and when I accept it takes me to what is obviously the Nokia software. The screen is titled "Charging Stand", and it starts on the Set Up page. It shows a diagram of the charging stand. The problem is that this app hangs. The progress dots on the top of the screen never stop moving. And the list where I am supposed to choose the application to open stays greyed out and never responds. It just continues hung like this forever, or on one occasion the phone rebooted itself.
I have nokia lumia 800 and close because battery empty and not open and charge again and I send it to nokia care center and not repair and they said no software and technical then what shall I do???

Has anybody been able to charge their phone wirelessly while the phone is inside a case? Or will it only work in its original condition i.e. no case at all. If anyone has any info it would be great.
