My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.
My Nokia 5800 was dropped on the floor from a distance .. within few days whenever i receive a call .. i touch the green arrow to answer the call but its like i'm not doing anything , it works only if i pressed the keylock from the side, and when i make a call i can't use call option if only i pressed the keylock from the side .. its like my nokia doesn't know that i'm here and touching the screen if i only pressed the keylock from the side .. everything work good after doing that .. just the problem appears when i receive a call, make call, stopping the alarm .. they all want me to press the side keylock then i can start working.. i need help because its confusing me.i've been told to turn the sensor setting on, remove the memory , reset , upgrade , but nothing solve the issue , i'm waiting your replay guys.
I have an N97 and every day now the screen will stop responding to touch input. I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?
I have had my N900 for about 6 months and I have had the following problem on 3 occasions. The touch screen goes totally haywire. I try to select any link and the screen will jump. the multiple screens will not centre. Sometimes it will go into screen maintenance mode. a lot of the time nothing at all will happen.I noticed it happened most when the battery was almost totally run down so a full charge seemed to do the trick or it would cure itself but today it has happened with half battery life.I tried to flash it but I am unable to even select a mode for the phone to connect to my PC. This obviously means i cant run a reset, i cant back up my files nothing!Has anyone else experienced this problem and what have you done about it? I am at the point where the phone is going back to Nokia for a repair and a letter will accompany it.
I will be ordering a replacement touch screen for my N900 (stopped working for some reason). Was wondering if anybody else wanted to replace theirs. If there are enough people will try to get a better deal, if not 1 touch screen is around $62 Canadian plus shipping.
I bought my xperia z3 dual 1 month ago and it was working good. But yesterday I put my phone on charging, after removing from charging a part of its touch screen from top is not working and I'm unable to pull down notification window. I tried every thing like rebooting factory restore etc but stil the problem is not resolved.
Just got it, and the screen doesn't respond. Warranty is expired, all buttons work and so does the LCD, not the digitizer though. Is there a way around replacing the digitizer?
GF facebooked messaged me last night after I tried to ring her, saying that since our last call, her phone had seemed frozen and wasn't responding to her touch. It was on the locked screen and she couldn't get it to work. Physical buttons worked ok.I got her to reboot to reinstall through SU, but not joy. So, what's likely to be wrong with it that suddenly, the whole screen goes pop?
It all started yesterday morning. I send a message when suddenly my screen was not responsive. I tried a soft reset (power-volume down). That worked but my screen turned out black.
After +- 20 soft resets my screen finally worked again. But now the top of my screen is unresponsive. It's basically the top 1 cm that isn't responding to touch. What should I do?

I have a Touch Pro and the screen just stopped responding. I didn't drop or bump it, that I know of. Does anyone know of any fixes or even someone or some place that can fix or replace the screen?
I bought this handset 5 months back now i am facing a wierd problem , the right side of the touch screen is not responding. I tried to restore factory setting but when lock code is asked i cannot press 3 .
I have purchased xperia x10 mini pro one week back. whenever i keep my phone idle on table for few minutes, its screen stops responding (if i keep it in my hand or pocket then it works ).So, i need to take out battery every time and restart it again. I don't know what is the problem(may be setting).I have updated the software but problem is still there.
Touch screen not responding on the right, at the time of writing the letter "p" or "0" in an upright position in a horizontal position can not open the notification bar. What should I do torecalibrate the touch screen of my Motorola Atrix 2?
i was on netflix and my touch screen just stopped responding, i did the reboot twice and still nothing I'm getting worried about my phone, i don't have apple care!!! will they charge me a lot to get it fixed, i just got my phone like 5 months ago .
I have a Nokia X3-02. I had a problem with the camera, each time I open it it says "Operation Failed" then goes to standby mode. I tried to restore it to factory settings, didn't work. I connected it to the Ovi Suit to check for updates, is said "There are no updates" and something like "If you are experiencing problems with the current version, you can reinstall it" so I did. I followed the steps, made the backup, waited for a while, then when the reinstall process was done, the touch screen wasn't working anymore, the keypad is working fine, the volume up/down buttons are working, everything is working except the touch screen. Its not responding! I tried to reinstall again. Still the same. I tried to reinstall, without doing a backup.
I am facing the same issue on my 5 day old 9900. The touch screen just stopped working on the 2nd day & it has come up since then. I have tried the following to correct the issue but, no success:
1. Cold Reboot (Pull battery when device is on) 2. Simple Reboot (Pull battery when device is OFF) 3. Remove battery then, SIM & SD Card, plug in battery then pull it again & put everything back in
None of these worked, my OS version is v7.0.0.261 Bundle 1346 Platform 5.0.0.464 Should I update my phone software? Each time I try to check for an upgrade it says you have the latest one.
I did the factory reset / memory wipe... still doesn't work. It was working perfectly before I went to bed. No drops since I bought it... not a single problem up until now, and kit came out of nowhere. Is there anything I can do besides returning it? :/
The touch screen of my Xperia Mini Pro SK17a stopped reacting to touch three days ago. In the meanwhile I have repaired the software using Sony Bridge for Mac, used an old PC to repair with PC Companion and last tried SUS, but other than deleting my data nothing happened, the screen will not react to touch. The phone is 6 months old and I know there was no physical force or other stress applied upon it between the last time it worked and the moment I realized the screen was dead. It is a SK17a with 2.3.3 Gingerbread and Claro-Branded.
Its been just 2 months since the purchase and the touch screen has started acting up. It stops responding to touch and the phone has to be shut, battery taken out, phone restarted and then the touch screen starts responding. This happens atleast once a day and I'm getting fed up of this.
My iphone 4 started acting strange after upgrading from ios7 to ios7.1.1..The problem is that the touch screen is not responding on the right side after upgrading from 7 to 7.1.1...I can't use the P, delete and everything on the side. even the O.
I tried restoring as new, restored to several different backups (even older ones from other iPhones) but it didn't worked. Tried "Use Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings.." and nothing changed.Â
My handsets screen is not responding to any form of touch, it was was working then mid use just stopped. The screen still works displaying everything and is refreshing. Using the slide I can access some things but its very limited access.
My iPhone 4 on/ off button won't work so I can't re-set my phone. Been told i need new one but trying to hold out for new iphobe! Now the touchscreen won't work only in mail, and the screen is darker in mail than everythinguch else.
Looks like I will be heading to Verizon tomrrorow for an exchage on my DROID after 3 weeks with it. Today, suddenly, the bottom icons are no longer responding to touch. I cannot click the phone dialer, SMS, camera or app icons. Anything above this first row still works fine. I did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.
