Galaxy S5 :: Blurry Fast Moving Pictures With Samsung Phone
Oct 26, 2014
I've been an iPhone user from the 3 to the 5S but decided to give the Android a shot and altho I like many of the phones features, the camera isn't producing pic's anywhere as good as my old iPhone 5S did ...
Stationary shots are fine, but I have 2 dogs and like to photograph them running around and doing their thing, and so far the S5 has been terrible with results. I've tried every setting on the phone. I've DL the 'Sports Shot' mode, but still all I get is a heap of blurry shots. In an hour at the local doggy park I'll take 50 - 60 shots and end up keeping 3 or 4 as the rest are blurred.
Now I REALLY want this phone to work for me, but as I say I'm not having much luck with pics, the video is fine, but yeah, not cutting it with the pictures...
For example.
iPhone 5S...
Samsung S5
As you see the iPhone has produced a picture that is better in every way from what I see.
My Samsung S2 has had water damage, and although replacing the USB port allowed me to be able to continue using the phone, the pictures coming out of the camera now have flared/blown-out highlights, as if a glowy/milky filter has been applied to them (see samples attached), regardless of shooting conditions. Needless to say, before this happened, pictures did not have such artefacts.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? My guess is that the inside of the lens got a bit soiled while the phone was opened for repairs. In this case, I'm wondering if it would be worth opening the phone up again and using a lens wiper to clean the lens. However, I've never opened the phone up beyond the battery cover, and looking at how-to videos such as this, it seems that a lot can be broken without due care.
I have lumia 1520, and i don't understand how to get a picture right! if its a group of people, it looks like my hand is shacking! i'm know i'm missing something.
Every time I connect my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my iMac, I get a message that it cannot locate the device. The cable is good, I use it to charge my S5, and it works just fine. How to move files from iTunes to my Galaxy S 5?
I've had my Nokia Lumia 1020 for about a year, I believe. Just recently (within the last week), it has started taking blurry pictures. No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.
My pictures in the Samsung Gallery app are a lot duller than when I took them or where I downloaded them. It's strange because when I minimize the Gallery app, you can see it revert to the richer color version of the photo. I don't get it? So when I take photos with my camera the preview of it never looks good because it previews from Gallery. It's kinda greyish looking and not as vibrant. How do I resolve this?
I started to transfer my pictures from my phone to my computer and realized that all of them didn't transfer, even though they show up in Gallery and Photos. When I started looking at the folder structure on my phone while I had it connected to my computer, I found pictures in other folders. How many different folders are used to store pictures and is there a way I can get them to save to the same place so I can transfer them more easily. The ones that seem to be in different folders are the ones I've saved from texts and emails. They're in 2 different folders. I'm worried that I'm going to miss others because I don't know where they are.
I backed up all photos from my old phone Samsung s4 (which is now completely dead) and transferred them to the new one Samsung s6. Apparently they can be only seen on a APP called photos but not on my gallery. How can I move them.
When I upload jpeg pictures from my pc to my samsung s5 out of 93 only 5 open up the rest are a black screen with mountain image and exclamation mark. I have deleted from sd card and tried 3 times with same results
Ok I am running out of space and cant install anything. Dont have a pc and don't want to send to the cloud. I do have 7gb of space on my card but when I move anything to the sd card it changes the date of it. Is there anyway I could move a lot of pics and vids without changing the original date?
ive never used voice mail before and have just transferred my number from my pay and go phone to contract phone (galaxy s2).once it did it.i got a few network messages and a new voice mail notification.i had to set some sort of number to dial it..and when i call it it, the o2 lady voice just says "at the third stroke the time brought to you by o2 will be blah blah" then beep beep beep..then it just loops....no idea what it is.and i cant get rid of the notification..
I have sorted my Apps alphabetically in the grids on my Galaxy s II, but they seems to move by themselves to other grids.Normal I have 16 apps in a grid, but now I come across grids with only 15, 12 or 8 apps inside. The other 1, 4 or 8 have just moved to the following grid.
Does anyone know of how I would possibly be able to retrieve photos from my Samsung Galaxy S2 that has a non-fuctioning screen? The rest of the phone works - it charges, turns on (the 4 buttons light up as well as the light on the top) and the speakers for the ringtones and alerts works as well. I am desperate to get the pictures and am seeking all advice possible.
Whenever I shut down and turn my phone back on, the apps within the applications have all moved around and forgotten their positions? The apps on the home screen are unaffected.
In Japan, where I bought my SGS II from NTTdocomo, GPS was always working fine. But since I moved to Germany a month ago GPS has lots of problems. Google Maps as well as other map application seem not to be able to get a GPS fix:
- The map shows a location near me but not accurate.
- In Google Maps there is always a large circle around the location mark, indicating low accuracy.
- Even though I move my physical location, the location mark on the map doesn't update for a long time.
- MyTracks (by Google) constantly shows the message "Waiting for a better GPS fix".
Is my GPS sensor broken or could this be related to using a NTTdocomo branded SGS II in another country? All this is happening with a clearly visible sky.
I have been having intermittent problems with fast battery drain before and after upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS. In fact the reason why I upgraded to ICS is to see if it would fix it. Most of the articles I have read on the net are about people who have problems after the upgrade, which is why I am left puzzled. Often I leave my phone unplugged during the night and it has almost completely drained by the morning. here is some more information:
- In the battery stats my Android OS percentage is always high (60% +)
- I am always careful with trying to preserve battery life, for example setting the backlight to minimum brightness and closing applications which are running in the background
- I have gone for months where the battery has been fine, but cant seem to spot a trend
My Samsung Galaxy S2 has suddenly started draining it's battery quick My S2 is sim free and is running Android 2.3.4 it's not rooted it's just standard I checked on battery usage and it says Andriod OS 62% And my battery is on 82% I only fully charged the battery around 2 hrs ago I haven't used it in that time either And the screen sometimes freezes now so I have to do a battery pull It sometimes reboots on it's own too this has only happened today?
I have had a Galaxy S2 for 4 months and love it. I have had no problems at all with the phone at all however yesterday it got hot at the top near the camera lens and the battery died in 2 hours. I turned it off and on and it seemed ok but then did it again. I removed all apps and everything else that was using the cpu as the news and weather app was displaying loading continually I thought that might have something to do with it. It seemed ok for a while and then did it again. I noticed that although there were 3 grey bars of network signal there was no G/3G/H or in/out arrows displayed next to the bars. Tried a manual network search and it seemed ok but then the same thing happened... overheated and battery died fast again. Turned it off and on again...tried to make a call...no connection. I know I do not get a good signal at home but can usually move around and get one but couldn't even after a reboot. Put sim in another phone and it connected ok.
Basically, I listen to music on my S2 while riding my motorbike, and yesterday I noticed that at higher speeds the music gets slower and even "blurry", sounded similar to the old (showing my age now) tape disks when the tape was dirty or stuck or lose. I keep my S2 in my right side pocket inside my jacket, and noticed when while this problem appears I press lightly against the phone it returns to normal again. Sometimes it stays normal for a little while, sometimes it reverts back to this 'broken' sound as soon as I stop pressing it lightly.Later I shut the phone down and powered it back up, hoping that may sort it out, but the problem still persists. It appears it's not every time it happens. Earlier this morning at higher speeds nothing happened, later on it returned however.
With this, it's hard to play some games, like Fruit Ninja.
With a MT tester app, when I move my finger fast, it acts like my first finger was the second. Is it a hardware or a software issue? It was on GB, and yesterday I upgraded to ICS, and it is too.
When moving away the lock screen.. my apps and everything on the screen looks very out of color and blurry. But it will go back to normal in maybe 2 too 10 seconds. It's been happening frequently and was wondering if it has happened to anybody else and if there's a way to fix it.
Just got a new G4. When I use the camera app to look at things, it is very clear. However when I take a picture then look at the picture, it becomes more blurry.
So I got a new Samsung Galaxy s5, and transfered an SD card to the phone. I decided to move all photos from the SD card to the phone, and some seem to have dissapeared during the process. Have checked all the folders in the phone, but still cannot find them.
When you move the phone away from your face to hangup a call it takes about 2 seconds for the screen to wake up? Is there an adjustment I haven't found yet. Just came over from iPhone.
