With a MT tester app, when I move my finger fast, it acts like my first finger was the second. Is it a hardware or a software issue? It was on GB, and yesterday I upgraded to ICS, and it is too.
When the phone is on a table or similar flat surface and the phone screen is not responding when using your fingers?I do have a front and rear glass screen protector and a plastic clip on rear protective cover, so I am guessing, these are to blame, if so, why?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBought a SK17i about 1 year ago, I was perfectly happy.. Then after some time the touchscreen responded slower as normal. Helpdesk advised to do system update. Problem seemed solved, but returned after some time again. I removed pictures and movies and emptied out the inbox, phone worked normal. Last month it just failed on me, it just stopped working.. I get no respons from the touchscreen, tried recalibrating & system update & even hard reset ( advised by sony helpdesk) without result! When I slide it open to use the keyboard, the display flips and I can navigate with the arrows ect so the phone seems still fully functional except for the touch screen

When i slid to get lock of half way it stopped, flickered and got back in begin posistion.Since then i cant use my touch screen. Battery removing and such doenst work. Few hours after that the Touchscreen didn't respond and the buttons didn't work, just the lock button, and when I try to power the phone off it just come 3 alternatives Quiet mode, Flight mode and shut down, but I can't get further it just ends there and i waited 1 day to empty the battery and to update it, and i just can't update it because i can't get to the menu and put it in USB mode and the back button don't work so what should I do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32) and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) - it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug).There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI plugged my x10 into my Macbook Pro with Sony Bridge for Mac installed and the touchscreen suddenly stopped working. When I unplugged the cable the touchscreen remained unresponsive but then after a while it became responsive for half a minute before going off again. All this time the phone keeps telling me I've got new email coming through but I don't know where that email is. Now I'm getting texts but I cannot read them.
How can I get my touchscreen to work again? This appears to be a software problem? Can I read or export SMS messages without using the touchscreen?
I would erally need to back up my SMS if I need to wipe the phone but so far have not found a way to do this. I have never updated the system of the phone so I assume it's still in the original factory OS.

I've been an iPhone user from the 3 to the 5S but decided to give the Android a shot and altho I like many of the phones features, the camera isn't producing pic's anywhere as good as my old iPhone 5S did ...
Stationary shots are fine, but I have 2 dogs and like to photograph them running around and doing their thing, and so far the S5 has been terrible with results. I've tried every setting on the phone. I've DL the 'Sports Shot' mode, but still all I get is a heap of blurry shots. In an hour at the local doggy park I'll take 50 - 60 shots and end up keeping 3 or 4 as the rest are blurred.
Now I REALLY want this phone to work for me, but as I say I'm not having much luck with pics, the video is fine, but yeah, not cutting it with the pictures...

My Xperia Mini Pro was fine, then one morning i woke up and the touch screen wasn't working correctly. It had massive dead spots which made things like flicking through the menus impossible, or selecting button that were in a certain place. The weird thing is I think these dead spots are random and change around. Also it would feel like was getting an input from other parts of the screen at the same time, like as if somelse was touching it too.
For example it would keep doing that overview of all your widgets randomly. The problem isn't as bad as it was originally, but is still very unusable. I did some service tests to give you an idea of what was going on. I tried the tests like 30 seconds after each other, and one had a clear dead spot and the other completely fine. It seems totally random. I've tried repairing it with PC Companion, everything is set to how it was when I bought it, and still that had no affect.
I've recently had issues with my Xoom where it often loses touch connection. When I touch and drag it suddenly acts as if I lifted my finger when I did not. It's almost like something is interrupting the touch. I've tried uninstalling everything, doing a restore, stopping services, restarting the tablet, but none of it has worked.This does not happen all the time, but happens often, most often when I first turn the tablet on or when I've been using it a long time. Imagine playing Angry Birds and having the bird fling itself when you've just started pulling back the sling shot. It's quite frustrating. Kidding aside it affects other applications as well. For example I can no longer draw dependably since my lines end up cutting off at unexpected moments.
My screen also has some kind of strange oily stuff under it when I press it. I thought these issues were due to my screen protector so I took it off, but the issues continue. It's been getting worse to the point where sometimes it does not go away for a while. Eventually the oily stuff disappears but when I touch the screen it comes back.
I upgrade my xperia pro for the latest version and the internet connection goes too slow did some body knows how can I make it faster or when is going to make another upgrade?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Motorola Droid for about 3 months now, bought it new from an overstock dealer on ebay, sealed box and clean MEID.
The phone has been working PERFECTLY up until now, where now the touch screen suddenly does not respond at all. I can see the phone is working fine; the keyboard works, volume and power button works, I can see all the icons running, the time changes, everything. Taking out the battery never works. I did a hard reset and had the touch screen working a few times, but it's really hit or miss. It eventually reverts back to not working.
Again as I said, I have tried hard resets, safe mode, taking the battery out and letting it sit, took the SD card out, formatted the SD card, everything.
This all seems highly unusual, I have craddled this thing since i've gotten it to be sure I do not damage it. It is in pristine condition in every respect. I have no way to replace it since I am with an independent phone company.
I usually charge my phone overnight because the battery goes almost dead by the end of the day. I had connected my phone to the charger and tried to use the touch screen, it didnt work to my surprise. I tried to use the hardware buttons, they seemed to be working but all that in vain because when i tried to switch off the phone, i couldn't...!! Because the final screen to confirm the switch off of the phone is a touch command. This is not expected to happen on a device that i paid so much for...
I think there is some problem with the gravity sensor when connecting to the charger, i have seen this only when i connect my phone for charging and when the phone is in a position where the screen is facing the floor tilted towards the right. I have seen this problem 3 times, and would not like to see it happen again.
I have recently got a symbol in the top left hand side of my screen. Since i got it i have lost the ability to text using the touch screen , also i have lost the smiley face applicaion.
The main screen sometimes flickers too. The symbol is like a wedge with a rectangle shape sat on top with a red circle beside it.
Is there any way or any app to "unlock" the phone using touchscreen only. i dont want to use the key lock button which is at the top of phone to lock the phone. i found one app in the market to lock the phone using touch screen.
