Xperia Mini/pro :: (sk17) Does Not Do Fast-boot

I wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32)  and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) -  it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug).There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...

Xperia Mini/pro :: Region Codes For SK17?
I'm the unfortunate owner of a (belgian, Mobistar) branded SK17i. The mobistar branding was not evident when I bought the phone, or I would not have bought anything but a generic BE phone.As of yet, there is still no update for my phone (still on .335).know the region code for Generic BE? I'd like to try my luck at editing build.prop and tricking SEUS into updating my phone to a non-branded firmware.Extra marks for pointing out where to find this information (it must be available on the web somewhere... only I couldn't find it)

Xperia Mini/pro :: (sk17) Touch Screen Stops Working?
My mini pro started behaving weird lately. A few days ago the touch screen stopped working. The phone was not responding to anything but the hardware buttons. I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal.This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.

Xperia Mini/pro :: Unable To Unlock The Boot Loader?
I am trying to unlock the boot loader of my Mini pro phone following the instructions given by Sony Ericsson on this page.

I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!

I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.

Motorola Defy Mini :: Won't Boot - Red Moto Only
I restarted my phone yesterday, or rather tried to - but it will not boot - it gets as far as the shimmering red M symbol but no farther. The only way to shut down ore try again is to remove the battery. Have also tried with USB connected, and with sim card removed. Battery shows 90% charge when USB connected.

Have tried hardware reset but it never shows the menu.

This phone is only a couple of weeks old and Im severely disapointed, my first time back to Motorola after many years away. It seemed like a good phone, but this is a great inconvenience.

Xperia Ray :: Battery Draining Out Fast?
After using my cell for 5 months mostly without any issues, I am seeing problems in battery. Since last 2 days the battery is draining out very fast ... like close to 1 day after fully charging. I am noticing this as an issue since earlier it used to take close to 2.5 days after fully charging. The usage pattern is same ... right now my cell is dead and i will provide battery usage data once i charge it .

Xperia Ray :: Facebook Calendar Is 7 Hours Fast?
And there is no way to fix it without messing up my google calendar times.  I see this has been a problem for many users for several months now.  It's very surprising that it hasn't been fixed by now - obviously not a priority. I'm in NZ so there are no countries 7 hours ahead of us meaning the bug is probably not timezone related.  The only way around this is to use a facebook app to sync.  I am using the latest firmware.  It happens whether I have set the phone to use my timezone or not.There is another problem - there's no way to turn off facebook birthdays while keeping events.  This means my calendar is cluttered up with birthdays even single day.Besides that and the fact my network connectivity isn't as good as my cheap Huawei from before (data, what data?), this is an amazing phone!

Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Running Hot - Battery Draining Fast Even When Turned Off
My stock Xperia Neo, running gingerbread (Received all updates from sony) has following issues. The battery runs out of juice rapidly (3 - 4 hours). Even when I turn the phone OFF (not idle) it drains completely to a point where it does not want to power on anymore. Also the battery wont always charge, and when it charges the phone (not the battery) gets really hot (the part where cpu is located).

I thought the battery had given up after 1 year; So I ordered a brand new battery. When I received this new battery, the phone restarted. But this new battery faced all the same problems. Phone running hot, battery draining really quick (withing 3-4 hours idle, wifi and data turned off). And when the phones powers off due to the battery being completely empty, it does not restart any more and it does not charge anymore.

Xperia Ray :: Super Fast Battery Consumption (nearly 8% Per Hr) When Idle/standby?
The above screenshots reveal that my phone is rapidly losing battery at a rate of 7.3% per hour. This value is sometimes up to 8% per hour. The split is typically as shown in the first screenshot - "cell standby" and "phone idle" account for circa 50% of the loss.what I get with what I consider to be standby/idle (so not even "normal use") and with best (?) battery saving settings:
WIFI - offGPS - offData - offRoaming - offDisplay Brightness - 0Power save mode - onJuice defender - installed and set to advancedThe only app I have installed apart from the usual "bloatware" is avast (as I prefer this over the pre-installed Mcafee)I also have GPU rendering forced to 2DI have max one background process runningWindow & transition animations - offAndroid version: 4.0.3Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-70Kernel version: 2.632.9-PERFBuild number: 4.1.A.0.562I have made only a single 2 minute call today, No SMS, No MMS and not used the internet nor played any games.The apps/processes running are shown on the above screenshots. Although I updated my phone using PC Companion to 4.0.3 (ICS), this has made no noticeable difference to battery life as I had the problem already before this. In fact I had hoped it might fix the problem! Apps such avast and juice defender also made no difference (good or bad) to battery life - the output I get from the screenshots are nearly always the same - 7 to 8% battery loss per hour.

I've tried battery recalibration (which I understand is achieved by using phone to 0%, taking out battery for 15 mins, replacing it and charging to 100% whilst off, then starting up phone). Again, nothing.I don't think I can get even "normal use" of 12 or so hours and the phone is most certainly NOT meeting the specified values:Talk time (up to): 7 hoursStandby time (up to): 440 hoursMusic listening time: 36 hours The above would be a dream! (I mean, standby 440 hours? That represents 440/24 = 18 days!
