I wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32) and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) - it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug). There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...
I'm the unfortunate owner of a (belgian, Mobistar) branded SK17i. The mobistar branding was not evident when I bought the phone, or I would not have bought anything but a generic BE phone. As of yet, there is still no update for my phone (still on .335).know the region code for Generic BE? I'd like to try my luck at editing build.prop and tricking SEUS into updating my phone to a non-branded firmware.Extra marks for pointing out where to find this information (it must be available on the web somewhere... only I couldn't find it)
My mini pro started behaving weird lately. A few days ago the touch screen stopped working. The phone was not responding to anything but the hardware buttons. I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal. This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.
After updating my sk17 to 4.0.4 my status bar began to freeze. Every time i close applications - time stops, and every icon that was in bar stuck there. I asked some people, they told me to root my phone and replace some files. But I don't have much experience in rooting, so i am afraid of spoiling phone. Set my status bar back without rooting my se?
I want to install CyanogenMod on my Ray but all the tutorials I have seen say I need to go into fastboot mode. Now, it says that all I have to do is hold the volume up button and attach a USB cable but nothing happens when I do this! The phone just charges as per usual.
With this, it's hard to play some games, like Fruit Ninja.
With a MT tester app, when I move my finger fast, it acts like my first finger was the second. Is it a hardware or a software issue? It was on GB, and yesterday I upgraded to ICS, and it is too.
I upgrade my xperia pro for the latest version and the internet connection goes too slow did some body knows how can I make it faster or when is going to make another upgrade?
reformatted my phone by accident and now when it boots up the SE logo screen comes on and then just stays on nothing else happens. When i reboot it again the same thing happens it cant get past the SE logo screen... obviously ive wiped the firmware off it completely but i dont know how to flash it back on ive tryed to use "update service" but it cant find any software updates and i cant use pc companion because it wanting me to have my phone working to connect it
I am trying to unlock the boot loader of my Mini pro phone following the instructions given by Sony Ericsson on this page.
I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.
This morning, I clicked on Bluetooth widget by mistake which rebooted the phone. Since then it was continuously on boot loop and keeps on rebooting itself after the XPERIA logo.It got turned on once in afternoon after which i did a factory reset and it was working fine. In eve I tried to turn the Bluetooth on and it is around 4-5 hours my phone is still rebooting continuously. It is Android 4.0.4 and never rooted, minimum apps, all are from PlayStore only.
I just bought an 02 mini x10. It's new and came into a sealed box. But first time I switched it on nothing appears on screen. Left it to charge for a whole day (charging indicator lits up) but still nothing. But when I turn it on, the boot music/sound comes in and also I can only see the screen when under sunlight. I can see 'Silent mode " and "settings" on the screen. But the phone switches down when I press on either.
My phone is used as a controller to activate an application. However, it suffers from frequent crashes (Tasker),Is there a way to remotly reboot the phone?i.e. by using another Android application (remote access - like SMS command)? Is there a way to implement a watchdog internally that will reboot if there is no usage for 24 hours
my motorola zoom has locked it's self in fast boot mode see bellow what it looks like on the screen --> Fastboot Starting Fastboot protocol support. It has been in this point for about 3 hours this morning how do i get it out of this or get it to boot up?
i have some questions to aski'm a possessor of an xperia mini st15i (italian version i think)i rooted the stock .587 ics, installed via xparts a sort of clockworkmod emulation (cause it's on system partition i think) and flashed phone with real ics 4 for locked bootloader based on stock .462 i did this following some howtos in this forum and whitout unlocking bootloader.now i would like to unlock that bootloader, install native clockworkmod and the android official version from google, possibly gingerbreadcause speed issues on ics, here are the questions can i proceed following normal howtos ignoring what i did to my phone?are there any guide to read?do exist some ics based rom for locked bootloader that gives an evident increase of performance?
I friend's Nexus 6P ran out of battery yesterday. Upon charging, the phone refused to start and it has gone into a bootloop (endless startup animation). I don't have the phone in hand yet (will get it tonight), but I had my friend get into the bootloader and try to flash the factory images using the included batch file. This did not work because he did not have the OEM unlock option enabled in developer options.
I had him try "Fast boot Format User data", which also didn't work as the phone is locked. Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Or a way to unlock without the OEM unlock option enabled?
I have a Nexus 5 (Hammerhead) 32gb device, stock with no rooting. I mean, I had never done anything special on it ever.
1. Recently I started getting Google Play Store related problems, first 194 error and then couple of days back 495 (I think). After trying switching on/off, clearing cache and some other similar ways to fix this, I decided to do a factory reset
2. I backed up all my data, and followed the documented steps for factory reset. The phone got stuck on 'erasing'. After waiting for over 24 hours, I finally figured out that this 'erasing' is not going to complete, ever.
3. So I again did some research and figured that I should do a fastboot recovery. Tried that with no difference. Recovery again took me to 'erasing' screen.
4. Some more research and then I decided to flash a factory image using ADB. I was (and still am) a complete newbie, so first I figured out what was ADB and how to get to it. After completing the installation, I found out Nexus 5 factory images. There was no mention of which ones to chose, so I just picked up the latest one.
5. Having learnt my lessons, I read the flashing instructions many times and also watched some videos 3-4 times. Once I was confident that no more information was going to be had, and the phone was unlocked (fastboot oem unlock) I went ahead with the flashing. I did it step by step - bootloader, radio and they recovery image. The last one failed.
6. I did some more research and found a method which told me to unzip the last image and flash the component images one by one. I did. Success! However, the phone did not reboot by itself as the guide said it would. So I tried to boot it manually.
7. I did not get the dead android with red exclamation mark. Instead, I got an alive android with gears whirring on its tummy and back. Pressing power + vol-up button told me that this was the 'formatting /data' screen. I am unable to get past this screen. I am supposed to get to a screen where I can wipe data and cache etc. But I cannot get to it.
8. I have tried to wait it out (16 hours) and tried flashing the images again. Ultimately, I end up here.
9. I am unable to find any answers on what to do if stuck on this screen. So this is the end? Is my phone bricked? Is there anything else I can try? Will trying TWRP way useful or is that just another way to same failure?
i just wanted to reboot my phone and now its stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.i tried to remove the battery and mem card but nothing helps.i got important files on the phone so i dont want to do a hard reset.can some plz help me? at least give me some kind of temp solution so i can backup the phone and then reset?
I restarted my phone yesterday, or rather tried to - but it will not boot - it gets as far as the shimmering red M symbol but no farther. The only way to shut down ore try again is to remove the battery. Have also tried with USB connected, and with sim card removed. Battery shows 90% charge when USB connected.
Have tried hardware reset but it never shows the menu.
This phone is only a couple of weeks old and Im severely disapointed, my first time back to Motorola after many years away. It seemed like a good phone, but this is a great inconvenience.
Anyone have this problem?I got this phone about 1 week ago from HK.I've encountered glitches here and there, and sometimes using hard-reset gets rid of the problem.But... just yesterday night I was typing an SMS then suddently it decide to reboot.
Okay, so no big deal I can retype but then it freezes on the White & Blue Nokia screen (no handshake).I tried shut it down, didn't respond. I took out the battery as the last resort.I put the battery back and tried to restart again. This time it vibrated but nothing else.I tried again... and all went dead. Now my phone is like a brick to me.I can't do hard-reset if the power button cannot work!
i have a Problem with my Z3. The Akku is very good.. but the last time when it reaches 15% it discharges very fast until 9% or 2%. Like in 2 minutes. Is this Problem known or should i request a repair?
After using my cell for 5 months mostly without any issues, I am seeing problems in battery. Since last 2 days the battery is draining out very fast ... like close to 1 day after fully charging. I am noticing this as an issue since earlier it used to take close to 2.5 days after fully charging. The usage pattern is same ... right now my cell is dead and i will provide battery usage data once i charge it .
My phone is working pefect before but from last one month appox its fast charging is not working, it is taking around 4-5 hours to charge completely. I tried Formating and software repair with PC Suit but nothing works.
Using z3,why my battery before this if fully charging it will stated can stay until 2days buy now fully charging but It appears only for 14hours only for the battery
And there is no way to fix it without messing up my google calendar times. I see this has been a problem for many users for several months now. It's very surprising that it hasn't been fixed by now - obviously not a priority. I'm in NZ so there are no countries 7 hours ahead of us meaning the bug is probably not timezone related. The only way around this is to use a facebook app to sync. I am using the latest firmware. It happens whether I have set the phone to use my timezone or not. There is another problem - there's no way to turn off facebook birthdays while keeping events. This means my calendar is cluttered up with birthdays even single day.Besides that and the fact my network connectivity isn't as good as my cheap Huawei from before (data, what data?), this is an amazing phone!
I have a problem with my Neo V. After one of chargings after 10 min my battery discharged completely, without using telephone. It was really warm (maybe some overheating?). After one day I noticed that telephone is discharging really fast even if I am not using it.For time to time LED notification light is blinking in Yellow colour, do you know what does it mean?
My stock Xperia Neo, running gingerbread (Received all updates from sony) has following issues. The battery runs out of juice rapidly (3 - 4 hours). Even when I turn the phone OFF (not idle) it drains completely to a point where it does not want to power on anymore. Also the battery wont always charge, and when it charges the phone (not the battery) gets really hot (the part where cpu is located).
I thought the battery had given up after 1 year; So I ordered a brand new battery. When I received this new battery, the phone restarted. But this new battery faced all the same problems. Phone running hot, battery draining really quick (withing 3-4 hours idle, wifi and data turned off). And when the phones powers off due to the battery being completely empty, it does not restart any more and it does not charge anymore.
