Dec 9, 2011I'm the unfortunate owner of a (belgian, Mobistar) branded SK17i. The mobistar branding was not evident when I bought the phone, or I would not have bought anything but a generic BE phone.As of yet, there is still no update for my phone (still on .335).know the region code for Generic BE? I'd like to try my luck at editing build.prop and tricking SEUS into updating my phone to a non-branded firmware.Extra marks for pointing out where to find this information (it must be available on the web somewhere... only I couldn't find it)

Aug 25, 2012I wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32) and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) - it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug).There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...

Sep 21, 2012My mini pro started behaving weird lately. A few days ago the touch screen stopped working. The phone was not responding to anything but the hardware buttons. I was already prepared to take it to repair, but after 2 days I restarted it and everything was back to normal.This time it worked for about a day and then again...while unlocking it the touch screen went dead. Keeping it turned off for a day "solved" it this time. It can't be a complete hardware defect, otherwise it wouldn't just start working again after some time.

The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.

As all of may know, in GB we had an opportunity to ZOOM in or out by touching the bottom right side of the screen and after that appeared the small panel with +- buttons for zoom. Now, in ICS at least I don't have it ( maybe it's my particular problem) . I really confused because of it coz i often used this kind of zoom to read some kind of articles and it helped to reflow the text if text size was uncomfortable. With multitouch zoom text doesn't reflow...and this ***** to me.

I've got the notification icon for EDGE data transmission and is being indicated when accessed from the browser but not from the applications. Feb 10, 2011I'm using an xperia x10 mini-pro handset, bought seperately in Australia. I then used it in NZ with no issues but when I returned to Australia and put a Virgin sim card in it I've had sooo many issues with my internet. According to Virgin, the network settings are correct and an update should have fixed this latest problem. I can access facebook but when I try to load a page using the browser it asks me to sign in with username and password, under access point names it has the same proxy number as the error mesage is coming up with.The guy at Virgin said other prople have had this issue and an update has fixed it but according to PC companion my phone is up to date. I did the repair/update process anyway and at least now I can sync and access the net with all my other apps as far as I can see.
