My main email account is with yahoo and although I've entered the pop3 and then the imap settings that yahoo tell me are correct, I cannot get the email set up on my phone. how to do this without having to access my account via internet browser?

They show a "connectivity error" kind of message. am led to think whether there is some global setting that these applications use, which doesn't allow them to access the internet settings somehow?I did a factory reset, I also used the Sony Ericsson update service and did an upgrade to Android 2.1...

Mainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.

I have followed the instruction by entering setup and clicking Email Accounts. On that screen it allows to me two options Internet Mail Account & Enterprise Account. However when I try and click the Internet Mail account nothing happens, it does not let me use this option. I have tried the Enterprise Account and it says "Status: initialzing service" but nothing is happening. (been like this for 30mins)

I really hope, that i will find an answer to my issue in here. So the issue is with ZOOM in browser in ICS. As all of may know, in GB we had an opportunity to ZOOM in or out by touching the bottom right side of the screen and after that appeared the small panel with +- buttons for zoom. Now, in ICS at least I don't have it ( maybe it's my particular problem) . I really confused because of it coz i often used this kind of zoom to read some kind of articles and it helped to reflow the text if text size was uncomfortable. With multitouch zoom text doesn't reflow...and this ***** to me.

However, I was successful getting the internet from my handset browser but not from the applications like Email, Gmail, GTalk, Sony Ericsson Sync, and Market. I've got the notification icon for EDGE data transmission and is being indicated when accessed from the browser but not from the applications. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using an xperia x10 mini-pro handset, bought seperately in Australia. I then used it in NZ with no issues but when I returned to Australia and put a Virgin sim card in it I've had sooo many issues with my internet. According to Virgin, the network settings are correct and an update should have fixed this latest problem. I can access facebook but when I try to load a page using the browser it asks me to sign in with username and password, under access point names it has the same proxy number as the error mesage is coming up with.The guy at Virgin said other prople have had this issue and an update has fixed it but according to PC companion my phone is up to date. I did the repair/update process anyway and at least now I can sync and access the net with all my other apps as far as I can see.
