I was going to try and log on to the internet using my storm 9530 and i noticed that i don't have a "browser" icon in my menu applications, so i couldn't access the internet to surf or download anything.. can anyone help me on how i could get the browser icon? i don't remember ever deleting any applications on my phone

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Storm 2 9550 that is from Verizon USA. The device is GSM unlocked, and I am using it from Hungary on a local carrier. I am in the middle of a carrier change that has Blackberry services, however I currently have 3G web access on my actual carrier. However, the integrated browser that came with the phone, does not allow me to use the 3g network, only WIFI service. I cannot even set it to 3G on the browser options tab, as it only offers "hotspot browser".
Is there any way I can find a http browser that supports the 3g network, so I could surf the web on this carrier until I complete the carrier change? Is there any on Blackberry App world? I didnt manage to find one.
Also, I would like to have a POP3 client on my device that can communicate through 3G with a pop3 mail server, as the integrated email messaging software that Blackberry device software 5 offers is only capable of having a mail account through a BB service provider.I am very staisfied with the device itself, great for managing calls, and multimedia - did not face any crashes at all (maybe once when I wnated to take a picture and it frozen when the flash lit up).
I've suddenly missed the SMS icon on my BB Storm 9500. I've brows the forum and tried the different solutions I've found there..hide and show all .. searched for the icon in other folders. I've changed the SMS and email setting to Separate instead of theme control and nothing happened.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked storm and use tmobile as my carrier. Two weeks ago I found that my browser icon had disappeared. I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

The blackberry is standalone and have checked updates wifi locations / signals etc. The wifi network he tries to connect to is the captive login type, i.e. open browser window to type in password. After connecting to the wifi and clicking complete you should see : However, we only see prioritize wi-fi profiles.Can anyone help ? Have i missed something?

Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

Okay, I am on a Storm 1 (9530) on Verizon on OS version 5.0.0.328. I currently have Application Memory total of 128.0MB, but only 3.8MB free. My device memory and Media card memory are both about 97% free. The apps I use are: BB App World and FB, and the 3rd party apps are: iBerry Slider v 5.1 (the theme I'm currently using), Documents to Go, MeterBerry, Slacker Radio, StormLock and The Weather Channel. The first theme I downloaded was Appleberry, but I got bored with it quickly and deleted it. There were a couple of other apps I had, but I deleted those, in the hopes that I'd have more memory (one was BerryWeather; can't remember the others). None of my current apps uses that much memory, as far as I can tell - and certainly not anything near the 128.0MB limit. Not sure when, even after cleaning out the cache, using Memory Cleaner and doing a battery pull via MeterBerry, the app memory listed is still so low. Could the theme be draining it all? When I upgraded the OS to 5, should I have shrunk it? I'm not really sure what that means, just saw that expression on the Boards.
How do you clear the call log from the phone application. When I go to the messages folder and open call log, and do a delete prior it clears them there. But when I hit the green key to use the phone and then the middle icon for call log, they are still listed there. I know I highlight one and scroll forever but I have like 6 months or more worth! And where is it set how long to keep call log?

I would then typically select the "Menu" button which allows me to "Save", "Set as Defaults", "Apply Defaults" or "Edit Defaults".The problem I am having is that "Save" does nothing. "Apply Defaults" does nothing. "Set as Defaults" is the only selection that works, my app then launches.Shouldn't "Save" and/or "Apply Defaults" do virtually the same thing considering I have all Permissions set to Allow.

Every time I try to go to a full site, it displays a loading bar and after that it just shows a blank screen. Even when I try to search on google, the result page is always blank. I installed my backup to reinstall my contacts but I now have no browser and the instructions of register now from the Advance options does not work!!! It stays blank. My phone is working with calls and text but no Internet? It was working fine prior to OS update. How do I get my Internet back and my Browser?
I see all these great post for those on At&T and Verizon, but no one is listing any info to those users that are not paying 100.00 + bucks a month! Im in California and am using Cricket paying only 45.00 per month with unlimited text, calls, and internet. I paid $75.00 for the BB 9530 and $30.00 to flash. I surely dont want to pay another 30.00 to re-flash the phone just to get the internet back that was working fine prior to OS upgrade.
