BB Storm 9500 :: Phone Missing Icon After Update?

A few days ago I performed the recent update to my 9530 Storm. Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

I've suddenly missed the SMS icon on my BB Storm 9500. I've brows the forum and tried the different solutions I've found there..hide and show all .. searched for the icon in other folders. I've changed the SMS and email setting to Separate instead of theme control and nothing happened.

I just did I reset on my phone and my app world icon went missing ?So I searched everywhere and couldnt find it, then went to the applications option and it said it was still there. So I deleted it and when my phone booted back up the icon was back, and then I re-installed it and the icon was gone again but it still shows its installed in my applications list ?

I have an unlocked storm and use tmobile as my carrier. Two weeks ago I found that my browser icon had disappeared. I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

I used to have a bb curve 8900 and used bb maps all the time. now I have a bold 9700 and would also like to use my bb maps. For some reason it is listed in my apps when I go to settings, but the icon is no where to be found so I can't ever open it! I use poynt a lot and it uses bb maps to map out my travel, but I can't just open bb maps to do my own route with an address. What is the deal? How can I get the bb maps icon to appear on my "home screen"? It isn't in any of my other folders either

I seriously believe that there is a problem with my storm getting updated through my laptop. Since the phone is connected to the net, is it possible to update directly instead of via the laptop?

when I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

how do i know does my storm now running on leaked or official software? because i think that my full qwerty looks little bit different than others?And last questions is those it metter on which software (leaked or official) is my storm unlocked? (because if he is unlocked on leaked version does he lock if i update to official version?)

I have the Storm 2 9550 with Verizon.Since the latest update (v5.0.0.607), my phone freezes constantly to the point where the phone is really unusable. I spend a lot of time looking at the mini clock spinning in the middle of the screen, while I try desperately to kill my phone.I did not have this problem at all before the update.

My dear boss has bought a Storm 2 and is having problems connecting to a wifi hotspot. The blackberry is standalone and have checked updates wifi locations / signals etc. The wifi network he tries to connect to is the captive login type, i.e. open browser window to type in password. After connecting to the wifi and clicking complete you should see : However, we only see prioritize wi-fi profiles.Can anyone help ? Have i missed something?

I was going to try and log on to the internet using my storm 9530 and i noticed that i don't have a "browser" icon in my menu applications, so i couldn't access the internet to surf or download anything.. can anyone help me on how i could get the browser icon? i don't remember ever deleting any applications on my phone

When checking voicemail, after the prompt to enter the passcode the first row of numbers are missing from one of my users new Storm2. When contacting the service provider (Verizon) the support person there said that she had swapped out a persons phone 4 times with the same result.

I downloaded an application through it and after that it asked me if i wanted to update my AppWorld. And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I deleted it n downloaded it again but still didn't show up.

I have a Storm 9530. I have 3G coverage in my area, but my network connection icon says 1XEV. I have a friend with a Storm 2 whose icon shows 3G. We have tried downloading the same web page at the same time and my download actually seemed a bit faster. Does anyone know why my icon does not show 3G?

Like a lot of people, the OS x.607 update caused some problems for me. Does anyone know how to get the Lock Icon back for the home screen? I know that you can physically hit the real button on the device, but I want the virtual lock icon. Anyone figure this out?

Just bought an unlocked blackberry storm. My service sim card is cincinnati bell. My sim card offers text, phone, email and internet. The phone works with texting and phone calls recieved and sent. I have no internet or email. Not even a browser icon can be found on the phone.

Anyone know why my email folder icon has dissappeared? The SMS/MMS and other MEssages one is still there, but for some reason the one specifically for my emails has vanished. Sent myself a "test" email from work to my personal email account and i can receive as it went into my "generic" messages folder.

I just recently got the bb bold 9000 but somehow its seems like almost every function I perform, the clock icon appears in the center and the phone goes all slow. I've got a 1gb memory card and I only used less than 50mb + my app memory I got a lot of free space. Can anyone advise me please?

My bb storm was crashing so i had to restore it to factory settings. and now when i am trying to set up my email it doesnt work!! When i go to email settings my email account is alreday there i just need to type in my password but when i do it, it says email account succesfully done But the problem is i cant see the icon on the menu before it was a email icon on the menu. How can i fix this?

I just got my phone yesteday and I started downloading apps. I woke up this morning and the App World icon is gone. I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 running v5.0.0.328.Email icon has dissapeared, but message counter rises into the hundreds or thousands, and getting several "uncaught exception" notifications when something doesn't open, which is frequent.Have tried battery pulls, cache emptying and resending service books. Nothing.Would wipe, but can't seem to back up Blackberry (desktop Manager gives me "Failed to connect to device" or "error backing up databases").

About 24 hours ago, a message icon appeared on my Storm after receiving a phone call. It still is there, right under the date, and it has a red asterisk on it. Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.
