When checking voicemail, after the prompt to enter the passcode the first row of numbers are missing from one of my users new Storm2. When contacting the service provider (Verizon) the support person there said that she had swapped out a persons phone 4 times with the same result.
View 7 RepliesNew user here. I am on my second Verizon Storm2 (in one month) with same issue. After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?
View 13 Replies View RelatedOk this is my situation. I have a blackberry curve from tmobile. My sister got a new phone so she gave me her blackberry storm 9350. I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
My bb storm 9500 keypad is not functioning everytime when i put my phone inside my jeans/any pants pocket.this has cause me a lot of trouble since the only place i can put and bring my bb everywhere do go is by placing it inside my pants pocket. everytime when i pull out my bb from my pants pocket the keypad is not functioning well.when i tried to press 'a' or any other letters it wont working since the keypad will automatically press other letters.

View 6 Replies View Relatedwhen I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to the new OS via desktop manager. Shortly afterwards i have noticed missing calls and messages. The vibrate alert works & the light flashes but no sounds. I have expeirienced a similar but different issue on the last update, where all ringtones and sounds were ereased from the phone, resolution was go back to previous update and re apply update.
After a number of battery out reboots i have unfortunately not had success in correcting the fault. I note that the keypad tones are also gone when attempting to make a call. I have tried playing audio files and have no sound unless i switch to speakerphone, have considered that perhaps the speaker has failed or the issue has disabled the main speaker, guessing the ringer would use this...the phone works fine i.e the speaker next to ear works o.k but no evidence of any audio from the one on the back. In my few hours of exploring and proding the device i have discovered that the mute button seems to not do anything...
Can anyone offer some guidance or suggest a solution. I have trawled the forum a bit and found similar but not same descriptions, have explored all suggestions but have come up short
For the past 4 or 5 days I am waking up to find my 4 E-Mail accounts wiped off my Storm. I add them again and by the nex day they are all gone again. I went to a Verzon Service center and they were at a loss as what to do. They suggested I go home and call a Verizon tech to walk me through a hard reset. I insisted on calling from the store which clearly irrritated the employees there. When I spoke to the tech at the 800 number she was incredulous that they wouldn't help me at the store. She asked to speak to the supervisor there. They had a short conversation and he hung up and said I need to do a hard reset but the store policy is not to do that.
So, I went home and calle dtech support again and did the hard reset and reset my 4 email accounts. This was last night. This morning 2 of my accounts were deleted from the phone and the other two, while there were non-functional. The E-Mail setup function was gone from my phone. I had to do a restore to get it back and reset my accounts again. I'm guessing my only recourse is to go back to a verizon store again and insist on yet another replacement? I'm really beginning to hate Verizon.
on a Samsung S6 -- holding down the 1 key - When voice mail ask for a password -there is no keypad . I tried the page button on the left bottom and get a small sized half a pad then upsize it -- then when I type in a number it inserts a dash after the third digit.. how do i get just a plain keypad to type in a password?

On my storm I had the ability to tie in with my yahoo mail account by adding a new email address - yet on the 2, the option to add a 3rd party mail program is no longer there - and only can use BB internet service for mail. Is there no way to add 3rd party mail now without using their forwarding service directly?

The blackberry is standalone and have checked updates wifi locations / signals etc. The wifi network he tries to connect to is the captive login type, i.e. open browser window to type in password. After connecting to the wifi and clicking complete you should see : However, we only see prioritize wi-fi profiles.Can anyone help ? Have i missed something?

Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new BlackBerry Storm 9530, running software release 5. The voice dialing is not working well at all. It seems to only recognize my Contact entries if I say them last name first. Besides the fact that I don't naturally think to talk this way, it's not always obvious how to say contacts that are not normal names, such as the name of a business.
The voice dialing on my old Storm (which I had to replace for other problems) allowed me to speak FN, LN, and recognized most names accurately, so I feel there must be some setting that I need to make.
Up until recently, I had an e-mail folder that contained only e-mail messages and had my username as the name of the folder. All of a sudden, it disappeared and my messages folder appeared in its place. Now all messages (including e-mail) show up. Before I had moved he messages folder to a different place because I didn't like it on the home screen and wanted to separate my messages and keep them in their respected folders instead of one conglomerated folder. What happened to my e-mail folder?? I looked in every section and folder to see if I accidentally moved somehow but its gone! Has this happened to anyone else? Was there some recent OS update with this new change?
If not, how do I get my e-mail folder back?
For several days my e-mail isn't automatically reconciling and it's also not reconciling when I try to force it by telling it to reconcile. I use Yahoo! e-mail and another e-mail account through Yahoo! Small business. both have reconciled since I bought the phone a year ago, until now.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a 4 day old BlackBerry Storm 9530 and so far I love it. But I have an issue with the voice dialing and am wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a fix.
When I activate voice commands everything works from the bluetooth, but about 50% of the time when I use voice commands to call someone, I will get to the point where the phone and I confirm the selection(name) to call and it will say(and show on the BlackBerry screen) for example: "Susan Home Calling..." And the blackberry will stay on that screen, not connecting to anyone if I press any key it will bring me right back to the "home" screen on the BB, no making any calls.
Also, I am noticing some dust specs under the top left corner of my touchscreen, I know its underneath the screen because I can tell, and I am very OCD about wiping off my screen and keeping my phone immaculately clean..
I am somewhat saddened by the fact that such a well known and highly respected device doesn't in fact have an 'airtight' screen, and lets dust underneath, especially after only four days, in a clean house and never even in a pocket..

At the same time Verizon dropped Yahoo as their e-mail server.I went into BIS and made the incoming and outgoing changes. It took and I resent a service book.I haven't been able to receive e-mail since. I can send e-mail but not receive.I've done a wipe and everything else I can think of. Any ideas?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought an unlocked storm2 free and clear - no contract (upgraded from Curve with no data plan). I have continuous wi-fi as my internet company provides me with unlimited wi-fi access wherever I go in the US so my plan is to access my e-mail thru wi-fi.
Is pop3 e-mail set up possible without BES, BIS or data plan? Is there a 3rd party e-mail apllication available for blackberry, much like for pc where you can configure a 3rd party software (i.e., ms outlook, ms express, etc.) for your e-mail.
Right now the only way I can check my e-mail is by logging into the internet via wi-fi and going to my internet provider's web site. That is a hassle though as I have to go thru several steps before I can actually check my e-mails.
Has anyone purchased the Jabra CRUISER and actually got it to work with Voice Commands on the Storm II 9550? I can answer calls but it will not respond to placing a voice command. I receive no "Say a command" prompt.
Any replies would be appreciated as I am on the second one and I do not think it's the Jabra now...The Jabra CRUISER does support Voice Dialing
How do I get rid of the 6,000,000,000 or so voicemail messages that reappear everytime I restart my phone ?
