Has anyone purchased the Jabra CRUISER and actually got it to work with Voice Commands on the Storm II 9550? I can answer calls but it will not respond to placing a voice command. I receive no "Say a command" prompt.
Any replies would be appreciated as I am on the second one and I do not think it's the Jabra now...The Jabra CRUISER does support Voice Dialing
I am having trouble trying to use the Voice Dialing feature on my phone.It used to work fine, but now any time I try to access the Voice Dialing, it goes to to the Voice Dialing screen, and it starts Initializing/syncing, but it just backs out back to the main screen.I've tried using convenience keys and the touch screen to access Voice Dialing.Nothing works.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new BlackBerry Storm 9530, running software release 5. The voice dialing is not working well at all. It seems to only recognize my Contact entries if I say them last name first. Besides the fact that I don't naturally think to talk this way, it's not always obvious how to say contacts that are not normal names, such as the name of a business.
The voice dialing on my old Storm (which I had to replace for other problems) allowed me to speak FN, LN, and recognized most names accurately, so I feel there must be some setting that I need to make.
I have a 4 day old BlackBerry Storm 9530 and so far I love it. But I have an issue with the voice dialing and am wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a fix.
When I activate voice commands everything works from the bluetooth, but about 50% of the time when I use voice commands to call someone, I will get to the point where the phone and I confirm the selection(name) to call and it will say(and show on the BlackBerry screen) for example: "Susan Home Calling..." And the blackberry will stay on that screen, not connecting to anyone if I press any key it will bring me right back to the "home" screen on the BB, no making any calls.
Also, I am noticing some dust specs under the top left corner of my touchscreen, I know its underneath the screen because I can tell, and I am very OCD about wiping off my screen and keeping my phone immaculately clean..
I am somewhat saddened by the fact that such a well known and highly respected device doesn't in fact have an 'airtight' screen, and lets dust underneath, especially after only four days, in a clean house and never even in a pocket..
I recently purchased a Jabra Cruiser and would like to know how to voice dial by just pushing the answer end call button on the jabra cruiser. What do I need to do "tag" the phone and the cruiser. I have an LG Dare phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNew user here. I am on my second Verizon Storm2 (in one month) with same issue. After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?
View 13 Replies View RelatedToday the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear.In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently moved from US to India and brought with me my favorite Storm 9530. In US I had Verizon as my carrier and I switched to Vodafone in India. Before I switched to Vodafone, there were 5 unread/unheard voice messages and hence my Storm was showing 5 o_o on home screen. After I switched to Vodafone, this count did not reset. I tried all over the web for a solution to remove this notification from my device, but did not find any workable solution.According to my understanding, I thought the count will automatically reset once I activate my Vodafone voicemail, but after I signed up, I realized that Vodafone India does not use "Device Notification" method for voicemails, but sends a SMS everytime you have a VM. With the result, the older count that has been set in my device never gets reset or reinitialized.Is there someone who can give me a solution to reset this? Is there a way/software that will let me access the internal data structures of the device and reset it. My carrier, Vodafone India has already informed me that they cannot help me with this.

View 7 Replies View RelatedOk this is my situation. I have a blackberry curve from tmobile. My sister got a new phone so she gave me her blackberry storm 9350. I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
I accidently accepted voice commands option in the music player and now the phone requires voice command every time I try to open application under settings-phone-voice commands. Can u help me how can I get voice commands off?

Does anybody know if this is a software limitation or a hardware limitation? If it's a software limitation, then I can always hope that a future version of the OS might give me this capability. But if it's a hardware limitation, then I guess there's no hope.

Just received my hs-700 headset in the mail, now the issue is whenever I try to say a command, it ends up calling 1 person. over and over and over and over again.It doesn't recognize any commends. I'm speaking 100% clear and coherent for it to understand me. It was working at first when I tried calling that one person. It asked me to confirm whether or not I wished to call home or his mobile, I chose mobile. Now anyone I try to call through the exact same voice command (hold button down 2 seconds to initialize voice sequence, then say call and person's name), it calls the same guy!
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use a voice command application such as Google's Voice Search or Vlingo the phones microphone is disabled. Both applications run an animation that lets you know that the phone is "hearing". I receive no indication that the mic is active. However, if I plug my (Non-Mic) headphones into the Triumphs jack the voice recognition comes alive. This lasts for one command though. If I try to voice a second command I again get no response. At this point pulling the headphones out of the jack again activates the voice application for one command.

It seems to dominate my bluetooth button and I can't find a way to disable it. It's the worst piece of software ever. I have 3,000+ contacts and it takes 45-60 seconds of waiting just to say a command that it invariably won't recognize when google voice actions takes a second to launch and works every time. Whenever I tap on Voice cmds there is a beep and a popup appears, saying "Voice commands cannot be used at the moment".I can see that Martin is present in the Phone Setup speech settings and that he is ready to speak in English (UK).

I recently added Bluetooth to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma by installing: a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, the handsfree steering wheel buttons, and a
PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.
When using the dock, lets just say for sat nav, when i get a text message through it comes up on screen saying "Say Listen to hear the message". When i say "listen" nothing happens, its the same for everything, any time the dock pops up a message saying "say this to answer or listen or whatever" nothing happens.
