Like a lot of people, the OS x.607 update caused some problems for me. Does anyone know how to get the Lock Icon back for the home screen? I know that you can physically hit the real button on the device, but I want the virtual lock icon. Anyone figure this out?

Since sometime in mid-April, I have intermittently had an issue with it locking me out and requesting "to unlock, enter ""blackberry"" to continue." I have entered the "blackberry" password but the phone does not respond to it. I have tried turning it off and also a battery pull.... only thing that clears it is hooking it to my laptop and opening the Blackberry software program. This is rather annoying and inconvenient.... don't want to carry around my laptop in case my phone doesn't work. I have not been successful in resolving this....

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I upgraded to OS 5.00.328 my storm's screen lock has not worked properly. When I try to unlock it, it will immediatly lock back up on its own and I have to unlock it 2-3 times before it will stay unlocked. I also have the same problem when trying to lock the screen, it unlocks itself 2-3 times before it will stay locked. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am referring to the method of tapping the power button on the top left to add and remove the lock.The power button still works to turn the phone on etc, but just wont lock the screen. As you can imagine this makes life very difficult with a touch screen phone.

And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

The phone works with texting and phone calls recieved and sent. I have no internet or email. Not even a browser icon can be found on the phone.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy storm fell out of my holster a week ago and scratched it around where the lock button and mute button are and the lock button is hard to press down to get it to lock i used to be able to hold it in one hand and lock it with just my finger. now i have to use my other hand and press real hard on it to get it to lock and sometimes it takes a few seconds to unlock and then sometimes it will unlock and then re lock right away and vise versa. im gonna get a new cover for the scratched area but has anyone fixed this before.

I've checked all the folders and I didn't accidentally move it. I've tried reinstalling it, but it still won't show up. I've rebooted the phone with QuickPull and nothing has changed.I'm also having the issue that some of the apps I emailed to my hotmail account won't click thru to the AppWorld either.Basically AppWorld is messed up, but reboots and reinstalls haven't worked.

Things work a lot smoother and faster, which is great, however I notice my Music icon has disappeared since then. And not just gone, but COMPLETELY gone! I have no desktop icon for music, nor is it located under my Media icon. Actually, it is not located anywhere under any folder in the entire device. I know that my music is still somewhere in there, however, as I can access them (begrudgingly) by doing the following: Media --> *Blackberry button* --> Explore --> Media Card --> Blackberry --> Music And there they are! So, my question is this: HOW do I get the shortcut to appear on my main page, as well as under the Media icon, again?

When I set any of these ringtones i download as my sms alert or phone call ringtone, it just uses the default ringtone. So I checked to see if I saved my ringtone settings. Sure enough I did. So I tried turning my phone off and back on, and my ringtone settings just get reset back to default. When I had my 2 gig microsd in it was doing the same thing, but after a couple days it was using the ringtones I set for it. I just put an 8 gig microsd in and there's no hope.

I installed my backup to reinstall my contacts but I now have no browser and the instructions of register now from the Advance options does not work!!! It stays blank. My phone is working with calls and text but no Internet? It was working fine prior to OS update. How do I get my Internet back and my Browser?
I see all these great post for those on At&T and Verizon, but no one is listing any info to those users that are not paying 100.00 + bucks a month! Im in California and am using Cricket paying only 45.00 per month with unlimited text, calls, and internet. I paid $75.00 for the BB 9530 and $30.00 to flash. I surely dont want to pay another 30.00 to re-flash the phone just to get the internet back that was working fine prior to OS upgrade.
I just did I reset on my phone and my app world icon went missing ?So I searched everywhere and couldnt find it, then went to the applications option and it said it was still there. So I deleted it and when my phone booted back up the icon was back, and then I re-installed it and the icon was gone again but it still shows its installed in my applications list ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout 24 hours ago, a message icon appeared on my Storm after receiving a phone call. It still is there, right under the date, and it has a red asterisk on it. Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.
