Anyone know why my email folder icon has dissappeared? The SMS/MMS and other MEssages one is still there, but for some reason the one specifically for my emails has vanished. Sent myself a "test" email from work to my personal email account and i can receive as it went into my "generic" messages folder.
View 6 RepliesI have a Blackberry Storm 9530 running v5.0.0.328.Email icon has dissapeared, but message counter rises into the hundreds or thousands, and getting several "uncaught exception" notifications when something doesn't open, which is frequent.Have tried battery pulls, cache emptying and resending service books. Nothing.Would wipe, but can't seem to back up Blackberry (desktop Manager gives me "Failed to connect to device" or "error backing up databases").

And I said yes it installed the new one and restarted the phone but now AppWorld Icon is gone! the program is installed I can see it installed in the Options but the icon is gone, so i cant use it. I deleted it n downloaded it again but still didn't show up.

They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. So I deleted it and when my phone booted back up the icon was back, and then I re-installed it and the icon was gone again but it still shows its installed in my applications list ?

I tried resending service books, restoring from 2 previous backups nothing... Anyone have any idea on how i can get it back? i use it for several things.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the icon sayin that i have an unopened email but when i looked there was nothing that i had not read yet.. i did a battery pull (my first instinct) and then clicked marked all open in the options menu and it is still there there is no red * next to the icon just the envelope with the number 1. i also checked my vmail and deleted all vmails and it is still there please help!

One uses an iPhone, the other is looking at a Droid.Is there a quick and easy way to access Exchange on our phones? Do we have to have a third party app?My wife, who is in no way tech-savvy, was able to easily sync with her work email, calendar, and contacts on her personal iPhone after a simple walk-through phone call with her IT department (They have since somehow disabled this function for non company issued phones. I think just to **** her off.)I would like to be able to send emails from my phone and have them show up on my server. Syncing the calendar and contacts would be an added bonus.Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Oh, and by the way, I AM the IT department.

However, I can only send emails to contacts with a saved email address or reply to emails that have come to my inbox. for example, I receive an email from a friend, I can reply just fine. If I type that email in the "To" field, the envelope icon to send the message is grayed out. I resent service books, per another thread, but to no avail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis never used to happen, but just started in maybe the past couple of weeks:-when I use gmail to send an email, the sent email it now appears on my device as a sent message(with a check mark).I like this because everynow and then I send myself an email as a reminder of something, except that those dont go through as "unread" to the device, just as "sent".Is there a way to turn off automatic retrieving of "sent mail", and turn on retrieving messages I send to myself as unread received mail?

Just got browser, etc. Trying to set up my bb email/set my yahoo email on my bb. I read the bb email basics writeup, said you have to do it on your bb browser to set it up first. Went to the at&t page, then it said to do the options-adv options-host routing table-register now. Did this several times, nothing happens, still can't get on the at&t email page.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract.My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.

I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!
Ok this is my situation. I have a blackberry curve from tmobile. My sister got a new phone so she gave me her blackberry storm 9350. I went to a cell phone shop around my area and they unlocked the storm so i can use it with my tmobile sim card. I put on the sim card and i thought everything was working perfect but then i found out that i have multiple problem.
The good: I can make calls, i can use the internet.
The bad: when i place a call my sister number appears in the other person phone (not my tmobile number), i cant call my voicemail, cant setup my email, cant receive calls and more problems i still havent discovered lol.
According to bbleaks, it sounds as though there insinuating that an OS leak for Storm 9500/9530 will be coming within the next week or so. If its true then sweet! Can't wait!

When i go to email settings my email account is alreday there i just need to type in my password but when i do it, it says email account succesfully done But the problem is i cant see the icon on the menu before it was a email icon on the menu. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
