Xperia Ray :: Boot It In Safe Mode?
Feb 3, 2012I've seen that on some other Xperia phones, you hold down the menu button as the phone boots, but the Ray doesn't have a hard menu button so.... I tried holding the home button, then the volume buttons, and neither worked. Is there a way to boot the Ray into safe mode?

I've not unlocked my phone, or done anything its a standard Z5 Compact, no bootloader unlocked, or custom kernal etc installed.

Jan 10, 2012I'm having lots of trouble with my Xperia x10 mini pro. It is somehow stuck in a reset loop, it starts in safe mode, is locked and won't allow me to press any buttons at all. Once it is turned on i have to remove the battery to turn it off. My warranty has run out for this phone now but I do like it and don't currently have the money to get a new one really.

Oct 24, 2011I am trying to unlock the boot loader of my Mini pro phone following the instructions given by Sony Ericsson on this page.
I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.

Apr 13, 2012I updated my Blackberry Torch 9800 to the latest Blackberry V6 Software last weekend. My phone died yesterday and much to my horror I find that I cannot use safe mode as when I hold the escape key down the phone reboots before it comes up. So I have no way of restoring the backup as the desktop software will not connect to the phone while it is rebooting.

Dec 29, 2014I am using Z3 Dual and yesterday I was with friends for a picninc and while using the video mode it was showing the message that the camera temperature is going high and will shut down automatically. My main concern is not that, I used the phone in water (maximum 30 -50 cm depth) for 2-3 times and after that my sim both card was not working ( was not showing the signal bars) and friends tried to call me and came switch off. Then I restarted the mobile then the sim card start working and  the mobile was on Safe Mode. I tried to restart the mobile many times and still the problem exixts. Then I tried one option which I found in the web, i pressed the power buttern and when the vibration comes I pressed the vlume up button. I tried this option for severeal times, but the mobile is still in Safe Mode.

Dec 13, 2010i have bought my x10 mini and i am update it from android 1.6 to android 2.1 by myself using sony PC companion. yes , i am able to install it in about 1 hour , i have notice that the battery consumption after the update is terrible, battery would not recover although the screen is turn off , battery temperature is about 34 deg celcius.I am then turn off all the data transfer , wifi , GPS, background process , kill all the running app application and measure the battery consumption rate !!! it give me 20 minute/percent of battery which is very not desired ! For "my" X10 mini SE 2.1 update ecleair got bug on CPU management, it run continously without going to sleep mode!

Aug 25, 2012I wanted to unlock bootloader, and I got stuck at the point where I need to use fastboot (adb works fine), initially I thought that I did something wrong - but I've done some research and found out that the problem is actually with the phone. You are probably thinking that I did indeed something wrong, but bear with me please - here is how I found out:When updating/restoring via PC companion or SEUS it doesn´t matter if I connect the phone with volume UP or DOWN, it works either way (obviously should work only with volume down - Flash mode). Also when I use The Flashtool it always says that the device is in flash mode, doesn´t matter if the LED shines blue or green.I also tried getting fastboot to work in Ubuntu (first time around I was using win7 x32) and while assigning UDEV rules I was using the lsusb command and I found out that it reports the same thing in Fastboot (connecting with volume UP) and in Flash mode (with volume DOWN) - it repported 0fce:adde in both cases (and 0fce:0166 in normal mode and 0fce:5166 in USB debug).There is simply no difference when connecting with volume UP or DOWN (except for the LED color) - in both cases it connects in Flash mode...

Since then it was continuously on boot loop and keeps on rebooting itself after the XPERIA logo.It got turned on once in afternoon after which i did a factory reset and it was working fine. In eve I tried to turn the Bluetooth on and it is around 4-5 hours my phone is still rebooting continuously.It is Android 4.0.4 and never rooted, minimum apps, all are from PlayStore only.
