I've seen other Android devices that will boot into SAFE MODE (ie - no 3rd party apps running). Can this be done with Photon?
Which of the many bootloader options (Press Volume Down while powering on device) would work for this purpose?
I wanted to test booting into safe mode so I followed the directions here. I did get the "safe mode" in the lower left hand corner of the screen. But soon after that it restarted by itself and started back up in normal mode. I tried that 3 time and the same thing happened.

I've tried 3 different methods, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I've not unlocked my phone, or done anything its a standard Z5 Compact, no bootloader unlocked, or custom kernal etc installed.
I got this Blackberry 9900 on Orange two weeks ago. I went to bed and it was fine- woke up and it was switched off. I figured the batt was dead but when tried to switch it on it would fully boot but show the home screen. I security wiped yesterday because of a problem with App world. Now it only works in safe mode.

It went up a lot after the last update but seems even longer now, is there anything I can do about this, 7 minutes seems excessive to me.
So i bought a motorola photon 4G from ebay 5 days ago and had it shipped here to New Zealand. I'm loving the phone but there are a few problems.
When i first switched on my phone (i got it today) it said contacting network, faor quite a while. I was patient and thought this was becuase it was the first time switching on this device. Then it said it couldn't activate the device (sprint). Fair point, because the network was not setup.
So after a while i was able to setup New Zealand's vodafone settings and got my 3G connection working and had data working too. I then swithced off the phone ad turned it back on again. This time it still could not connect to the network and now my settings don't work. Calls and txts work but my data doesn't... not anymore.
Also is there a way for me to get rid of sprint's activation process when i boot up the phone?
How do I remove the Safe Mode that is showing up on the bottom left side of my home screen?

View 15 Replies View RelatedAs I was talking on my Razr v3 yesterday, I experienced what I thought was just another typical of many AT&T dropped calls. However, upon further inspection, I noticed my phone had gone into boot loader mode for no apparent reason. It's done this on a couple of occasions. Once after it was accidentally dropped and another when I turned it off (then back on) because I was on a plane trip. I've been able to get it back to normal by just power cycling it until it booted.This time no such luck and the screen says the battery is 'too low to program' so if I wanted to attempt to flash it which is something I have NEVER done, I couldn't even do it due to the low battery. This is the only Razr I have and I don't know anyone that still uses one so I don't have one available to put my battery in to charge.Is this the only way to charge the battery? Is it not possible to charge it with the power off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI accidentally left my phone in my truck yesterday while taking the kids school clothes shopping for about an hour. When I returned, my phone was in "COOL DOWN MODE" (due to the extreme TX heat we are experiencing for the last couple of months). Once it cooled down it seemed to be returned to its once wonderful glory and working just fine.
I drove home (about 1.5 hour drive) and somewhere in that time frame the phone put itself in "SAFE MODE". I have since been unable to disable the "SAFE MODE". I have followed the suggested power off and reboot method and that has done nothing. I have powered off, removed battery and then powered on and that has also produced no positive results. I am looking for another option than FACTORY RESET.
so Im tryin to put some files on my phone i pull the notification bar down click the usb notification i hit usb mass storage and nothing happens i go back to it and its back on charge mode and i cant change it at all it wont do anything everytime i try media link, and portal will not work either please someone help i have some important stuff to put on the phone and im unable to do so...

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been using the Photon for months but can not seem to find the area that manages when the Photon goes into silent mode.I thought it was in the custom battery mode. I set it to Custom battery saver, set the Off-peak hours to start at 10pm and end at 5 am.My alarm goes off at 5:30 am but it never rings, even though I have it set in the alarm setting to do so.
I have noticed that the phone automatically changes to silent mode around 9pm and will not auto switch back until 8 or 9am. I get fustrated and set it to ring when I first use the phone in the morning.Is there some file that I need to edit to get my time window in? This is driving me a bit nuts, lol.
So I noticed in Chrome the virtual keyboard doesn't load in portrait mode. Also I noticed that the qwerty keyboard is unable to capitialize letters. also function button seems to be disabled making signing into anything in chrome virtually impossible.

View 3 Replies View Relatedive got a htc one m7 and a couple days ago i dropped it in water so i dried it out and left it. just turned it back on now and it goes straight to Hboot so i thought the -volume button must be stuck so i turned it off and back on again holding the +volume and it took me to my homescreen but in safe mood ive tried multiple ways of restarting the phone to cancel safe mode but nothing seems to work and the phone for me is practicaly useless without 3rd party apps..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Z3 Dual and yesterday I was with friends for a picninc and while using the video mode it was showing the message that the camera temperature is going high and will shut down automatically. My main concern is not that, I used the phone in water (maximum 30 -50 cm depth) for 2-3 times and after that my sim both card was not working ( was not showing the signal bars) and friends tried to call me and came switch off. Then I restarted the mobile then the sim card start working and the mobile was on Safe Mode. I tried to restart the mobile many times and still the problem exixts. Then I tried one option which I found in the web, i pressed the power buttern and when the vibration comes I pressed the vlume up button. I tried this option for severeal times, but the mobile is still in Safe Mode.
