Motorola Droid Razr M :: Remove That And Just Snip Off The Far Left Side?
Nov 3, 2012there is a small insert that removes from the dock in case you have a case on the D3. if you remove that and just snip off the far left side (top of M opposite side of headphone jack) it works great. when you clamp it down there is a slight wiggle since its smaller than D3 but not enough to bother anything and nothing if your not touching it.if you have one of these from the D3 and you try and place the M in it you will see immediately the little corner i am talking about when you try to put the M in the dock.

Nov 25, 2012I wanted to test booting into safe mode so I followed the directions here. I did get the "safe mode" in the lower left hand corner of the screen. But soon after that it restarted by itself and started back up in normal mode. I tried that 3 time and the same thing happened.

Mar 1, 2010Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

Nov 6, 2012I've got the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing stuttering on the home screen. Specifically, it happens when swiping to the Quick Settings and Manage Pages screens. After I swipe once to the screen, it seems to be smooth when going back and forth, it's just the initial showing of the screen when I notice it. Then going to different apps and then back to the home screen, I'll see it happen again. It's not a deal breaker, but it just makes the phone seem "slower" than it actually is. Also, the Circles widget seems to look choppy at some points as well, during the weather animation or when flipping the clock.

Dec 26, 2011Something real strange happens when I turn my phone off and on again or if it reboots for any reason.Three (all Android Market apps) of my shortcut icons on the home screen are replaced by a blue generic looking icon. They still work as shortcut though. The way to fix this is to delete them from the home screen and then set up a new shortcut: The app icon shows up as expected.......... until the next time I turn off my Razr. Annoying to say the least.

Mar 1, 2012Does anyone know, with stock apps only, is it possible to save a data file to to the homescreen for quick reference? At minimum, I would like a shortcut to the sepecific data file. Example; I use a simple Microsoft word calendar template to do scheduling for the month. I email the file to myself and save it to the messaging folder. Everytime I need to check who is working, etc....I have to go through the "My Files" shortcut, messaging, then the file I need. Would like to just save the data file or a direct link to it on my homescreen very similar to (gulp) windows.

Each night I set my phone into the standard dock (non-usb one), and the bedside mode comes up as it should and the screen dims after a minute or so as it should. It is usually around 10 to 15 minutes after I dock the phone that the problem occurs. What happens: The bedside alarm app is removed from the screen, revealing the home screen in landscape mode. My screen then times out (shuts off) as it should, because the bedside alarm clock is not the active window. My alarms work fine, but I can't see what time it is when I wake up before my alarm goes off unless I turn the screen on and look at the lock screen. I've tried factory resets, fxz file, removing all apps from recent apps list, resetting the alarm app data, nothing seems to.

Nov 29, 2012I was wanting to know if anyone had an issue with the home screen stopping. I have over 800 apps on my phone and wondered if maybe it was that with the app draw trying to refresh and it taking too long. When I did a search people were having this problem with only having 20 or less added apps to their phone. Some even had this problem after having their phone refreshed. I can run the phone for days and use it with no problem and nothing and then out of the blue there it goes. I click the app drawer and the searching circle goes around and round and then the home screen will close and go to the last app or web page I was on and it could be one from a few days ago. I erase all the previous history and when the home screen closes it just refreshes the home screen. The only thing I can do is reboot and wait about 10 or so minutes and its all good till the next time. The question I am wondering is what is causing this. I had someone comment on links or widgets on the homescreen might be causing it. I removed some and it does not happen as much

May 23, 2012RAZR Maxx My problem is about the 4 bottom icons/buttons/keys (Menu, Home, Back, Search) not lighting properly. When in a fairly dark room they always stay lit. Last night before sundown the icons were not lit. It was too dark to see them without being lit. It also depended on the position. I do not know if this was due to internal position sensors or just getting different levels of light from the light sensors. I called Verizon Tech Support and they said this was normal. It may be "normal" but hard to use the phone if I cannot see the icons/buttons/keys.

Apr 4, 2015I have bought my Z3 just 2 weeks ago and already having problems with it, actually had screen issue on 2nd day of purchase but it became alright after a restart and phone worked properly, now today I can see black lines running across left side of the screen after several restarts and PC companion repair, screen is working fine though it flickers from time to time also the left side touch isnt working! I feel some connector is loose inside my phone or might be some bigger problem? I'm not sure myself.
Its been only 2 weeks, such an expensive phone and i'm already experiencing problems also my phone has not been dropped or been subjected to water.
