I have a problem I cannot conect to 2 wifi spots that have the same ssid it tels me to replace the other one as my router at home and at work are the same I have to delete one which makes me enter the pasword all the time is there no way to change this Also app world doesn't work on my mobile why its a bb smartphone right so why can't I use it?

When i come to download App world it says "It doesnt have the right software" I do not have a service plan, Is this to blame? I live in the UK, Im on Orange. My software is up to date?

Please log in to continue. (Error Id: 30702)" I've logged in on my computer and it logs in there but not on the phone self I've tried everything.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have my home network set to "disable SSID Broadcast" which make my network name invisible when a device including my phone scans for wi-fi's; when I enable SSID Broadcast my phone can see the network name and it can connect to it when I input the network password...no problem so far, works perfectly! but when I disable again the SSID Broadcast then the phone gets disconnected. I try to connect to the network with SSID Broadcast disabled (the phone shows a wi-fi location with no name but stored which I assume it's mine) I type the SSID name and password but it won't connect again until the SSID Broadcast is enabled.
For security purposes I like to keep the SSID Broadcast disabled but then I can't connect my phone to the network. I have 2 desktops, 1 laptop, a Xbox and a Wii all connected wirelessly; I don't know why is not working with my phone.
My wireless does not broadcast its SSID - but it appears that the MOTOACTV will only allow you to connect to a WiFi that's broadcasting it.
Is it possible to manually add your WiFi when it does not broadcast the SSID?
I updated my app world yesterday and since it has rebooted my phone won't work it is stuck on the screen I can't use my trackpad or go to the menu but I have tried taking the battery out and it's still the same and it's been on charge all day but I only have a iPad 2 so can't plug my phone to the computer.

* resetting the BB by removing the battery
* try different security settings for the WiFi, including disabling security
blackberry 8520 wont connect to the wifi unless my mobile network is off.... it will only connect to app world but nothing else.... also my bbm isnt working at all with the wifi even though i sent away my phone to get fixed because this was the same problem but they gave me a brand new blackberryhave rang my provider vodafone 7 or 8 times useless didnt fix anything... do i need credit for bbm or should it be working on wifi?... also with my phone it wont let me set up my own email it only says about blackberry enterprise email

I found a FB that is for this option (at least that is what I understood), version, I think 1.5. But when I downloaded it, it said that my phone doesn't have this option... And under the "Default Browser Configuration, I can see T-mobile internet and Hotspot browser alone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night my Curve 8520 crashed on me while I was deleting some old applications and restarting. When trying to restart it was giving me an error. After a little research I found the steps to fix it by completely reinstalling the OS. After downloading the OS to my computer and getting it installed to the phone I found it was quite a bit different than the old OS, and I made sure to select the correct service provider. Anyways, needless to say, I lost all my apps and phone numbers, but the apps and email info were saved on my desktop software. I haven't been able to get the apps back onto the phone though and when trying to open App World on my phone it stays on the loading screen and goes no further. I have tried starting it over many times, pulled the battery and such but no luck.

I've looked everywhere and even used "show all". I've uninstalled and installed again, I tried to install from my blackberry instead of installing it from my computer and it doesn't appear. However, when I go to Options>advanced>applications it's there. What's wrong? I've been looking all around and I just don't get it.
