BB Curve :: Facebook Giving Error Unable To Find Server
Jun 1, 2012
Trying to access Facebok through the BB Facebook icon. It tries to connect but keeps returing the same error message about being unable to find server. I can connect to Facebok through the usual Yahoo, Google but not the Blackberry specific Icon. When I turn on my wireless device it will let me in through the Facebook Icon but not if wi-fi is switched off.
Can anyone help me with this error message, I am not able to check-in in the facebook application i have contacted my service provider and they say is an error message that needs to be reviewed with blackberry.
Im trying to log into facebook on my blackberry curve 8530. And keep telling me a connection cannot be established to the facebook server. Ive tried restarting the phone, taking the battery out and all.
I bought the Blackberry curve last week and have had pblms connecting to home wi fi. I have it all set up and the fone recognizes the wi fi on it and only let me connect once to the wi fi.After that it keeps coming up with the message - unable to find requested server - even though it did work once the first time after I had set up the wi fi wizard. I had put in the key.
I am able to connect to the wifi but whenever I try to load a page in the browser it says "unable to find the requested server" I'm using a blackberry curve 9300 os 6.
every time i try to browse the web at home on my curve 9300 with wifi i get the error message 'unable to find requested surver' if i turn wifi off then i can browse with no problems, i have a data plan and have tried the following:-
1, hard device re-boot 2, downgrade to previous software 3, reset my home router 4, turned off wifi, deleted my connection, re-boot then reconnect.
i have also checked trouble shooting and found that 'Blackberry infrastructure' has a connecting error. im starting to pull what little hair i have left from my head
I bought a new blackberry 9700 today, and i am trying to launch facebook but every time i do it comes up with an error message saying; "HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway" It first did this with the email app, but it is ok now though. Its just other apps like faceboo, myspace, twitter etc.
If I go to the internet icon, click on it and then type in a web address, I get an error "http error 503 service unavailable the server is currently unable to handle your request". But if I click on the bookmark for google and type in the web address I'm trying to get to, it will go there.
I installed Nokia Chat from Ovi store on my phone. When I start the chat, I am shown an option "Get the latest IM service" When I click this option, I see "Checking for new IM updates". It keeps checking for updates for a min or so then I get a message 'Error: Unable to complete request. Try Again" I have a proper wifi and so its not a connectivity issue. Previously I have used Nokia chat and I had all services(gtalk, yahoo etc) but recently I had to format the phone, so had to install chat again.
Tried to upload a picture from the phone to facebook with the facebook app and it´s always showing this error message:The facebook server found an unknown error while uploading picture (2010)? I tried:
- uninstall app and install again
- updated everything else from the phone
- battery out, sim card out and waited for 10 mins and restarted
My phone has a app error message "App error 523". I hit the reset button and it reboots, goes thru security settings, then it turns off and goes back to the error message.
I have tried doing everthing that has been posted. but i cannot connect to the internet using the wifi . I am connected to the wifi but i cannot access the internet through the browser or you tube. I have a data plan and a backberry data inclucded in my plan . I spoke to my service provider and had someone in india direct me to turn the wifi off as the soulution I live in an area with low service and require the wifi for fast browsing .
me and my wife bought the 9800 3 days ago we updated the software and pulled batterys and did the kb02830 send the service books for the blackberry internet service all with no luck. i can log onto my home network (linksys wrt54gs) with no problem but at work were there is public access (that everyone can use except mew/ cell and ipod) i get that message i did the ping test ,diagnostics and all come up good, sometimes ill get cnn and or Internet. why does this happen is there a fix ,is it in the programming ,the network what? we will be most likely taken ours back to get iphones.
I upgraded Facebook on my Tour, and now I can't log in to Facebook on my phone.
After the upgrade, I clicked my Facebook App and enter my email and password, and after clicking "login" I receive the message "We are unable to connect to the Facebook server at this time (0)".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the App, and taken out an replaced the battery but it still won't work.
Was trying to update my software for my blackberry curve 9360 and laptop died before completing it. Now when the phone reboots i keep getting this message 'App Error 200' and cannot do a thing.
My phone ran out of power and I charged it over night. The next morning when I went to turn it on, it had a white screen with small letters saying "app error 523, reset". It does nothing else. I have done some things suggested but nothing helps.Does any know what this problem is and how to fix it?
My phone keeps on giving me App Error 523 how do I fix this.I have taken the battery out etc and when ever it starts up it still gives me the above error

I've seen a few threads on this with older blackberries but not the torch. Ok, I can browse the internet all day with the torch with no problems, but whenever I turn WiFi on I get the "unable to find the requested server" error message.
My Bold 9000 screen shows "unable to find the requested server" 70% of the time when trying to load any particular internet webpage. WiFi is strong and connected. Doesn't matter which website it is. Very sporadic. Will load one minute, then when requesting a moment later will show above display. Very unreliable to a point of being useless. Have tried everything online and no resolution.

I get the "Unable to find the requested server" message when I try use the browser. The phone is logged into both a wireless home network and the mobile network so it should have access to the internet.
I've had my Torch for a few months now and I've never had any problems with it until recently where I can't get on to the internet. Every time I try to go on the internet a message saying 'Unable to find the requested server' comes up. Under my blackberry internet service and blackberry enterprise service is says wifi, but it won't connect through my wifi or normally.
So basically my Torch (6.6.0.600/223) won't do stuff over Wi-Fi while at home on my Netgear WGR614v7 (latest firmware), but works on the 3com wireless router at work.I know this is a common problem so please don't be assy about me posting but there's never a fix for this version of the OS.It say's that I'm connected on the drop down menu and in service status but when try to browse the internet is won't load, just says "Unable to find the requested server".So what the actual.
I got my 9900 in August and haven't had this problem before. I can connect to my WiFi -- it shows as connected, strong connection etc. But when I try to go to any site on my browser I get "Unable to find the requested server. This is on my home wifi. But my laptop and WiFi are still fine so it's only on my phone. However, I discovered I am able to connect to other wifis - just not the one at home. The problem originated right when I was downloading some software upgrades. I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was doing and I'm not even sure how I got into downloading these upgrades because I'd never done that before. Anyway, one of the downloads seemed to have got stuck mid-way through downloading.
My Blackberry has stopped performing it's synch. It gives me the error code 0x8004fcd2. I have tried to update my desktop software in case that was the problem, but it was already up to date.
