View 1 RepliesI got my 9900 in August and haven't had this problem before. I can connect to my WiFi -- it shows as connected, strong connection etc. But when I try to go to any site on my browser I get "Unable to find the requested server. This is on my home wifi. But my laptop and WiFi are still fine so it's only on my phone. However, I discovered I am able to connect to other wifis - just not the one at home. The problem originated right when I was downloading some software upgrades. I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was doing and I'm not even sure how I got into downloading these upgrades because I'd never done that before. Anyway, one of the downloads seemed to have got stuck mid-way through downloading.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Blackberry curve last week and have had pblms connecting to home wi fi. I have it all set up and the fone recognizes the wi fi on it and only let me connect once to the wi fi.After that it keeps coming up with the message - unable to find requested server - even though it did work once the first time after I had set up the wi fi wizard. I had put in the key.

Trying to access Facebok through the BB Facebook icon. It tries to connect but keeps returing the same error message about being unable to find server. I can connect to Facebok through the usual Yahoo, Google but not the Blackberry specific Icon. When I turn on my wireless device it will let me in through the Facebook Icon but not if wi-fi is switched off.

My Blackberry Curve 9360 is not deleting messages from the server meaning that, after returning home from a week working away, I've still got a few hundred messages to wade through on my PC. I receive e-mails on the PC via Outlook Express. I've clicked on 'tools', 'accounts' then 'advanced' to ensure that the box for 'leave a copy of the message on the server' is unchecked i.e. messages should be being deleted from the server when prompted to by the phone but this is not happening. Not sure what else to try or perhaps there was something I did / didn't do during the set-up of the phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9000 screen shows "unable to find the requested server" 70% of the time when trying to load any particular internet webpage. WiFi is strong and connected. Doesn't matter which website it is. Very sporadic. Will load one minute, then when requesting a moment later will show above display. Very unreliable to a point of being useless. Have tried everything online and no resolution.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've read around the forums and elsewhere but haven't found a solution yet Have an 8350i and with the Mobile network off (Nextel) I turn on wifi (both at home and at work) and it connects to the network, icon is white not gray Data service is on and was working before (had the phone for 9 months). I recently connected to desktop manager for the first time and updated all available programs, firmwares, etc, I'm assuming this is the root of the problem. Gmail and Facebook apps won't connect, (you need a working data connection bla bla) and same with Browser app.Any solution that doesn't involve downgrading, wiping clean? (I've pulled the battery, turned wifi on and off with no results)

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo my roommate thought it would be a good idea to try and connect itself. He ended up with some weird setting that made the wifi disconnect from the devices if they were dormant for more than 5 minutes. My phone went off line. I guess the setting was changed back because our other laptops connect and his iPhone connects but my unrooted HTC One on AT&T keeps giving that DNS error when I attempt to connect through Chrome or the stock browser. Nothing works...It says I am connected. It says I have an excellent signal but nothing will connect.
