Tried to upload a picture from the phone to facebook with the facebook app and itīs always showing this error message:The facebook server found an unknown error while uploading picture (2010)? I tried:
- uninstall app and install again
- updated everything else from the phone
- battery out, sim card out and waited for 10 mins and restarted
I am trying to upload pictures on facebook using Elm. It always says "connection error, turn off WiFi".

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn the last few weeks I've been having issues with MMS - I used to be able to send and recieve MMS fine, and it was instant, but now when I try and send an MMS it fails for no apparent reason. I thought it may have been because of picture size or phone capatbibility, but the sizes are fine and I've sent pictures to these people before so it can't be to do with their mobile. Also when I receive MMS it takes ages to download, and it used to be instant. I've checked all my settings with MMS and encryption and they all seem fine.
Also, recently when I upload photos to facebook they either don't upload or they don't show in my news feed. Is that a mobile thing, or a facebook thing? I've tried asking people at facebook about this and no replies as of yet. Again, checked all my settings, they seem fine.
I bought the xperia pro 4 days ago, and I love the qwerty keyboard! Unfortunately it won't recognize my SIMcard, but maybe that's because it's kinda old (3 yrs). So I will get a new sim. But now I can't get facebook to upload my photo's. After I have tried to upload a photo, it fails and I can't even reload my newsfeed. Same problem with twitter. After I restart my Pro, facebook works fine again, but as soon as I try to add a picture it fails. Browser works fine, and there's nothing wrong with the internetconnection (I use WIFI). I'm starting to think that maybe there's something wrong with this particular mobile. Or is this a common problem? Or Android problem? I can bring it back to the store (within 7 days), which I will if I don't get it to work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor ages I have had trouble uploading videos to facebook. It's driving me mad! All my Facebook notifications and location services are on. I am simply selecting the upload photo/video option, choose existing, it compresses the video gets to about 80% and then 'error uploading photos' appears in a grey banner. I have deleted fb app and reinstalled it, rebooted my phone, switched off and on and completely closed app and reopened it! I am using iPhone 4 with all the latest software

Blackberry Torch 9800 in use for 8 months I get the message `Built in media not accessible due to detected errors` and when selected repair, it deleted content from the external SD card. All podcasts, pics and video were removed, and half of the music. The camera will not work as it says there is no memory available. Telus said all updates were installed.

After that I turned it back on and went to upload the pictures again and I seen Iron Man 2 pictures there, so I went to my galley to check it out and they were there. Five pictures I think, I can't remember I deleted them, they were pretty small. Anyone else have this or an idea of what happened? They weren't on there before I turned my phone off?

I can connect to Facebok through the usual Yahoo, Google but not the Blackberry specific Icon. I have had no problems uploading photos to facebook until the last few weeks. I have uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it three times., My location services are on ect ect. I even bought iLoader which was suppose to work...and that hasn't! It gets to the very end of the upload and says it has failed, I haven't changed any settings anywhere so I am unsure why it's stopped letting me upload. The only thing it will let me do is post pictures on to other peoples walls, not my own albums.

I finally noticed today that for some reason, when I upload a photo to Facebook (regardless if I'm in my gallery and sharing the photo to Facebook or if I'm in the Facebook app and upload a photo from there) the comments I add when initially uploading the pic don't show up. I can select the photo, pick which album I want it to go into, tag my friends etc, but the comments do not show up when I check Facebook from either my phone or a computer.
My last phone was an S4 and this was never an issue. I did just notice that if I don't pick an album to add the photo to, the comments show up. If I pick an album, the comments do not show up.
I've been on numerous forums and I've asked the Facebook community and even tried tech support with Samsung, all to no avail.
So here's my issue:
- Photos taken with the Galaxy S5 are a brilliant 5312x2988px in resolution.
- Uploading pictures with the Facebook app on my S5 makes the 5312x2988px pictures 960x540px on facebook.
- Uploading pictures with my previous Android device with an 8 megapixel camera were uploaded as 2048x1154px, much higher than the S5.
I can't seem to find any settings anywhere that are causing my high definition pictures to upload at a much worse quality to facebook. I don't expect to get full resolution, but I expect to at least be able to achieve the same upload resolution that my previous phone was getting.
I'm at the point where I don't even want to upload photos to facebook anymore because the quality is so bad compared to the original photo I took.
I buyed sony ericsson xperia mini pro few months back. at that time i synced my contacts with facebook with facebook app. And i got all my friend's profile pictures as my contact pictures. But now when i changed my memory card i also formated my phone. I took backup of contacts on sim card. after installing new memory card i imported my contacts back to phone and synced facebook once again with my phone contacts. This time they got synced too but their facebook profile pics are not becoming my contact pictures. I also tried enabling facebook inside xperia but still it didn't worked. I want to get them done as quickly as possible.
