Feb 22, 2010Profile pics pop up from facebook friends in my address book when they call on my pearl 8120 but not my bold 9700. What am I doing wrong?

Mar 14, 2012My Friend's Facebook profile pictures not showing in my contact list. infact my whole contact list is not syncronized with facebook. i have checked all the settings on the facebook application and the check box next to "UPDATE EXISTING PHOTOS IN YOUR BLACKBERRY CONTACTS LIST WITH FACEBOOK FRIEND PROFILE PHOTOS" is ticked and all the options seems okay...

Jan 11, 2010My bold 9700 seems to be deleting contacts caller id photos randomly. Does it with some more often then others and seems to be ones that i've added myself rather then ones taken from facebook. Anyone else experienced this?i'm running 5.0.0.351 although i'm upgrading it now to see if it cures the issue.

Mar 26, 2010My sound profiles are all jumbled up-- I.e. I messed around too much. I want to know how to reset to Factory Sound Profiles. I have tried wiping all data and only restoring contacts and that doesn't seem to work. For instance, after a full security wipe, my Normal Profile will have my Emails silent, SMS normal, and BBM new messages as silent.

BB Bold 9700 :: Profile Alert Tones Changing By Themselves
Jan 27, 2010Whenever I change the sound profile, my custom alert tones for eBay and UberTwitter apps change to silent and to different sounds than those I chose.
I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.
A friend of mine is having the same issue. We both use the Bold with TMO's stock OS.
BB Bold 9700 :: No Ringtone Sound On Incoming Calls In Normal Profile / Speaker Shot?
Jul 19, 2010I have a 9700 that I got back in December, and I have a problem.Just today, my 9700 started exhibiting a strange problem whereby it will not produce ANY sound at all for not only incoming calls, texts, e-mails, etc. but also it won't play any sound if a play an mp3.I've done numerous OS reloads, tried different versions of OS, but nothing.
What I have found, though, is that if I push in on the screen slightly, it will produce sound. Why is this? Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
BB Bold 9700 :: Bold 9700 - Outlook Calendar And Contacts - Not Let Select Yes On Wireless Connection
Jan 13, 2010I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.

May 22, 2010I can take a picture and then send it right away(FB) - but if I save the picture I cannot find where the option is to send it. I can see all the pictures but I cannot open them from the thumbnail. I have a Bold 9700 ATT with a data plan on BES.

Sep 3, 2010I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

Jan 1, 2010So on New Years Eve I had my pone turned off from 10pm - 1am. Upon turning it back on I found that all the pictures I had taken in the previous 2 weeks were deleted, all but one picture that is. Now, a few days ago my phone wouldn't show pictres in the media tab at all, so I took out the battery and replaced it and pictures showed up. Apr 16, 2010I am based in the UK and I am having problems setting up email on my blackberry bold 9700.I have 2 email accounts, both of which come up with 'username and/or password invalid'. My first and main account is with hotmail.co.uk, my second account is with googlemail.com.It might be important to note that my password for both is the same, but I dont see this as an issue as it consits of only letters and numbers.Also, my girlfriend input her hotmail.com account and it worked fine. So why does it work for her and not me?! I have tried to get a hotmail.com account but for some reason only hotmail.co.uk and live.co.uk are the only options for new email accounts here.This problem is also reflected in the Facebook application, whereas my girlfriend input her facebook username (which is her hotmail.com address) and it worked. When I input my Facebook username (my hotmail.co.uk address) it says that this is invalid!It is sooo frustrating and as a new blackberry user I feel a bit out of my depth

I have NEVER been able to use the Facebook App. I had downloaded the v1.7 from App world and it never worked giving me the message: "Could not connect because a data service is not available. I deleted it and tried downloading from the link sent from this website for v1.6 and received this message:
"Notice Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook." I must state that this is not the only problem I am having, it now seems that Bluetooth doesn't work either.

May 9, 2010Blackberry Bold and have totally enjoyed every minute of using it EXCEPT every time I get a comment on Facebook, I get a notification sound. This can be really annoying in the middle of the night! How do I turn off the sound for this? I am not getting a good nights sleep unless I turn off the phone - which is not an option.
