I am not getting notifications from incoming text messages. I have to open the stock texting app, and I will immediately see the unread messages, and at that time I get the 'Droid' sound and the text icon appears in the notification bar. I am running a totally stock X2 with 2.3.3. I have no other text app installed other than the stock app, and I would rather keep it that way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got an early release on the Fitbit Surge. Its awesome so far except my smartphone, a Motorola Droid Turbo, will not currently sync notifications for text and phone calls. I've emailed them asking about the problem. They say it is because "the Fitbit app is not currently supported by the Motorola Droid Turbo." The smart phone compatible list on their website does not show my phone, however the app works just fine and even syncs everything else the surge has to offer. Fitbit says they are working closely with smart phone manufactures to work out the Bluetooth 4.0 problems. The only instance that the I have any trouble is when I check the text and call notifications box in the Fitbit app for my surge.

It has done this a bunch of times now...It seems like everything else wors when I use it. It just keeps locking up when I am texting.

When texting or filling out forms on browser, whenever I use the "alt" key (as in alt+A for an '!'), or a (.) key (the period key) or some others... the keyboard freezes and the browser or text messaging is put into a "Force Close" or "Wait" situation. Also, the battery gets really hot - to the touch - when this occurs.

On Iphone, you can switch that option on or off, I prefer to have it on, that way it shows me who's texting and what the text is about without having to actually open the text. A LOT of people unrelated to each other have told me they have called me and text me numerous times yet i receive nothing. wow, after the fifth call you answer the phone and you never responded to my text comments are getting pretty annoying. i hope that with a clean slate i have a better experience with ICS. it's amazing how ICS was released in November of last year and after 7 months of production Motorola screws things up.

Occasionally, when I receive a text message, it displays the sender's correct phone number but the name displayed is that of a different contact. Even when I'm having a back-and-forth text conversation, one of the incoming texts will suddenly appear with someone else's name.

Another example, let's say that you have your Google Calendar sending you text reminders for events/meetings, etc. Even thought I deleted the first notice I still receive that exact same notice for something that happened two to five hours ago.

The only way that I know there is an image text is if I happen to open my text screen to send a text. Then I have to automatically download the image, and then it notifies me that there is a text. For some reason lately, I can't to get an attachment to go through (video or picture) for any of the text programs on the bionic. It runs, and runs, and runs (and uses up battery power) but it never seems to go through most of the time. At other times, it goes through (video) with no problems.

I think it should happen in the opposite order.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI use Moto Assist at home, so I can answer calls/texts with my voice and am notified by voice. When I get an incoming text now, I am asked if I would like to listen to the message, like always. Then it chimes like it's supposed to, indicating that it's my turn to say a command, but now, it just keeps chiming, and chiming, and it doesn't stop, never allowing me to say anything. The only way to stop it is to close the program.
When I receive an incoming call, I guess the usual, "Call from {name}, say Answer or Ignore". That works perfectly fine. But if I MISS the call, and it asks if I would like to send a text message to the caller, I run into the same issue as above.
I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the Assist updates. But I can't get it to function like it used to.
Problem I posted before, but figured this last update would fix. Phone will still not send group texts or texts longer than 160. Phone is stock Maxx.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the past week, my D4 has been putting incorrect time stamps on incoming text messages when using certain non-stock text messaging apps. All received texts (regardless of sender) are stamped 4 hours earlier than when they were actually sent. Makes threaded messaging a real pain.
Stock text message app is fine, as is Handcent. The problem seems to be isolated to GO SMS Pro (my preferred SMS app) and ICS Messaging (stock ICS-like). I have uninstalled both and reinstalled with no change.
