Has anybody else noticed that the Razr Maxx wont separate the texts into multiple texts if you go over 160? I didnt notice it until I did it the other night, and got a sending error. I could have sworn in the past there was an option for this.

I keep receiving multip copies of texts. For example let's say a friend texts me. I receive that same text multiple times throughout the day, even thought I deleted it. Another example, let's say that you have your Google Calendar sending you text reminders for events/meetings, etc. Even thought I deleted the first notice I still receive that exact same notice for something that happened two to five hours ago.

On Iphone, you can switch that option on or off, I prefer to have it on, that way it shows me who's texting and what the text is about without having to actually open the text. Is there a setting or an app that does that?

A LOT of people unrelated to each other have told me they have called me and text me numerous times yet i receive nothing. wow, after the fifth call you answer the phone and you never responded to my text comments are getting pretty annoying. i hope that with a clean slate i have a better experience with ICS. it's amazing how ICS was released in November of last year and after 7 months of production Motorola screws things up.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs text messaging. If I try to send an outgoing text at the same time that one is incoming it will not send the outgoing message. It will struggle for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (or even more) and eventually time out with a 'text was not sent' error message. For someone like me who sends thousands of texts a month it's the most annoying thing ever! Other phones do not have this problem.
Also the time stamp for texts does not work if the phone is powered off. For example: I turn my phone off at midnight and someone sends me a text at 1:00 AM. I turn my phone back on at 8AM. The text arrives but does not have the correct time stamp as being sent at 1:00 AM. It will be shown as 8AM. So I have no idea what time the message was actually sent. Once again other phones I have used did not have this problem.

I have to open the stock texting app, and I will immediately see the unread messages, and at that time I get the 'Droid' sound and the text icon appears in the notification bar. I am running a totally stock X2 with 2.3.3. I have no other text app installed other than the stock app, and I would rather keep it that way.

When texting or filling out forms on browser, whenever I use the "alt" key (as in alt+A for an '!'), or a (.) key (the period key) or some others... the keyboard freezes and the browser or text messaging is put into a "Force Close" or "Wait" situation. Also, the battery gets really hot - to the touch - when this occurs.

Occasionally, when I receive a text message, it displays the sender's correct phone number but the name displayed is that of a different contact. The only way that I know there is an image text is if I happen to open my text screen to send a text. Then I have to automatically download the image, and then it notifies me that there is a text. For some reason lately, I can't to get an attachment to go through (video or picture) for any of the text programs on the bionic. View 24 Replies View RelatedI use Moto Assist at home, so I can answer calls/texts with my voice and am notified by voice. When I get an incoming text now, I am asked if I would like to listen to the message, like always. Then it chimes like it's supposed to, indicating that it's my turn to say a command, but now, it just keeps chiming, and chiming, and it doesn't stop, never allowing me to say anything. The only way to stop it is to close the program.
When I receive an incoming call, I guess the usual, "Call from {name}, say Answer or Ignore". That works perfectly fine. But if I MISS the call, and it asks if I would like to send a text message to the caller, I run into the same issue as above.
I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the Assist updates. But I can't get it to function like it used to.
