May 24, 2012HELP: My 4S keeps downloading and then re-downloading e-mail messages after they are deleted from the phone. My company uses Godaddy.com as their e-mail server. It is a POP3 account.
In Outlook 2010, I keep the message on the server for 9 days in case I am out of town and can't acces my computer in the office. But I am unsure why the e-mail messages keep getting re-downloaded after they have been downloaded on the iPhone.
If I set the iPhone to delete the message after downloading, will my GoDaddy server delete the message? Or will that change only control how many times the phone downloads the message? My BB never had an issue like this and this is the only frustration so far with the iPhone. I suppose i can always delete the e-mails on the server twice a week, but it's just one more thing to do.

Apr 23, 2012When sending sms on my Sprint 4s it sometimes sends multiple messages when I use less than 160 characters, by splitting them up. Sometimes the second text is just one word. This happens when I send messages to people on both Sprint and other carriers. When sending the message my 4s makes the sound of sending more than one message as if I had typed over the 160 character limit. How can I stop this??

Dec 30, 2013My HTC One is only about 8 months old and just recently the battery needs to be charged multiple times per day. I set it so the % shows and if seems to be losing about 1% every minute or few minutes while in use. I close all apps when I'm finished, and I'm usually only messaging. My battery usage information shows some apps using about 1% of the battery while the android system itself is using 93% of the battery. I have enabled power saver and also turned off everything except mobile data. I also applied some tips I read about to preserve battery life. Nothing seems to work. Is this a common issue with the 4.3 update or should I be taking my phone in to my provider and asking them to fix it (since it is still under warranty)....

May 7, 2012I have an iPhone 4S and am having problems with the text messaging. Whenever I text someone who does not have an iPhone the message will send in two separate messages.. even if the length of the message is under the 160 character limit. The message will send everything except the last word, then send the last word in another separate message. For example, if i sent something like, "hello how was your day today? mine was great thank you for asking".. it would send, "hello how was your day today? mine was great thank you for" in one message then send another message with just the word "asking". I've gone to the Apple Store & they were NO help & said it was a network problem. I then went to the Sprint store & they said it was not a network problem either. I reset the phone numerous times, then eventually Sprint ordered me a new one which is STILL having the same problem.

Apr 5, 2012I have a Torch 9800. This device freezes up multiple times per day. I've had it for 1 1/2 years now, and has done this since about 6 months in. Used to happen only occasionally, then more often. When I upgraded the software it seemed to stop for awhile, then started again, and is now not only annoying, but is preventing me from doing my work. It has frozen up already 4 times in a 5 hour time period. When this happens, I cannot do anything, access emails, make calls, etc. I can receive calls, but cannot disconnect once the call is complete. The freeze goes on for between 5 and 10 minutes at a time. Sometimes (but not always) once its done, an error message comes on screen that says: "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(1637) is not responding, process terminated. " The number (1637) is always different. I do not use BBM, and have tried to see if I can delete it from my phone, but it doesn't seem that I can. I am up to date on all software.

May 9, 2012In the past two days I've missed multiple incoming text messges and at least two outgoing texts were not delivered. I'm on AT&T with an iPhone 4S. The three other phones are not AT&T, but one is also an iPhone 4S. The missed incoming texts was from the iPhone 4S was sent as an iMessage with the blue bubble & "delivered" underneath. I restarted my phone three days ago & again this morning. I have sent and received other texts and calls during the timeframe. Is this a network or iPhone issue?

Sep 9, 2011Since my N8-00 has been upgraded to Symbian Anna, a single SMS message is billed multiple times.Now and then a simple SMS (within the constraints of a single SMS, without any special letters) shows up on my bill as if it was send 2 (sometimes even 3) times. Each time there is a delay of exactly 3 seconds between them.It seems as if the communication between the phone and the SIM card or the cell tower causes the phone to attempt sending the SMS multiple times, while actually each time it tries, the attempt is marked as sent and consecutively shows up on the bill.Because this problem has only been occuring since the upgrade to Symbian Anna, I suspect a software bug to be the problem.The receiver phone gets only 1 SMS as he/she is supposed to.
