Motorola Atrix 4G :: Having Visual Voice-mail On It?
May 8, 2011Has anyone found a good third party app that will allow you to have visual voicemail on the Atrix? I had it on my old HTC Android and I really miss it. I tried one third party app but it required me to forward all calls to voicemail (no opportunity to answer any incoming calls)

All I want is simple specific audio alert and obvious visual notification when the phone wakes up, a feature I had on most of my previous basic cell phones.

Dec 1, 2014I have the iPhone 5c and am on IOS 8.1.1. When I get a voice mail, the voice mail icon no longer lights up. This has been since I updated to the latest version of IOS. I have to turn the phone off. When I turn the phone back on, the voice mail icon lights up. Is there a way to correct this?

Jul 24, 2011Today, my phone and my husband's (same phone: Droid X) activated voicemail on it's own, or else Verizon did it for us. Problem is, neither of us WANT voicemail on our phones! How can we deactivate, while still keeping the option of voicemail later? I thought about just forcing a stop on the voicemail, but am worried that it will mean we won't have the option of voicemail in the future, should we require it.

I have tried voice id caller and smsreader and neither works.
Voice id caller at least sounds a prefix you can customize, but not the actual name of the caller. I wonder if it depends on a specific ringtone. My ringtone is a minute long.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Voice Input Won't Respond
Mar 5, 2012A few times now my Atrix has become completely unresponsive to voice input.
The voice input dialog pops up, but nothing that's said is heard and the input mode just reacts as if it just got silence.
I may have had the phone connected to my bluetooth speaker phone in the car at some point (or a headset), but I'm not 100% sure.

People that I've called seem to think it's acceptable now (haven't been asked to repeat myself), but if asked to choose, they do still believe that the "off" setting provides a better sounding voice, i.e. less muffled.

Jun 13, 2011had my Atrix for 4 days and love it (after returning an iPhone 4 after 3 weeks). I've also spent 4 days trying to figure out why I can't get my properly paired Atrix and handsfree speakerphone to voice dial at the touch of a button on the visor. Motorola's website of Atrix accessories says that it should work. I've tried several models and brands, and none worked properly. Today I found the solution! The Atrix won't voice dial if the phone is sleeping/locked.Once you enter your passcode or fingerprint, it works flawlessly.

Mar 17, 2012I've used exclusively Google Voice for voicemails, and not the VZW service, for over 6 months. I figure all VZW voicemails are cleared out by now. But still, the little "tape" icon is displayed in the notification banner. When I enter the voicemail app, I see that I do have one voicemail. Also, the green LED blinks incessantly sometimes (but sometimes not??). I think the voicemail notification and LED blinking are related.Is there any way to disable notifications for the VZW voicemail, both the notification icon and/or the LED blinking? The Menu button has no effect in the voicemail app, and I don't see any applicable setting in the phone's Settings menu.Or, is there some way to clear/empty/disable my VZW voice mailbox without deactivating Google voicemail for my phone?

One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."

But the caller was able to hear properly without any issues.However, When I try to call any customer care phones, I am able to hear the automated voice too.It does not to make sense to me why I am not able to hear the callers' voice (only if it is humans).

PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.

Jul 21, 2011New to the forum. I've had an Atrix since April and love it. Looking forward to the 2.3.4 upgrade. I'm having an issue when connected via bluetooth to my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I frequently get a "Voice Command Application has stopped unexpectedly" error. I then have to force close. Typically it's impossible to make or receive calls while connected. Other times everything works fine.I never had this error when I was connected via bluetooth to my previous car.

Oct 26, 2011Because of a number of unpleasant changes in behavior in my Atrix over the past few weeks, I decided to perform another factory reset, clearing all internal storage and starting from scratch - this is the 6th one of these I have performed since the GB update. For whatever reason, after this reset the e-mail "postage stamp" icon that had mysteriously turned gray after the GB update and remained gray in the subsequent 5 resets has turned back to red. I didn't change my Motoblur account, use a different e-mail account, or do anything consciously different. This behavior reminds me of how much more difficult it is to engineer software than virtually any other manufacturing discipline. It is impossible to test every combination of conditions through which a piece of software must behave correctly (or at least not catastrophically). I am curious to see what other behaviors may improve or decline after this reset.

Oct 20, 2011Just recently my voice-dial over my bluetooth stopped working - when I hit the button on my headset, all it does it redial the last number I had dialed. I'm not aware of any phone updates since it last worked. I've powered the phone off and on and still no luck. It was bad enough when I had to "wake it up" in order to use it. This is very frustrating - when I'm driving, I'm on the highway. I'm not stopping regularly for traffic lights so I can dial!
