I have several e mail accounts on this phone and would like to know if there is any way / apps / ?? to set different sound notifications? Easy on a Blackberry but cannot find a way on this Atrix 2.

One is a GMail account configured in the "GMail" App. The other is a Time Warner Road Runner account configured in the "EMail" App.The GMail account works fine. I can send and receive e-mail over 3G/4G and WiFi.However, the Road Runner account will not send e-mail when connected via 3G/4G. I can receive e-mailjust fine and I can send and receive just fine when connected via WiFi.When I try to send an e-mail over 3G/4G, I get a notification that says "Road Runner message not sent. Tap to view message."

View 11 Replies View RelatedBecause of a number of unpleasant changes in behavior in my Atrix over the past few weeks, I decided to perform another factory reset, clearing all internal storage and starting from scratch - this is the 6th one of these I have performed since the GB update. For whatever reason, after this reset the e-mail "postage stamp" icon that had mysteriously turned gray after the GB update and remained gray in the subsequent 5 resets has turned back to red. I didn't change my Motoblur account, use a different e-mail account, or do anything consciously different. This behavior reminds me of how much more difficult it is to engineer software than virtually any other manufacturing discipline. It is impossible to test every combination of conditions through which a piece of software must behave correctly (or at least not catastrophically). I am curious to see what other behaviors may improve or decline after this reset.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4, and I'm a bit annoyed with the level of control I have over the different alerts.I want to be able to separately control sound and vibrate for each type of alert (ringtone, email, SMS, ect.)Right now, it seems that if I have ringtone volume enabled, enabling alerts for new mail enables both sound and vibrate, and there is no choice to have new mail alerts as vibrate only without silencing the ringtone as well.
I like to hear incoming calls, although I get a lot of mail so it gets annoying hearing the new mail alert every 15 minutes.It would also be nice to change the vibrate patterns and alert tones for all of the different alerts, and to create profiles for quick changing
Is there a way to change/improve the notification of voice mail. Compared to all my previous phones, the notification system is awful. All I want is simple specific audio alert and obvious visual notification when the phone wakes up, a feature I had on most of my previous basic cell phones.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had problems with my phone and had to restore it using a full handheld wipe. I reloaded ny data and all is well except that I cannot get my phone to give me a tone or a vibrate when I receive an email. I have the out of holster and the in holster settings set to vibrate+tone, high, 3 but it still will not give me any audio or vibrate alert just mail icon pops up so I can only tell if I look at the phone if I have new email.

If I have emails come in while the music is playing, it lowers the sound of hte music and plays the alert notice. I would like this alert to be automatically disabled while playing music.

Is there a way to keep the voice mail messages from appearing in both text message and message locations? The blackberry keeps duplicating messages in the message folder as well as the text message location, which means listening to the message, then deleting the message from voice mail. Then deleting the message alert from the message location as well as the text message location.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am new to Blackberry and I have some questions about my 9700. I have tried looking to see if this has been posted but I didn’t see anything. I recently installed the .602 OS and did the battery pull and all that hoping it would fix the problem but it hasn’t. The problem is when I miss a phone call and receive a voice mail. I do have the visual voice mail set up and to my knowledge that works fine. The visual voice mail alert popup shows up first and when I go to play the VM, it starts playing and then the missed call alert popup shows up on top of VM. I can either open the missed call to view it or dismiss it. If I open it, I can’t do anything to the VW since it is still going or not going anymore in background and if I dismiss the missed call, I have to go back a view the missed call in the call log to get the icon to go away. Also, once everything is done, my SMS & MMS folder opens up for no reason that I am aware of. Is this normal for everyone’s phone? If not, do I have a setting wrong that I am not aware of? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to just use the side volume control and turn it all down and it would mute the ringer but allow notifications for texts and emails. That, suddenly has gone. I have tried everything I can think of to do. Setting priorities does nothing. The moment that the ringer turns off, the vibration icon grays out. I get it back if I turn the ringer to its lowest setting but I do not want that. At work, having just the vibration running for calls and texts was perfect.

Secondly, when I send texts, sometimes I get no alerts showing the person responded. Example: no sound, or flashing green light. It drives me nuts because I will text someone and await their response.. only to check my phone and see they responded an hour ago but I had gotten no alerts.

Example: Today I had a fedex confirmation from 10:30 come through at 3, for which I had already read two emails newer. The fedex email was not at the top of the stack, it was unread in the third slot.
