When the Droid X is in low power mode (screen black after timeout), the phone won't respond to the voice command button on my Motorola Bluetooth headset. It usually says "Please wait. Say voice command".If I touch the power or home button, the screen comes back on and the phone immediately sends the voice prompt.I'm running Gingerbread and using a Motorola bluetooth earphone.
I've noticed that the voice input feature for text messaging (which I REALLY like!) sometimes appears to disable or something, all on its own, and when you attempt to utilize it again, it won't engage. Is there a toggle switch for this somewhere?
Since updating to the Gingerbread release, I cannot work out how to respond to meeting requests in the calendar. I'm sure it's just something I'm missing but I can't see how to do it.How do I respond to the requests?
phone has been fine while plugged in, until about 2 minutes ago. plugged it in, tried to pull the notification bar down to switch to mass storage mode and the screen would not respond. took a couple swipes, and it eventually worked after a few tries.it's also doing it in my car dock now too.has been fine, nothing has changed, just started doing it out of the blue.
When I connect my phone to a wall charger (provided my Motorola), the touch screen responds rarely (slowly). As soon you disconnect the charger it works fine. I had talked to Motorola specialist over the phone and she provided me with a new charger. However, the problem still persists.
Yesterday, I used a Blackberry charger (with very close voltage and current output) and the phone worked fine.
I had over half a charge after sending a text message yesterday around 3pm. I looked at the phone at 4:30 and the screen was black and the device doesn't respond. I removed the battery and put it back to no avail. If I plug it in, the green light comes on - the Motorola splash screen displays - then a battery meter displays.
A spot on the bottom right side of the screen doesnt respond to my touch (the exact spot is the right " : " on the screen selecter pop-up). It doesnt matter what oriantation the phone is in or screen is being displayed.
Ive done a battery reset and Factory reset, short of a return
Whenever I try to use voice input with any application installed, the feature does not work with my phone, I get a box, displaying connection problemak againI have enabled the voice input, in the settings of NeoV. Though I did not see this working.
How to get voice input on the LG G3 keyboard? I have added it in the menu and activated everything but the handwriting pencil appears instead. Even after a long press on the "wheel", no voice key appears...
Does someone know of a program that can speak the name of the caller just like every nokia does?
I have tried voice id caller and smsreader and neither works.
Voice id caller at least sounds a prefix you can customize, but not the actual name of the caller. I wonder if it depends on a specific ringtone. My ringtone is a minute long.
I will have a trip to Asia, but still would like to use my Atrix with wifi only when I was on my trip, so that I will not be charged the romaining service for either voice or data. I know I can disable my data service from the setup option, but no idea how to disable the voice service temporally?
what's the verdict on the voice quality with noise suppression set back to "normal"? People that I've called seem to think it's acceptable now (haven't been asked to repeat myself), but if asked to choose, they do still believe that the "off" setting provides a better sounding voice, i.e. less muffled.
Has anyone found a good third party app that will allow you to have visual voicemail on the Atrix? I had it on my old HTC Android and I really miss it. I tried one third party app but it required me to forward all calls to voicemail (no opportunity to answer any incoming calls)
had my Atrix for 4 days and love it (after returning an iPhone 4 after 3 weeks). I've also spent 4 days trying to figure out why I can't get my properly paired Atrix and handsfree speakerphone to voice dial at the touch of a button on the visor. Motorola's website of Atrix accessories says that it should work. I've tried several models and brands, and none worked properly. Today I found the solution! The Atrix won't voice dial if the phone is sleeping/locked.Once you enter your passcode or fingerprint, it works flawlessly.
When I am talking using voice input I keep getting cut off after a few words. I have to keep repeating myself picking up where it cuts out. Not useable like this. It happens no matter which application I am in and no matter which keyboard I have active. This never happens on the Note3.
My bluetooth keeps disengaging especially after transferring between a phone call and listening to music. Voice activated dialing takes forever to boot up on my Atrix.
Mine is a all new Motorola Atrix 4G. Its since 2 months i had purchased.Since two days it started to give issues while talking calls. I am not able to hear the voice of caller. But the caller was able to hear properly without any issues. However, When I try to call any customer care phones, I am able to hear the automated voice too.It does not to make sense to me why I am not able to hear the callers' voice (only if it is humans).
I recently added Bluetooth to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma by installing: a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, the handsfree steering wheel buttons, and a
PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.
Is it possible change the voice recognition engine on the swype keyboard from Vlingo to google? For some reason it is not working after I updated my Vlingo to the latest version.
New to the forum. I've had an Atrix since April and love it. Looking forward to the 2.3.4 upgrade. I'm having an issue when connected via bluetooth to my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I frequently get a "Voice Command Application has stopped unexpectedly" error. I then have to force close. Typically it's impossible to make or receive calls while connected. Other times everything works fine.I never had this error when I was connected via bluetooth to my previous car.
Is there a way to change/improve the notification of voice mail. Compared to all my previous phones, the notification system is awful. All I want is simple specific audio alert and obvious visual notification when the phone wakes up, a feature I had on most of my previous basic cell phones.
Just recently my voice-dial over my bluetooth stopped working - when I hit the button on my headset, all it does it redial the last number I had dialed. I'm not aware of any phone updates since it last worked. I've powered the phone off and on and still no luck. It was bad enough when I had to "wake it up" in order to use it. This is very frustrating - when I'm driving, I'm on the highway. I'm not stopping regularly for traffic lights so I can dial!
I'm locked out of my phone. Whenever my phone restarts, it for some reason always changes the default input to Google Voice Input. I just recently changed my security from a Pattern to a Pin. The only problem is now I can't enter my unlock PIN with the google voice keyboard. I said the numbers followed by "enter" and "return" or the numbers by themselves but it didn't work.
The advertising / presentation video for 3.03 shows a dude giving voice commands / direction to his phone, which starts to navigate to the correct address without a finger touched the phone. How will I do this on N97, is it possible?
I mean, installing agingerbread keyboard from play store, the voice input icon appears in the keyboard...However, I'd prefer to use the stock one. This is for the xperia active, compilation 4.0.2.A.0.62 (android 2.3.4) and at the moment I don't plan to upgrade to ics.
Without me doing anything, my (new) HTC ONE M9 started requiring me to SPEAK the necessary text (e.g. passwords) instead of presenting the keyboard where one would normally type the text.
Started with VIBER OUT (when I tried to purchase credit) but now it is pervasive - AY text input is expected through voice.
A small window at the bottom of the screen pops-up (with a mic button and the google logo on it) - I can't get rid of it ...
So the "OK Google" voice activation was working from home and Google Now screens this morning when I got the phone. Now the microphone icon changed to this and won't react to my voice input so I have to manually tap the icon to start voice command.
