Since updating to the Gingerbread release, I cannot work out how to respond to meeting requests in the calendar. I'm sure it's just something I'm missing but I can't see how to do it.How do I respond to the requests?

I recently applied the latest blackberry update to v.6.0. ever since, any meeting requests i send from my BB send to my invites as blank emails. never had this issue prior.

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a meeting invitation sent from Microsoft Hotmail / Microsoft Windows Live Mail / Microsoft Outlook to my Google Gmail account, I am unable to accept or decline the invitation from the Android 4.0.4 Gmail App. The Gmail App displays the email message as having an ".ics" attachment. Clicking the ".ics" attachment opens the event in the Android 4.0.4 Calendar App. Unfortunately, neither the Gmail App nor the Calendar App provide a way to respond to the sender with an indication of accept or decline. Further, the event on the calendar loses the information about the event organizer and instead incorretly shows me as the creator of the event rather than as an attendee.
A related issue is that the Calendar App insists on storing the event on the "Device calendar." More information on saving the event to the default calendar is described in the post "Problem saving meeting invites on RAZR." Android Issue 1257, "Calendar should support opening iCal .ics files" is also relevant.
Is there any way to use the ATRIX HD in a way that is compatible with iCalendar (.ics) format invitations? Test System: Motorola Atrix HD, Android 4.0.4.
Since upgrading to Gingerbread (2.3.4) on the Motorola Atrix I have not been able to accept/decline/tentative meeting invitations from my phone. Is anyone else having this problem? I do have 2 (multiple) Coporate Sync accounts setup where I am syncing calendar and email etc. I have not attempted to see if having one would make it possible. I can't accept the invite from the calendar nor from the email.

The voice input dialog pops up, but nothing that's said is heard and the input mode just reacts as if it just got silence.
I may have had the phone connected to my bluetooth speaker phone in the car at some point (or a headset), but I'm not 100% sure.
phone has been fine while plugged in, until about 2 minutes ago. plugged it in, tried to pull the notification bar down to switch to mass storage mode and the screen would not respond. took a couple swipes, and it eventually worked after a few tries.it's also doing it in my car dock now too.has been fine, nothing has changed, just started doing it out of the blue.

I had talked to Motorola specialist over the phone and she provided me with a new charger. However, the problem still persists.
Yesterday, I used a Blackberry charger (with very close voltage and current output) and the phone worked fine.
I had over half a charge after sending a text message yesterday around 3pm. I looked at the phone at 4:30 and the screen was black and the device doesn't respond. I removed the battery and put it back to no avail. If I plug it in, the green light comes on - the Motorola splash screen displays - then a battery meter displays.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a meeting invite from someone as an .ics file attached to an email if I open the attachment and press save it is saved to the local phone calendar and not my Google calendar, which has been set to be the default calendar. There seems to be no option to allow it to save it to the Google calendar (or move it afterwards), other than not saving it on the phone but waiting until I have access to my (non-Moto) Android tablet which doesn't have a local calendar, just the Google calendar.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIve had my Cliq for about 1 1/2 years, I used it every day for a few months, put it away, now the touch screen doesn't work at all. Managed to get 2.1 installed on it by using the keyboard to navigate through everything. Managed to do a factory reset to see if that is the problem, but it still does not work. I have not used this phone probably for 8 months, but before I stored it it was working perfectly fine. Was just wondering if maybe this is a software problem that occured with the update, or if it is just something internal. My waranty time period is over though, I was just going to try to sell this on Ebay since I have switched cell phone company to Verizon. .

It will no longer open gmail and let me read the mail but if I open gmail using the app it works fine. I have also notice this with some of the downloads within the email app but not through the gallery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got this Titanium My office usually sends me appointment requests from outlook through my work email. It's not exchange email, just generic email. They used to automatically appear on my BB calendar. I receive the emails on the T but they're blank except for the prompt to open/save the attachment. If I open the attachment, the calendar event is in 'raw' format. If I save it, it stores it as 'unkown attachment' on the sd card. It doesn't get added to my calendar. I've got outlook 2007 on my pc and tried it from my personal account (not gmail), same results. I set up forwarding all email from my work's website to my gmail account. When it gets to gmail, I have to click on the email then choose 'add to calendar' or it does nothing. I need it to be automatic. My calendar type is google. I have sync options set to auto and I've cleared the data from the calendar as posted by someone else who had a problem with calendar syncing) Creating an appointment on the gmail website works fine, it appears on my phone quickly. This seems kind of convoluted. If my fellow employees switch to Android this will be a PITA. Is there an automatic way of doing this?

Even stranger, I found out by accident while on a call to Motorola that if I use my finger nail it will work, just not smooth. I did not think a finger nail was supposed to work. Motorola told me to go to the Verizon store and see if any other device had the issue. Generally, when the phone goes into Locked/ Sleep mode I will attempt to unlock it and the screen will be unresponsive.Sometimes I'll be able to unlock it and then it will be unresponsive to touch.Most of the time, pressing the Sleep button and re-unlocking it will solve the problem, TEMPORARILY.
This is a frequent occurance and has gotten to the point where it significantly impacts my ability to use the phone effectively.Especially when I receive an incoming call that I am unable to answer because the screen does not respond.Motorola experts, would you recommend sending the phone in for warranty service?Are there any firmware upgrades I need to address this?
Got My Defy 2 days back. Last night it rained heavily and I had to walk from my office to home. It was a 30-35 minute walk. I put my Defy in my pocket and started walking thinking its a water proof phone. When I reached home, first the phone's screen didn't respond to any touch. After a minute it went completely black and I could see heavy moisture under the glass. Only sensors were throwing some colored lights. I tried to call from my friend's phone on my number, and I could listen to the ringtone only. I could not pick up the call since there was nothing at all on screen. Today I put the phone in rice for around 8 hours still the condition is same. Its very unfortunate that I could use and explore my phone properly even for 2-3 days.

I put the phone in my pocket and alll of a sudden they couldn't hear me talk. Long story short the mic will not pick up anything and even using Winamp which lets you use the headphones (worked on my EVO) to control audio playback I get nothing.

When I get an incoming text now, I am asked if I would like to listen to the message, like always. Then it chimes like it's supposed to, indicating that it's my turn to say a command, but now, it just keeps chiming, and chiming, and it doesn't stop, never allowing me to say anything. The only way to stop it is to close the program.
When I receive an incoming call, I guess the usual, "Call from {name}, say Answer or Ignore". That works perfectly fine. But if I MISS the call, and it asks if I would like to send a text message to the caller, I run into the same issue as above.
I've tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the Assist updates. But I can't get it to function like it used to.
When I receive a text message as a member of a group, how do I respond to only one person such as the sender only? All I see is Respond All.
