After cleaning up my download folder I notice that when I try to tap a email on the gmail widget the screen turns dark and just sits there. It will no longer open gmail and let me read the mail but if I open gmail using the app it works fine. I have also notice this with some of the downloads within the email app but not through the gallery.

Not only that but it is unresponsive, I can't type in it, the mic doesn't respond, it's there but not working and I don't want it to begin with. My phone did a bunch of updates today, I wonder if some update messed it up. It has moforoot and KitKat....

View 3 Replies View RelatedReceived my new Admiral last night. My issue is Gmail. My business accounts use Gmail and I was excited that the Admiral had a Universal Inbox like BB. Unfortunately it seems that Gmail will not work with the Universal Inbox which is a real problem for me. I really need to see and preview my business accounts first. There is also no widget option for Gmail, only my Yahoo mail. Any workaround for the Universal Inbox or a Gmail widget I could add?

View 3 Replies View RelatedRunning ICS on Xoom Wifi. When creating a photo gallery widget, and selecting a single image, then go to crop, it seems to freeze the tablet on Saving Picture... prompt. Touching the controls icons won't do anything, just blank screen.I have to wait for a few, then the launcher freeze popup saying wait/report/stop. When creating photo gallery widget from album or shuffle, it works. It just doesn't work with single image. I think this is a bug, repeatable with any images.if I have space left, it says 28.11 GB free.

The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. How do I add new albums? Do I need a task manager that will release some of the open programs because my Xoom gets "bogged down" and won't respond to my taps or touches,it seems. I end up doing a hard shutdown because I can't find a way to REFRESH it - or whatever you would call it. Even that doesn't give it the boost that it originally had when I bought it.

I have cleared cache rebooted deleted two gmail accounts disabled sync etc. How do I fix this. I have thought about doing a android rest but others have done this without any luck.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to ICS, I've routinely encountered an error when exiting from the Gmail application. It happens often enough that it is pretty reproducible, and I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this:
1) Open the Gmail app
2) Do some stuff
3) Tap the "home" button in the bottom left corner of the screen
4) Gmail will exit, I'm returned to the home screen, and an error dialog pops up that says "Unfortunately, Gmail has stopped", with two buttons for "Report" and "Ok".
Other details:
--It seems to happen whether I start Gmail from its widget or from the Gmail icon
--Shortly after upgrading to ICS I did a factory reset in order to do a clean install of ICS. This problem existed after the initial upgrade to ICS as well as after the clean install
My Photon 4 G does not sync calendar, contact, Gmail with my company Gmail account. I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)
View 7 Replies View RelatedIve had my Cliq for about 1 1/2 years, I used it every day for a few months, put it away, now the touch screen doesn't work at all. Managed to get 2.1 installed on it by using the keyboard to navigate through everything. Managed to do a factory reset to see if that is the problem, but it still does not work. I have not used this phone probably for 8 months, but before I stored it it was working perfectly fine. Was just wondering if maybe this is a software problem that occured with the update, or if it is just something internal. My waranty time period is over though, I was just going to try to sell this on Ebay since I have switched cell phone company to Verizon. .

The voice input dialog pops up, but nothing that's said is heard and the input mode just reacts as if it just got silence.
I may have had the phone connected to my bluetooth speaker phone in the car at some point (or a headset), but I'm not 100% sure.
