I have discovered that the list of email messages in the corporate email widget stops updating shortly after a reboot. It continues to display a static list of messages. If I tap the widget to open email, I find many new, more recent, messages in my inbox.
View 1 RepliesI have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.
is there a way to easily toggle 3g data on or off rather that throughsettings/networks etc ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe stock Motorola Widgets/Weather widget has taken a nosedive since the OTA Gingerbread update hit my Droid X. The stock widget uses Accuweather.com data and it always previously behaved correctly with Froyo.
The problem I'm facing is that even though the Current Location/Show current location on widget green box is checked, the "current location" doesn't automatically update as I travel from town to town, as it used to do with Froyo.
I have the Settings/Location & security/Google location services green box checked. I have the Settings/Location & security/Standalone GPS services and VZW location services grey boxes unchecked.
After cleaning up my download folder I notice that when I try to tap a email on the gmail widget the screen turns dark and just sits there. It will no longer open gmail and let me read the mail but if I open gmail using the app it works fine. I have also notice this with some of the downloads within the email app but not through the gallery.

Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.

Touching the controls icons won't do anything, just blank screen.I have to wait for a few, then the launcher freeze popup saying wait/report/stop. Trying to set up corporate email sync. It sets up fine and pulls down my calendar, but won't get the email. When I try to view the email, I get a "connection error" message. It says it can't sync with the exchange server.
Tech support on the phone was useless - told me to go t the store and try it on another phone. really? The automated voice repsonse system said to download the instructions for getting the right exchange server settings to give to IT. I went tot he website and when I clicked on the link tot he file, it said - "sorry - that answer is not available"
I've been dealing with this fall morning, and am really frustrated - just needed to vent. If I can't get this worked out in short order I'm going to return the phone, and go back to the old "dumb phone"
I set up the corporate email app when I first got my droid turbo 4 weeks ago. I used the same settings that I did with my RAZR MAXX HD. initially replies were sent correctly but after about a week they became jammed up in the Outbox. I had to delete the account and started again but this time it only worked for 2 days.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am unable to send an email with a new attachment via my corporate email. It does not matter if the attachment is 50kb or 1mb. I tried to do the same via GMail and had no issues. If I receive a corporate email with an attachment, I can forward that without any issues. The problem is when I add an attachment to an email. I also tried using Touchdown which had the same issue.
I have tried the following:
checked exchange / activesync settings to verify no restrictions reformatted the sd card, even though attachments were not on there. couple of reboots removing and re-adding the corporate account

The coporate email is one of the main functions that I use my phone for, so its very important that it works correctly. I have tried it off WIFI and on WIFI with the same issues. It just periodically loses connection with the server and gives error message that says "Couldn't find connection to server". Like I said, this may last for only couple of hours or most of the day and then it just starts working again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to 2.3.4 my battery is drained from 100% to about 5% in about 3 hours. I noticed that data is constantly being sent and received. It seems if I change my emaill devlivery option on corporate sync email accounts from push to a periodic time, things gets much better. If I delete all but 1 coorporate sync email account battery life also returns to something tolerable. I am not receiving a lot of emails (less than 20 emails messages during the time). It seems as though multiple corporate sync emails accounts was broken in Gingerbread in a way that push email is not practical as battery is consumed and data is rate is too high. Without receiving any email had exchanged a few MB of data in less than an hour. Having single corporate sync account alleviate the data load and extended the battery life back to normal.
