Two days ago, my social widget, which I had configured to just synch twitter, stopped updating. I've tried battery pull, and trashing the widget, and setting it up again.

On the Bionic which was very similar, we had the option of selection "PUSH" or we could fetch the data for those feeds at different time frames. I dont see that option at all on the RAZR, and i would rather not have push going all day for facebook and twitter...

Most of the time it works as expected - items show up until I view them once, then no longer. Too often though I have to scroll through a bunch of updates multiple times
View 1 Replies View RelatedSocial Networking Widget no longer working. When trying to update the Facebook service for the widget it says the password is incorrect. I delete the password, reenter it, it says: Updating Facebook service. The progress bar loads halfway and then says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I then removed the account and readded it. I rentered my email address and password. The progress bar loads 1/3 of the way and it says: Adding your Facebook account. After that, it says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I've tried turning the phone of and then turning it back on. I've also taken the battery out and done it that way. Still same result.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.
The stock Motorola Widgets/Weather widget has taken a nosedive since the OTA Gingerbread update hit my Droid X. The stock widget uses Accuweather.com data and it always previously behaved correctly with Froyo.
The problem I'm facing is that even though the Current Location/Show current location on widget green box is checked, the "current location" doesn't automatically update as I travel from town to town, as it used to do with Froyo.
I have the Settings/Location & security/Google location services green box checked. I have the Settings/Location & security/Standalone GPS services and VZW location services grey boxes unchecked.
I have the tasks widget on one of my homescreens and it would be great if it worked properly. Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI Just received a brand new Atrix 2 today and everything has been lovely so far, but the social networking app refuses to cooporate or get off the ground at all. I will open up the app to see this after I have entered all my account info:
after clicking on the only available button (add a social network) and clicking on any given social networking icon that I have already entered info for, I get this:
Finally, If I try to edit my account info the account menu, I see the following two fields, which I cannot edit, which is followed by this message after hitting ok:
I have re-entered the information several times, restarted the device several times, and all my data delivery options have been clicked or unclicked during several trials. The apps accompanying widgets only option is to "add a social network" not unlike the first screencap.

It doesn't changed anything else into french though, and as far as I can tell doesn't cause any other issues, it's mostly just annoying. I have already tried rebooting the phone and nothing changed.
View 1 Replies View Relatedcouple of weeks ago i started having issues with the social networking (and perhaps messaging) widgets. I see there is a new message on the widget and when I click it all the panels are Loading with blank info, when I go back and it says there are no recent unseen updates and I click on it and see all updates I can see all of them however any pictures will not load as well.everything is else is working good. I tried factory reset and few other suggestions from around this forum with no luck. the only thing I didn't try yet is a new blur account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
I just bought an Electrify, and i have been unable to add any accounts to the social networking widget. I go to add an account to it, and i select facebook, and i enter my email and pass, and then it loads for a little bit, then i come to another screen where my password is already entered, but the email box is greyed out, and it wont let me go any further until i enter an email, but since the box is greyed out i cant do anything.

I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.

Currently there lots of tears in internets about SN-Widget and how bad/random its synching with Facebook, there also some workarounds but i would love to get an answer from any Officials.My workaround: was uninstalling the update for Social Networks app and after reboot its synched my FB stuff perfectly, but when Blur-updater(see task-manager) installed it again the widget stopped synching anything from FB.Its works also random with Twitter - actualy its shows you your status update but not the tweets you fallow.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been using corporate sync on my phone for months and it worked great. Just this thursday it stopped working. Im getting an error message that says Connection error.
I know all my settings are correct. It isnt that a password was changed. With the same settings I am still able to sync the email on my Xoom. So I dont know why it wont work on my phone.
Ive tried deleted the whole account and re-adding it. When I put everything in, it acts like all is well, no errors. But when I go to the email and hit refresh I just keep getting the 'Connection error'?
I have a relatively new Atrix 2 and the pre installed Social Networking widget stopped updating. I have deleted the widget and reinstalled it from the app, I have deleted my accounts and then added them back. These seem to work for a day or two and then it stops working again. Like this app. Worked well for about a month then stopped.

Rebooting the phone will get everything to update. But then a few hours later it will stop and I'll have to reboot the phone again.I understand that rebooting the phone every so often is a good thing to do. But, I don't want to reboot it several times a day just to update this app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOur facility uses Exchange Server 2003, and I have not had problems with my Corporate Sync e-mail since receiving Froyo back in September. If I was sitting at my desk, I would consistently get a push notification on my phone a few seconds before I saw a new e-mail pop up on the Web Access client on my PC. It was great.All of a sudden, I am getting nothing. I missed several important e-mails over the weekend, and my phone will not show new messages unless I open the E-mail client and manually Refresh.
I have removed/re-added the Account a couple of times, but that doesn't seem to do any good. I have a colleague who has an Incredible, and his work e-mails are working just fine, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem with the Exchange server. The login/password aren't wrong, since I can Refresh and receive my new messages, but why would the push e-mail just halt? Are there known problems on the Blur servers? If so, is there a way we can find out about that without having to just miss a bunch of e-mails?
Anyone else having trouble with the date on the widget not updating to the current day?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that the list of email messages in the corporate email widget stops updating shortly after a reboot. It continues to display a static list of messages. If I tap the widget to open email, I find many new, more recent, messages in my inbox.

The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.

I have uninstalled the Social App and the widget app from the applications. I ran a software update check, which show me the Social App to download, it is ok, it was reinstall successfully, but... where is the widget for the Social app?So how can I reinstall the Nokia Social App widget again? Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them.
