Motorola Electrify :: MOTOBLUR Social Network Widget Not Working
Feb 2, 2012My Social Networking widget hasn't pulled any updates since January 29th. I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.

Feb 2, 2012Well just wonder if there some Devs here to get any word on Motoblur/Social widget stuck. Currently there lots of tears in internets about SN-Widget and how bad/random its synching with Facebook, there also some workarounds but i would love to get an answer from any Officials.My workaround: was uninstalling the update for Social Networks app and after reboot its synched my FB stuff perfectly, but when Blur-updater(see task-manager) installed it again the widget stopped synching anything from FB.Its works also random with Twitter - actualy its shows you your status update but not the tweets you fallow.

Jul 26, 2011I have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
Motorola Defy :: Cannot Re-Add Social Network / Entry Invalid?
Jul 6, 2011Myspace account stopped sync and updating in the happenings. so like twitter, I deleted my account and re-added, but now I cant re-add my space account at all! It keeps giving me the message "Your entry is invalid, please try again."I keep trying it everyday but no use. It also disappeared from the status bar (where i post my happening status to social networks). Why can't I re-add my myspace account? it worked before resetting the phone. everything works fine and all other social networks like twitter, orkut and facebook work fine ,but not mypace. I tried logging in to myspace from a PC and my login worked fine. I even created a new motoblur account but no use.

Aug 2, 2011I have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.

Dec 26, 2011I Just received a brand new Atrix 2 today and everything has been lovely so far, but the social networking app refuses to cooporate or get off the ground at all. I will open up the app to see this after I have entered all my account info:
after clicking on the only available button (add a social network) and clicking on any given social networking icon that I have already entered info for, I get this:
Finally, If I try to edit my account info the account menu, I see the following two fields, which I cannot edit, which is followed by this message after hitting ok:
I have re-entered the information several times, restarted the device several times, and all my data delivery options have been clicked or unclicked during several trials. The apps accompanying widgets only option is to "add a social network" not unlike the first screencap.
Motorola Atrix 4G :: Social Networking Widget Not Working Properly?
May 23, 2012couple of weeks ago i started having issues with the social networking (and perhaps messaging) widgets. I see there is a new message on the widget and when I click it all the panels are Loading with blank info, when I go back and it says there are no recent unseen updates and I click on it and see all updates I can see all of them however any pictures will not load as well.everything is else is working good. I tried factory reset and few other suggestions from around this forum with no luck. the only thing I didn't try yet is a new blur account.

Jul 26, 2011Social Networking Widget no longer working. When trying to update the Facebook service for the widget it says the password is incorrect. I delete the password, reenter it, it says: Updating Facebook service. The progress bar loads halfway and then says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I then removed the account and readded it. I rentered my email address and password. The progress bar loads 1/3 of the way and it says: Adding your Facebook account. After that, it says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I've tried turning the phone of and then turning it back on. I've also taken the battery out and done it that way. Still same result.

I go to add an account to it, and i select facebook, and i enter my email and pass, and then it loads for a little bit, then i come to another screen where my password is already entered, but the email box is greyed out, and it wont let me go any further until i enter an email, but since the box is greyed out i cant do anything.

Apr 20, 2011I've had my DEFY for about three weeks now. Overall I've been very happy with the phone.The Social Networking app just stops updating at random. Rebooting the phone will get everything to update. But then a few hours later it will stop and I'll have to reboot the phone again.I understand that rebooting the phone every so often is a good thing to do. Jul 26, 2011Main screen > 2sec taphold > stock Motorola widget > Date and time > Clock style > drop down option show analogue & digital - can't see the digital or analogue clocks options. Could see the different clocks in 2.1 and then select. But not in 2.2.2. You just select digital and see if it appears on the screen after stepping out of this settingsBut despite selecting digital, after revisiting the settings box, it still shows analogue - it should show digital since I selected digitalOn the screen the digital time & date widget shows up with time (top part: time side is ok) but with date (bottom part), this part shows the entire calendar with the highlight on present date. Funny aspect is that earlier at the first ever initial time I selected this widget, it showed up with the date i.e., with bigger matching font size to time (top: time , bottom: date) but later it stuck to the entire month-calendar format as mentioned above. After this the widget screen size also remained unchangeable. This widget can't be resized. It could be resized in 2.1 with your format in mind.
Its stuck on this:I just want to see the date and time (3:44pm 15 Nov Mon) and not the entire month-calendar ... ideally this should go away once the widget is resized.Its quite surprising to see 2.2 behave so .. for a lack of better word .. buggish. I did the bit where you switch off the phone, remove the battery and fit it back and restart, but this didn't do much.Update:Got this widget to resize by fluke when I tried to insert another application on the home screen and so I have managed to at least get the widget to become smaller, albeit in the 'vertical stack' form. That means this widget gets resized only when another application's insert 'forces' it to resize but only in this form .. something is better than nothing I guess BUT AM LOOKING FOR THIS WIDTH & 'HORIZONTAL' FIT AS PER THE PIC BELOW [was easily possible in the stock Android 2.1]ndo Screen-Lock:I was able to undo the screen-lock in 2.1 ... any advice on how I can get the Defy to open straight on the home menu screen without having to go thru the 'unlock screen swipe' in 2.2.2?
Motorola Defy :: Some Texts Not Displaying In Messaging Widget
May 15, 2011This just started happening after the upgrade to froyo. I get a lot of texts from one person, and they were always displayed in the messaging widget before the upgrade. Now they only appear in the notification bar. Have tried deleting the conversation to start over but no change.

I was still able to use Twitter's official mobile app & Facebook's official mobile app. By 5pm last night (Monday/Halloween) NONE of the social network apps were working. This included Tweetdeck, Twitter official, Facebook official, Hoot Suite, Google+, AND even when I accessed Twitter's normal site via browser. I've turned the phone on & off several times and that hasn't done anything.

Feb 22, 2012Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. Nokia, you're winding me up.

Jun 29, 2011I've bought my 'Defy, motoblur - MB525' on 'T-mobile - UK. It doesn't seems to be connecting to 3G. I've gone thru different checks on the phone with t-mobile support, even sent my phone for 3 weeks but still the same problem. They'v ask me to sent it back. Mobile network is set on auto, but i m unable to view any videos or download a simple pdf, it takes very long to connect to some sites. There is always a 'G' on top of the screen.
