My happenings are updating really slow or not updating at all. The Android Market is only displaying 5 apps or so on every category. I've uninstalled the market update and still no luck. I have done so many factory resets that I don't know what do to do any longer? I have created numerous accounts and that doesn't help at all either.

after purchasing a charm with motoblur last week, i was able to set up my motoblur account through wi-fi, send and receive messages as tests to make sure the phone was working through providers at&t and t-mobile (because i had unlocked and inserted an existing british simcard on the network "3"). i opted to not enter the browser/marketplace due to the price of roaming abroad.after travelling back to the uk today, i was able to make a couple of calls and around twenty sms's with no problems whatsoever, but as i was not roaming abroad any more, i tried the browser, marketplace, maps and Internet. none of these worked due to the network state being disconnected, despite being connected to the provider "3" (found going through settings>status>network connection state: disconnected). thus when returning home, i hunted around the internet on the computer to find a way for browsing to return, just in case i'd by accident declined something earlier in the week. i came upon the "master reset / factory data reset" page on the website: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/49373/~/charm---master-reset-%2f-factory-data-reset
after following these instructions, the phone reset. ok. then, when going back through the welcome/getting started intro to the phone, there was still a failure of network connection, and any wi-fi connections with the correct password entered always ended in "wrong password entered," or it ignored the previous password and a vicious circle of correct password after correct password began.
My friend has a Motorola Charm but the internet on it is broken. Before she gets it replaced she wants to back up text messages of her husband who is no longer alive.I don't own this phone so not sure where to start but is there anyway to back up the text messages via a USB cable?

It keeps giving me the message "Your entry is invalid, please try again."I keep trying it everyday but no use. It also disappeared from the status bar (where i post my happening status to social networks). Why can't I re-add my myspace account? it worked before resetting the phone. everything works fine and all other social networks like twitter, orkut and facebook work fine ,but not mypace. I tried logging in to myspace from a PC and my login worked fine. I even created a new motoblur account but no use.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
My Social Networking widget hasn't pulled any updates since January 29th. I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.

View 5 Replies View RelatedStarting Sunday evening Tweetdeck kept force-closing on me before I could make a post. I was still able to use Twitter's official mobile app & Facebook's official mobile app. By 5pm last night (Monday/Halloween) NONE of the social network apps were working. This included Tweetdeck, Twitter official, Facebook official, Hoot Suite, Google+, AND even when I accessed Twitter's normal site via browser. I've turned the phone on & off several times and that hasn't done anything.

Do I have to look at the update icon for the lifetime of the phone? When installing the Microsoft package, there was privacy agreement, which I declined, but that did not cancel the agreement either.

Originally my service plan was for a htc but I have now changed my service plan with orange so it has the blackberry service plan on it. I have double checked on my online account with orange and it has been updated so I assumed I would be able to set up my email accounts on my blackberry as usual with no problems But I cant do anything, I can't even register my phone with blackberry it keeps asking me to register my host routing table which I have done. It says the register email has been sent but nothing has happened. I have taken my battery out to see if it will update but still nothing? When using the email set up it had the BBES option but not the option to set up my personal emails.

Having owned the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for a couple of months or so, I must say that I really like the phone and it has great functionality.My main concerns/issues however are outlined below:
1. Facebook for Nokia app is slow, does not show all of the functions that m.facebook.com shows and isn't a homescreen widget (e.g. push notifications)
2. Communities app is even slower and again does not have the functionality of m.facebook.com and doesn't show notifications at all!
3. The Nokia Messaging app insists on connecting to 3G all the time, rather than a wifi connection when available. I've also experienced intermittent issues when trying to connect (sometimes it stays offline and even selecting 'Go online' doesn't wake the program up).
4. Default web browser keeps crashing and doesn't support larger websites (I experience intermittent crashes as well as memory issues). I do not receive such issues in Opera Mobile. I also dislike the defaulting to full screen mode all the time. If you turn full screen off, as soon as you navigate to a different page it goes back to full screen again, therefore increasing the activity on the phone and it takes longer to load the page before you can scroll or click another link.
I think I've covered all of my main concerns but in essence this device really needs better app support and social networking integration.I would be grateful if I could be given an update on if/when we can expect to receive such support.If anyone else agrees, please indicate below along with any additional feature requests relating to this topic.
My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the Charm late last week and this Tuesday, and Wednesday, it dropped one call each day. I had restarted the phone and even took the battery out, let it sit a minute, put it back in and restart. Today, after dropping a call, I called Tmobile for help. Ended up talking to a manager because the service person wouldn't help me. While on the phone with manager, phone dropped a call. He had me change the SIM card. I went to call hubby (we both got the Charm same day) to have him change his card also, got to voicemail, dropped call, tried Tmobile, half a ring, dropped call. Got to customer service, they switched me to Tier 2 tech support, he was about to give me directions and dropped call. He ended up leaving me a voicemail because he tried calling me back twice and both times it went straight to voicemail. Told me to change the settings from 3G to 2G. I've only used the phone around 15 minutes since switching to 2G but it didnt drop.

The only problem is that I can't use my calendar because it requires me to sync to gmail (or whatever) to use it, to sync a calendar from the internet or something. However, I do not have wifi connection on my phone, and do not wish to get it. I just want to use my calendar without having to connect to the internet in any way. Is there some way around this synchronization? Is there something I can download and move to my phone so I don't have to sync with anything via wifi?
