View 3 RepliesI have just started using my blackberry again. Originally my service plan was for a htc but I have now changed my service plan with orange so it has the blackberry service plan on it. I have double checked on my online account with orange and it has been updated so I assumed I would be able to set up my email accounts on my blackberry as usual with no problems But I cant do anything, I can't even register my phone with blackberry it keeps asking me to register my host routing table which I have done. It says the register email has been sent but nothing has happened. I have taken my battery out to see if it will update but still nothing? When using the email set up it had the BBES option but not the option to set up my personal emails.

I can see posts from my friends through this App. However, when I try to post to Facebook, it gives an error. The error is "Your post was NOT sent to Facebook". The popup message appears instantly, hence I think the phone is not even attempting to make the post. I can post to Twitter and BBM, however.

i have been receiving facebook notifications, in the form network notification written on top of the screen from past many days ...these notifications are titled as network notifications....these notifications are neither in the form of messages or email and they disappear once i see them....i have not subscribed for any text notification on Facebook but still i am receiving these notification at odd times during night..

It keeps giving me the message "Your entry is invalid, please try again."I keep trying it everyday but no use. It also disappeared from the status bar (where i post my happening status to social networks). Why can't I re-add my myspace account? it worked before resetting the phone. everything works fine and all other social networks like twitter, orkut and facebook work fine ,but not mypace. I see all of them in the facebook for android app. Twitter, with its simple design, is the mostly the only thing I see updates from in Social Networking.I dug into the software on the phone and found the probable cause.The App Social Networking uses a process called com.motorola.blur.friendfeed.After tracing the path to the resource files for this process, I find this process uses 2 resource files, both located in /system/app/ called FriendFeed.odex and FriendFeed.apk. These files and the other files related them (friendfeed.xml file that crossreferences process com.motorola.blur.friendfeed to friendfeed.jar) all have a date/timestamp of 3-8 16:25 - basically, about when the Droid 4 first came out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
My Social Networking widget hasn't pulled any updates since January 29th. I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.

I was still able to use Twitter's official mobile app & Facebook's official mobile app. By 5pm last night (Monday/Halloween) NONE of the social network apps were working. This included Tweetdeck, Twitter official, Facebook official, Hoot Suite, Google+, AND even when I accessed Twitter's normal site via browser. I've turned the phone on & off several times and that hasn't done anything.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving owned the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for a couple of months or so, I must say that I really like the phone and it has great functionality.My main concerns/issues however are outlined below:
1. Facebook for Nokia app is slow, does not show all of the functions that m.facebook.com shows and isn't a homescreen widget (e.g. push notifications)
2. Communities app is even slower and again does not have the functionality of m.facebook.com and doesn't show notifications at all!
3. The Nokia Messaging app insists on connecting to 3G all the time, rather than a wifi connection when available. I've also experienced intermittent issues when trying to connect (sometimes it stays offline and even selecting 'Go online' doesn't wake the program up).
4. Default web browser keeps crashing and doesn't support larger websites (I experience intermittent crashes as well as memory issues). I do not receive such issues in Opera Mobile. I also dislike the defaulting to full screen mode all the time. If you turn full screen off, as soon as you navigate to a different page it goes back to full screen again, therefore increasing the activity on the phone and it takes longer to load the page before you can scroll or click another link.
I think I've covered all of my main concerns but in essence this device really needs better app support and social networking integration.I would be grateful if I could be given an update on if/when we can expect to receive such support.If anyone else agrees, please indicate below along with any additional feature requests relating to this topic.
Well just wonder if there some Devs here to get any word on Motoblur/Social widget stuck. Currently there lots of tears in internets about SN-Widget and how bad/random its synching with Facebook, there also some workarounds but i would love to get an answer from any Officials.My workaround: was uninstalling the update for Social Networks app and after reboot its synched my FB stuff perfectly, but when Blur-updater(see task-manager) installed it again the widget stopped synching anything from FB.Its works also random with Twitter - actualy its shows you your status update but not the tweets you fallow.

Since Thursday night I've been receiving a SOS signal from my pay as you go Blackberry 8520 when I'm in my apartment or on my block. Or worse, it will say I have full coverage but I can't send or receive phonecalls or messages. If I walk two blocks in any direction the signal comes back. I've been to the Vodafone store multiple times and with the language barrier they keep telling me nothing is wrong. I finally got them to give me a new sim card today hoping that would fix it but i still can't get any signal. I'm sure it's probably something to do with the network but really, for three/four days?? I've lived in the same apartment for the past 4 months with absolutely no problem. I only have a week left in Italy with this phone but it's frustrating because I have to stay home and study for finals and now I can't get into contact with anyone. I've tried the battery pull, wiping my device, changing my SIM card...literally everything I can think of.
I left my phone at my desk, and when I remembered it had the battery drained. I tried to charge it and couldnt turn it on, then, the next morning it turned on but now it cannot join my network. It only says that is connected to SOS...

My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.

I cant do anything else other than seeing all those updates. I mean I can upload any photos or videos, I understood that its not an app kind but something else. Now, how do I remove/delete those two accounts from that social hub. Couldn't see any options available? Also noticed in other forums that once if we delete that account it cannot be added again coz of SNS feed issues?

I try to manually connect to the network but it can't find any "Scan for networks failed". It also has my mobile network down as Vodafone UK for some reason. I've tried rebooting the phone but to no effect.
