BB Curve :: Cannot Set Up Email Account Or Use Any Social Network

I have just started using my blackberry again. Originally my service plan was for a htc but I have now changed my service plan with orange so it has the blackberry service plan on it. I have double checked on my online account with orange and it has been updated so I assumed I would be able to set up my email accounts on my blackberry as usual with no problems But I cant do anything, I can't even register my phone with blackberry it keeps asking me to register my host routing table which I have done. It says the register email has been sent but nothing has happened. I have taken my battery out to see if it will update but still nothing? When using the email set up it had the BBES option but not the option to set up my personal emails.
Having owned the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for a couple of months or so, I must say that I really like the phone and it has great functionality.My main concerns/issues however are outlined below:
1. Facebook for Nokia app is slow, does not show all of the functions that m.facebook.com shows and isn't a homescreen widget (e.g. push notifications)
2. Communities app is even slower and again does not have the functionality of m.facebook.com and doesn't show notifications at all!
3. The Nokia Messaging app insists on connecting to 3G all the time, rather than a wifi connection when available. I've also experienced intermittent issues when trying to connect (sometimes it stays offline and even selecting 'Go online' doesn't wake the program up).
4. Default web browser keeps crashing and doesn't support larger websites (I experience intermittent crashes as well as memory issues). I do not receive such issues in Opera Mobile. I also dislike the defaulting to full screen mode all the time. If you turn full screen off, as soon as you navigate to a different page it goes back to full screen again, therefore increasing the activity on the phone and it takes longer to load the page before you can scroll or click another link.
I think I've covered all of my main concerns but in essence this device really needs better app support and social networking integration.I would be grateful if I could be given an update on if/when we can expect to receive such support.If anyone else agrees, please indicate below along with any additional feature requests relating to this topic.
My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.
after reparation of my blackberry I cannot connect with social network as facebook. What can I do ?? and then I cannot dowload any other application as "m.poynt.com/rf.
Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
I switched from my Nextel 8350i to the new Bold 9650 on Sprint. So they had to switch networks for me. I already had a sprint.blackberry.net email established over at Nextel - but when I go online at the sprint.blackberry.com site to add my emails - it won't let me add this one - if I put in the info as an established email - it asks me for the server name. I talked to tech support a good 40 minutes with no help what so ever! I even looked into it like they may have canceled my email - but when I enter it as a new one it says it's taken. So anyone know how I can add my existing blackberry email account to this new phone/network?
just deleted an old email account and set up a new one on device. however all the old contacts remain. how do i get rid of them. they only go if i delete email account but once i set up a new account the old contacts appear. theres too many i want to delete them.
Myspace account stopped sync and updating in the happenings. so like twitter, I deleted my account and re-added, but now I cant re-add my space account at all! It keeps giving me the message "Your entry is invalid, please try again."I keep trying it everyday but no use. It also disappeared from the status bar (where i post my happening status to social networks). Why can't I re-add my myspace account? it worked before resetting the phone. everything works fine and all other social networks like twitter, orkut and facebook work fine ,but not mypace. I tried logging in to myspace from a PC and my login worked fine. I even created a new motoblur account but no use.
I have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
My Social Networking widget hasn't pulled any updates since January 29th. I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.
My happenings are updating really slow or not updating at all. The Android Market is only displaying 5 apps or so on every category. I've uninstalled the market update and still no luck. I have done so many factory resets that I don't know what do to do any longer? I have created numerous accounts and that doesn't help at all either.
Starting Sunday evening Tweetdeck kept force-closing on me before I could make a post. I was still able to use Twitter's official mobile app & Facebook's official mobile app. By 5pm last night (Monday/Halloween) NONE of the social network apps were working. This included Tweetdeck, Twitter official, Facebook official, Hoot Suite, Google+, AND even when I accessed Twitter's normal site via browser. I've turned the phone on & off several times and that hasn't done anything.
When I go to setting>About Phone>System Updates, it replied with "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later". I lasted for a month until now.
My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.
I live in Panama, and I use Telefonica services.Currently I have two accounts already set up on my phone, one is hotmail and the other of my university where I live.I want to add a new email account at Setup-Email Settings and it send me to the page = if you want to access your email settings or you changed your device log in. how can I add a new email account?
Unable to receive incoming email to 1 email account on BB Curve 9330. tried several times Sprint support on phone and at store. Able to send emails from that email but it shows only on desktop. Other email accounts are running just fine.
Yesterday I have added my Facebook and Linked in accounts in Social Hub. I thought it was like an app or somekind. All I saw was updates from my FB home page. I cant do anything else other than seeing all those updates. I mean I can upload any photos or videos, I understood that its not an app kind but something else. Now, how do I remove/delete those two accounts from that social hub. Couldn't see any options available? Also noticed in other forums that once if we delete that account it cannot be added again coz of SNS feed issues?
How do I backup or copy an email account or individual emails from a former employer on my iPhone 5s. I can open the emails, but don't have access to the server - just messages on iPhone.Â
i cannot add another email account when i go to email set up it tells me 'if you want to access your email settings or you changed your device, log in.' it doesnt give me the option to add another account.
Lets say if I have a new email i would like to use and would like to delete the old one off my iphone but it has all of my contacts on it, how do i transfer those contacts, notes, and calendars, to the new email account?
keep in mind that if i delete the email acount with the contacts, the contacts will no longer be on my phone as well as the notes. is there a way for me to transfer the contacts from the old email account to the new one so i can remove the old email account? too much spam.
I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).
I recently changed my primary e-mail acct from AOL to GMAIL. I wanted to change the password for AOL on my Curve 8530 and when it asked me to verify it kept telling me my password is invalid. Tried deleting & adding AOL back ... still getting the "password invalid" message.
Until last week, I was able to access emails from my own domain without any problems but I had to perform a device wipe and now i am unable to add this account - the email setup produces the error "unable to your password or email address"
My wife has a Curve 9300 and was getting app error 603 with the white screen. I tried to fix the problem by installing the latest updates including the newest OS 6.0.0.666. This seems to have solved the app error but now I can't set up our email account!
Originally, under set up, the email icon was there but when highlighted and selected nothing happened. I tried restoring the device and now my email account appears but does not work and when I went back to the set up there is no icon for email accounts.
I want to add a new email-acount to my Blackberry 8310. Following the instructions I did it with the installation wizard. I found the option "installing email". Pressing these, I only can choose the options:
1. 'I want to install an account with the BB Enterprise Server' and 2. 'I want to quit with installing email'.The option 'I want to create or add a new account' doesn't appear. Does anyone know how to resolve this and how I could add a new email account?
I have a feeling it has to do with a new email account that I added. I deleted the email account but still nothing. When I view my call logs I can see some of my old contacts.
