I installed a emergency call widget on my phone, but when I press on it, instead of dialing the 911 number, the cell gives me all the phone numbers in my contacts that have the "911" sequence in it. Then I must choose between those the one I want to call. How can I bypass that and have it dialing right away 911?
View 1 RepliesI have a my Defy & XT and as of 9:22 am the weather widget hasn't udated and I've turned the phone off and on etc and then I deleted my location and tried to readd it and it said something like.. location information cannot be found (not sure off hand).. I don't know what to do but it won't let me add any loactions but apps from the market work.

Could see the different clocks in 2.1 and then select. But not in 2.2.2. You just select digital and see if it appears on the screen after stepping out of this settingsBut despite selecting digital, after revisiting the settings box, it still shows analogue - it should show digital since I selected digitalOn the screen the digital time & date widget shows up with time (top part: time side is ok) but with date (bottom part), this part shows the entire calendar with the highlight on present date. Funny aspect is that earlier at the first ever initial time I selected this widget, it showed up with the date i.e., with bigger matching font size to time (top: time , bottom: date) but later it stuck to the entire month-calendar format as mentioned above. After this the widget screen size also remained unchangeable. This widget can't be resized. It could be resized in 2.1 with your format in mind.
Its stuck on this:I just want to see the date and time (3:44pm 15 Nov Mon) and not the entire month-calendar ... ideally this should go away once the widget is resized.Its quite surprising to see 2.2 behave so .. for a lack of better word .. buggish. I did the bit where you switch off the phone, remove the battery and fit it back and restart, but this didn't do much.Update:Got this widget to resize by fluke when I tried to insert another application on the home screen and so I have managed to at least get the widget to become smaller, albeit in the 'vertical stack' form. That means this widget gets resized only when another application's insert 'forces' it to resize but only in this form .. something is better than nothing I guess BUT AM LOOKING FOR THIS WIDTH & 'HORIZONTAL' FIT AS PER THE PIC BELOW [was easily possible in the stock Android 2.1]ndo Screen-Lock:I was able to undo the screen-lock in 2.1 ... any advice on how I can get the Defy to open straight on the home menu screen without having to go thru the 'unlock screen swipe' in 2.2.2?
This just started happening after the upgrade to froyo. I get a lot of texts from one person, and they were always displayed in the messaging widget before the upgrade. Now they only appear in the notification bar. Have tried deleting the conversation to start over but no change.

Currently there lots of tears in internets about SN-Widget and how bad/random its synching with Facebook, there also some workarounds but i would love to get an answer from any Officials.My workaround: was uninstalling the update for Social Networks app and after reboot its synched my FB stuff perfectly, but when Blur-updater(see task-manager) installed it again the widget stopped synching anything from FB.Its works also random with Twitter - actualy its shows you your status update but not the tweets you fallow.

Really a shame as I was looking forward to accessing my Synology diskserver from my phone. Other than that - LOVE the Turbo. have not had any problems with it since I got it last November. Even traded in my wife's second gen Moto-X that seemed to have all kinds of problems for a 2nd Turbo for her. How to get DS File working in Turbo?

I found instrustions to call to an emergency when if we have screen lock password but what if we have not set the password. We still need to call faster than we unlock screen, go to calls, dial the number and press call buttom. Its quite long process.

Its actually random. Sometimes when a call comes, i am not able to pick it up. The touch simply wont work. Then i have to cut the call using the power button and call them back.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have had to reset my phone using the factory reset option after it started doing some strange things. This is the second time I have had problems - the first after installing a few apps (only 2 - a free pool game and a free solitaire game), the second was after my niece surfed some possibly suss sites looking for Santa jokes! It may also have been installed apps causing the problems - I installed the app for the NSW Live Traffic.
So now, as soon as I make/dial/place a call (hit the green phone), the screen closes or goes black, and I have to press the power button to reactivate the screen. If I do this quickly, the actual screen lock has not yet activated, but if I do it after a few seconds I also need to swipe.
I cannot locate any setting which seems to be causing this. Last time I factory reset the phone, I didn't get this issue, so it may be something which is still installed which is causing the problem. I have tried uninstalling the NSW Live Traffic app plus anything else which wasn't part of the phone's operating system.
When making a call with my Defy, when i tap the send button a redish LED light flashes at the top left of the front screen.

The phone app freezes on my device, I cannot receive the call. Long clicking on the power button and toggling the Silent option the phone app crashes.Are there others having this issue? I received a new bluetooth for Christmas to go with my Defy with Motoblur (a canadian phone) and the Voice Dialler sucks plus the bluetooth instructions are just as bad.It say to refer to your phone's usual manual.So, I would like to know how I can make a call from my bluetooth handsfree using the phone.Based on an older phone I could add a voice tag to each contact and then use that on the bluetooth.This phone doesn't seem to have that option.(It all seems to work fine if I am dialling directly from the phone once the ringing starts.But this is all pointeless as far as I am concerned. How can you be handsfree when your hands are required?)
The phone is running on the Android version 1.5 since Motorola didn't come out with an update on my phone and getting a new one isn't an option.Maybe there is an app in the market place that might work. (I can't even use Google Play because the phone version was not updated)
I am running 2.1 and my phone ringer stopped working a few days. No changes to the phone, or new application, or physical damage. The symptom is incoming calls vibrate, but don't ring. If I check the ringtone by selecting a different tone, it plays Ok. Volume is fine also, set for independent control for incoming volume and phone ring. I have tried power cycling, removing the battery, checking my settings, and calling from different numbers (different ring tones).

The GPS was not working but there was an error messge like "No GPS signal, you should go outside" or something like that.I was already outside and waited about 10 mins for GPS to get a fix (typically the a-GPS find the location in seconds). It did not get a fix at all and I ended the emergency call. Immediately after that the GPS started to work. So I called to the emergency number (112) once again. But he GPS location was lost when I called and worked again when I ended the call. So it seems that the GPS of the phone is not working while doing an emergency call!
I just wanted to inform everybody that in case of emergency, don't waste your time trying to get a GPS fix while making an emergency call.Anyone knows if this is a known limitation or a bug?
I bought a 3G from the US, which came locked of course. It's on the emergency call screen. The phone was running 4.0.1 as I was told by the seller.
I've tried Redsn0w but using 4.0 as all the tutorials state, no dice. I've tried making a 4.0 firmware in pwnage tool, no dice, iTunes doesn't like me going backwards on the firmware builds.
What are my options? Even if I could get the past activation I could log into safari and get wireless and then go to the unlock website in safari.
Suddengly my LG G3 shows full signal (T Mobile) but Not able to make any call. Always says emergency call only.
Tried factory reset. The sim is working in another mobile. Tried different sim in the LG G3 but not working. The phone didn't fall anywhere. phone works through wifi perfectly.

I've somehow managed to make several 911 calls by accidentally pocket-dialing off the lock-screen. Is it possible to disable this? Once the lock screen (with PIN) comes up, the emergency call button is fairly prominent.
I'm trying Hidden Lock now and it does allow me to remove the emergency call button entirely, but after unlocking, I still have to slide to unlock (so it's a double-action to unlock from the PIN).
This annoying feature is on the lock screen, left of Alternative Password. I put my phone in my pant pocket throughout the day, and accidentally make at least 2 emergency calls per day. I have tried to delete all contacts in my emergency group, but somehow it manages to randomly read them.
Is there a way to disable this feature altogether like unchecking the camera on the lock screen?

I have this problem with my Iphone4 on IOS7.1.1. One fine day without i realize my kid played with the phone while in the locked mode. Since i know the phone is locked, i didn't bother to look what they were doing. Now I realize the potential problem, that when they play with the phone they started to click on emergency button and started to press random number on the keypad. Last month billed it start to hit my pocket. Below picture some of the number that were made.Â

I want to get this iphone up and running with a tmobile card that I bought to start with and go from there. View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues.  When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked".  I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have.  I have called Sony and they could not provide a code.  I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

The phone is there but all I can do is make an emergency call without first entering the lock code. Is this how it should be? Also, when charging I read that at the bottom of the screen it should tell you how much time left to charge. How can I make it happen?
