Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. Nokia, you're winding me up.
I have an interesting problem with my N8 (this is an up to date phone, no hacking, no CFW).I have removed the Nokia Social App widget from the second screen, than I wanted to put them back again. Ohhh... I can't find the Social App widget in the widget list. I don't know why because I never hacked my phone, I download apps only from the store, etc... I am a little disappointed guys :
I have uninstalled the Social App and the widget app from the applications. I ran a software update check, which show me the Social App to download, it is ok, it was reinstall successfully, but... where is the widget for the Social app?So how can I reinstall the Nokia Social App widget again? Where can I download it?
I tried to log in to facebook direct on the web and my phone told me I had to install an update. I pressed ok but it then told me I had too many things open and to go close some. I went and closed some but when I got back to the page it said it had aborted the update. I then went back to my homescreen and the widget had disappeared!
i have accidentally removed my preset social widget in nokia n8. I donot like the widgets in updated versions. After factory reset a message displayed ...error occurred widget removed. How can i get back to previous version?
I factory resoted my phone and then I installed the updates but the social update keeps giving me an error about update failed. I have tried to factory resore my phone again and its the same thing. I even downloaded and tried to install it manually but it gives me a unable to install error message.
I Just received a brand new Atrix 2 today and everything has been lovely so far, but the social networking app refuses to cooporate or get off the ground at all. I will open up the app to see this after I have entered all my account info:

Finally, If I try to edit my account info the account menu, I see the following two fields, which I cannot edit, which is followed by this message after hitting ok:
I have re-entered the information several times, restarted the device several times, and all my data delivery options have been clicked or unclicked during several trials. The apps accompanying widgets only option is to "add a social network" not unlike the first screencap.
Anyone else using the social networking widget notice that after viewing a bunch of items (typically tweets or facebook updates) they frequently show up again the next time I look for new entries? Most of the time it works as expected - items show up until I view them once, then no longer. Too often though I have to scroll through a bunch of updates multiple times
I updated my n8 "social" to ver 1.5.215....... I really HATE it. Completly useless (used to roll all updates automatic on my start screen, now there is a white **bleep** bar i have to click on) also ( twitter and facebook in same bar )
SO anyone know how i roll back to the good old ver.
All of sudden this message is popping up "Sorry please uninstall and reinstall communities" whenever i tried to access the facebook or click the "Social Network" button in address book.Tried reinstalling the firmware, uninstalling the app & reinstalling. Nothing works. I saw previous posting regarding this, but no helpful reply from Nokia. Expecting more support from Nokia rather than being ignorant.
I use my Social app & widget frequently throughout the day. A few hours ago it forced me to download version 1.3 and when it went through the install process it said "Unable to Install. "I still cannot access the social app without the forced upgrade and the upgrade keeps failing.I've also tried updating with software updates and it is not showing up.In addition I downloaded it on my PC, transferred it to my N8 and attempted a reboot and install, still "unable to install."
a few months ago,i'd updated my c6-01 to nokia belle, but a few days after that I found my social app saying unable to start.....and my ovi music store is not working.

My phone recently decided that it was going to label the social widget in french but nothing else. It doesn't changed anything else into french though, and as far as I can tell doesn't cause any other issues, it's mostly just annoying. I have already tried rebooting the phone and nothing changed.
couple of weeks ago i started having issues with the social networking (and perhaps messaging) widgets. I see there is a new message on the widget and when I click it all the panels are Loading with blank info, when I go back and it says there are no recent unseen updates and I click on it and see all updates I can see all of them however any pictures will not load as well.everything is else is working good. I tried factory reset and few other suggestions from around this forum with no luck. the only thing I didn't try yet is a new blur account.
I have the Social network widget on one of my home pages (post 2.3.4 upgrade). At first, it worked fine, but as of this morning, it force closes evertime I open it and attempt to scroll the messages. The "Messages" Widget continues to work fine.
I've tried removing and re-installing accounts, removing and re-installing the widget, and changing widget settings. I even tried to go to Settings>applications>manage applications to try and clear the data and cache, but thos buttone are not enables for the Social networing app.
I just bought an Electrify, and i have been unable to add any accounts to the social networking widget. I go to add an account to it, and i select facebook, and i enter my email and pass, and then it loads for a little bit, then i come to another screen where my password is already entered, but the email box is greyed out, and it wont let me go any further until i enter an email, but since the box is greyed out i cant do anything.
My Social Networking widget hasn't pulled any updates since January 29th. I've deleted the widget and reinstalled, changed all settings, even logged into FB and changed/updated the App settings there. Is there a MOTOBLUR outage? I'm also wondering if there is an incompatablity with Timeline, as ever since I can't see comments or likes on my status via my Social Status widget.
Well just wonder if there some Devs here to get any word on Motoblur/Social widget stuck. Currently there lots of tears in internets about SN-Widget and how bad/random its synching with Facebook, there also some workarounds but i would love to get an answer from any Officials.My workaround: was uninstalling the update for Social Networks app and after reboot its synched my FB stuff perfectly, but when Blur-updater(see task-manager) installed it again the widget stopped synching anything from FB.Its works also random with Twitter - actualy its shows you your status update but not the tweets you fallow.
Social Networking Widget no longer working. When trying to update the Facebook service for the widget it says the password is incorrect. I delete the password, reenter it, it says: Updating Facebook service. The progress bar loads halfway and then says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I then removed the account and readded it. I rentered my email address and password. The progress bar loads 1/3 of the way and it says: Adding your Facebook account. After that, it says Internal server error occurred. Please try again. I've tried turning the phone of and then turning it back on. I've also taken the battery out and done it that way. Still same result.
3 days ago my news feeds stop loading, updated app in social, in ovi suite updated ovi social, can connect to facebook on mobile via internet all works ok, through social i can see everything else but not updated, i posted to see a current log..social app said cannot connect to feeds, yet the message had been sent to facebook, i can see it through pc?
Two moths ago, there was an update to nokia chat. I've installed it, but afer that nokia chat ceased to function. When I entered it, it just said "Service temporarily unavailable.lease try later". Same thing happened with Social. I hoped that this would get solved with symbian anna, but it didn't. Now, when i enter the app, only the loading screen appears, the one with welcome to ovi, an then nothing. It just exits the app. Note that I uninstalled and reinstalled these apps many, many times, but still, they do not work.
Two days ago, my social widget, which I had configured to just synch twitter, stopped updating. I've tried battery pull, and trashing the widget, and setting it up again.
I use the mail widget on my N8 which I never switch off, only turning it to "battery saving" at night. I notice that every 2 or 3 days, the widget does not launch the mail app anymore when I tap it. Power on/off cycle resumes correct behavior.I am currently trying to find if anything special might trigger the bug, but did not find anything so far.
