Motorola Xoom :: Email And Calendar Widget Not Updating Until Reboot
Jan 6, 2012I have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.

Switched to the default calendar widget after 3.1 arrived to allow resizing of widgets. widget syncs the calendars okay but the date at the top of the widget never changes, stays on the install date. calendar app works fine, widget is static.stock, non rooted 3.1

Jun 8, 2012I've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.

Jun 9, 2011The stock Motorola Widgets/Weather widget has taken a nosedive since the OTA Gingerbread update hit my Droid X. The stock widget uses Accuweather.com data and it always previously behaved correctly with Froyo.
The problem I'm facing is that even though the Current Location/Show current location on widget green box is checked, the "current location" doesn't automatically update as I travel from town to town, as it used to do with Froyo.
I have the Settings/Location & security/Google location services green box checked. I have the Settings/Location & security/Standalone GPS services and VZW location services grey boxes unchecked.
Motorola Xoom :: Gmail Widget Will Not Respond
Aug 15, 2011After cleaning up my download folder I notice that when I try to tap a email on the gmail widget the screen turns dark and just sits there. It will no longer open gmail and let me read the mail but if I open gmail using the app it works fine. I have also notice this with some of the downloads within the email app but not through the gallery.

Sep 27, 2011I have the tasks widget on one of my homescreens and it would be great if it worked properly. Anything I create a tasks, it doesn't show up in the widget unless I go to the widget settings and change which tasks are viewed (I normally leave it on all tasks). If I complete a tasks and it was in the widget, it's not removed from the widget unless I manually refresh it. If I try to delete the widget, the tasks process force closes.I can create tasks and get reminders and everything just fine, but they just don't show up in the widget properly.

Jan 19, 2012Running ICS on Xoom Wifi. When creating a photo gallery widget, and selecting a single image, then go to crop, it seems to freeze the tablet on Saving Picture... prompt. Touching the controls icons won't do anything, just blank screen.I have to wait for a few, then the launcher freeze popup saying wait/report/stop. When creating photo gallery widget from album or shuffle, it works. It just doesn't work with single image. I think this is a bug, repeatable with any images.if I have space left, it says 28.11 GB free.

Aug 18, 2011The owner's guide says to tap the widget until vibration, then drag corner to new size. All that happens for me is that the calendar wants to move to a new position. On one attempt, the widget went into the trash. When I re-installed the widget, it came back in half its previous size (now 2x2 where it was 4x2). I cannot resize this widget either.

It brings up the configuration screen, but it refuses to add it to my homescreen, even if I try it on an entirely blank homescreen. Mine seems to hang at night (seemingly about 20min after I plug it in for charging) and stays on yesterdays date and time until somehow it corrects itself the next day. There is no way to "activate it" or make it correct itself. All other clocks and calendars are correct.

It finally cleared to installed after reinstalling Dungeon Defenders three times. Could not uninstall Dungeon Defenders while trying to clear the app from the update list. Just kept reinstalling. Finally stopped showing on update list. App started normally and ran afterwards. Same thing with Angry Birds this morning. Still not off Update app list.
