View 8 RepliesHas anyone else received an OTA to Android 4.1.2 for their Xoom Wifi only? I got the update on Friday but did not receive an invite to a soak test so I believe that this update was an update to all US Xoom WiFi tablets.

It happened while updating Dungeon Defenders yesterday. It finally cleared to installed after reinstalling Dungeon Defenders three times. Could not uninstall Dungeon Defenders while trying to clear the app from the update list. Just kept reinstalling. Finally stopped showing on update list. App started normally and ran afterwards. Same thing with Angry Birds this morning. Still not off Update app list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to update my profile since I saw the message that they had separated the tablets from the phones. Not quite. They still require you to enter a serial number for your phone or you can't save the profile.Even though I'm not using a Motorola phone.I put the tablet serial number in there and it took it. So I put the tablet serial number two places. No harm done just irritating. If they aren't any smarter than this that they can't even organize a logical personal info sheet where the entries pertain to what you are entering info about ... what kind of stuff are they making?Incompetence really torques my jawInfo sheets for phone users should be COMPLETELY SEPARATE from info sheets for TABLET users, not combined
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem where the email widget is not updating except when I reboot. the email is working and syncing but the widget itself is not showing the new mail. The gmail one is working fine. Also the calender widget does not change dates until reboot. If all else fails Reset I guess but I am trying to avoid that. I have a Canadian Xoom running Android 3.2 no Root.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhy is this not happening for the Xoom? For a device of this caliber it is a no brainer, but yet it doesn't exist. Without using alternative measures is anything in the works from Motorola or Google? I'm not really interested in a manager that dictates my device like iTunes does, but more along the lines of a system image creator/restorer.
View 7 Replies View RelatedEvery morning the Dolphin browser pops up a message about backing up bookmarks to the SD card and asks if I want to have a try. It mentions backing up to the SD card and since there is no SD card in the Xoom ( although they call memory SD card ), are they talking about backing up to an actual SD card or are they referring to what shows in the Xoom as sdcard?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the process of preparing my Xoom for its return to Motorola for an LTE upgrade, I attempted to backup up "Internal Storage" to two different Windows XP machines. Despite numerous hard resets of the Xoom and numerous restarts of the XP machines, I had numerous problems in successfully copying all files. Despite selecting all folders, less than half would transfer during copy/paste. At least one file name in the "Android" folder was too long for Windows XP, but I didn't have time to find it(them). Moreover, 14gb of files disappeared from my external SD card, as did several folders from the internal SD card. I am an above-average computer user, and have never had this kind of trouble
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am following the instructions to copy the files from my xoom to a windows 7 PC (64 bit). It does not copy all the files and folders. For example when I do the select all instructed I only get 4 of the 13GB of data. I saw that it only copied the music files in the directory music, none of the sub-directories. I could then select all the folders in music and copy them over (none of my music on the xoom has any DRM). I was still missing some files. When I hook the xoom up via the USB cable I get the following mounted:
ComputerXoomInternal Storage
I can not drag Internal Storage to the folder created on the windows 7 pc, it is just a red circle with a line thru it. I can select all the directories/folders under Internal Storage, but it randomly picks which directories/files/sub-directories to copy.
Perhaps a problem with the win 7 pc driver?
Before I send the xoom off (and I have my packing box already) I would like to back it up completely.
I have Vista on my desktop computer. I see Xoom under "My Computer", I found "Device Storage" and started copying the files from Xoom to a new folder. All of a sudden Vista stopped copying the folders and daid it can't read from the device.ow after updating the drivers with Download Motorola 5.2.0 Driver with MotoHelper* , checking to see if USB Debugging is unchecked and pulling my hair out, there is no Device Storage displaying to access. My Xoom shows under "My Computer" but then after double clikcing to access the Xoom, it's empty..

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan I feel safe sending credit card numbers on my Xoom using a 3G connection? What about paying bills? I use a billpay service and would like to access it on my Xoom while away from home. Should I?Last week I was away from home and wanted to buy books from Barnes and Noble to read on my Xoom. They gladly took my credit card number but when I tried to enter a gift card number that I had received they said I had to wait until I could send it "from a desktop".

Is there an app that can tell me what apps on my XOOM are using data? I just got my XOOM back from the 4G upgrade, and the data use has shot through the roof.Literally, I drove 15 minutes down the road today and used 250mb of data. I was connected to my Wi-Fi network at home, then obviously my XOOM would have connected to 4G once I was out of range.I have the same widgets and settings as before the upgrade, and I literally just can't make sense of 250mb in 15 minutes. It's nuts, when I rarely use more than 750mb on my data plan, per month

Well, if just in case, the motoactv.com platform stops operating, how can we backup our training workouts data?
I know other company has software for users to install in the PCs so that they can transfer their workouts data from their devices to their PCs. However, motoactv does not offer this kind of software.
I find there is "export" button in motoactv.com. However, for the four kinds of format we can choose, "KML, TCX, GPX (route data), CSV", I really don't know how to use and view them. May I ask anybody who can teach me here?
Well, the only thing I can think of is there is a workout summary in the motoactv. It already give us much information of our workouts except the Zone data. Perhaps we can transfer those data to our record manually. However, I really hope that there should be a much better solution.
Verizon Wireless now has a really good hotspot tethering plan for 4G phones. For $30/mo you get unlimited 4G tethering on your phone which is a bargain compared to the tablet plans especially considering 4G is 10x the 3G speeds. It makes we want to run out now and get a Samsung Charge so I can drop my 3gB Xoom plan. I'm going to stick with my Xoom data for now and hold out a three or four weeks for the Bionic. Hopefully Verizon won't change this offer before the Bionic comes out.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow to delete unwanted picture data from gallery (XOOM) It's not that simple, in this case. I recently discovered somehow I had downloaded over 490 images into my gallery. Some 21 say Blogger pictures, and 459 are entitled from my Wordpress blog. I don't have a clue how they got on my tablet, and there are many duplicates. The option to delete was not there, just a bunch of places to send the pictures to: Picassa, Gmail, email, etc.
Go to Settings > Applications>Manage Applications > All, and scroll down to find Gallery. Tap to open it up, do a Force Stop first, if open. Then tap Clear Data. I only had 12 pictures on my tablet at this point so I emailed them all to myself, in the event they went poof. Then I held my breath, hit Clear Data, then went in and looked at my Gallery. The downloaded data was gone, all 490+ pictures, and the best part is, my pictures were still there! Those, I can delete from the Xoom, no problem.
Next, I went back into my Gallery, and to my dismay, right before my eyes, those 490+ pictures that were gone, began reloading back into my gallery! Where are they coming from?!?! 21 of them say Blogger Photos, and 459 are entitled "Stella's Blog". I don't have either app on my tablet, I can access either blog by using my browser, and have only done so a couple times. Next, I rebooted the tablet, went back to check the Gallery, and yes, the images were gone, but then they came right back again....where are they coming from and how do I get rid of them permanently?
Ever since I got my Xoom back from the 4G upgrade I have a problem with no internet access and generally a restart seems to wake it up. is anyone else experiencing thisIt might be my routine combined with geographic locations at specific times (e.g., commutting.)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI found most application available on the Market gives the ability to backup installed applications data only if the phone is rooted (what is not allowed in case of Motorola phones :-P). I used the My Backup before I factory reset the phone, however after restoration I lost my levels achived in Angry Birds and in Bubble Bang (it was over 300 levels, I spent couple weeks on some of them). My Backup handled data only from Note Everything.
Who know the backup application which can backup my games with my achievments to the SD card without rooting the phone?
I have a Motorola RAZR v3xx. Until about a week ago I could charge it from either a wall charger or USB port. Now it will not take a charge from either. It will power up when connected to a power source, but the low battery message stays on and it beeps. This is a good reminder that I'd like to back up my data in case my phone is ever lost or it breaks.
