Can I feel safe sending credit card numbers on my Xoom using a 3G connection? What about paying bills? I use a billpay service and would like to access it on my Xoom while away from home. Should I?Last week I was away from home and wanted to buy books from Barnes and Noble to read on my Xoom. They gladly took my credit card number but when I tried to enter a gift card number that I had received they said I had to wait until I could send it "from a desktop".

This is something I haven't run across before. I left work Friday phone was connected to our wifi no problem. Over the weekend the Bionic was on/off my home wifi without issue.
I come into the office this morning and wifi connects to the work wifi. The only data I get is LAN network so my exchange email and can access any device via my browser. It shows I have an IP address and everything but I can't get any data connection to the outside world unless I turn off wifi. So the wifi icon is on but it's grey instead of the blue like it should be.
I've cleared all my saved networks in my phone, pulled the battery, 4G sim. Only thing I haven't done is reset the phone. Going to test the wifi when I get home.
None of this makes sense why it connects to the APs, gets an IP and I can get internal LAN access but not external. I have other Android, iOS, laptops, etc all working fine.

Is there an app that can tell me what apps on my XOOM are using data? I just got my XOOM back from the 4G upgrade, and the data use has shot through the roof.Literally, I drove 15 minutes down the road today and used 250mb of data. I was connected to my Wi-Fi network at home, then obviously my XOOM would have connected to 4G once I was out of range.I have the same widgets and settings as before the upgrade, and I literally just can't make sense of 250mb in 15 minutes. It's nuts, when I rarely use more than 750mb on my data plan, per month

They recieved it on the 6th and on the 7th and 8th it was being used. I have a 1 GB plan. My question to matt is if they are using my GB to test it (or perhaps checking their facebook account and downloading ***) am I going to get billed for that usage and the overcharges. Verizon Wireless now has a really good hotspot tethering plan for 4G phones. For $30/mo you get unlimited 4G tethering on your phone which is a bargain compared to the tablet plans especially considering 4G is 10x the 3G speeds.It makes we want to run out now and get a Samsung Charge so I can drop my 3gB Xoom plan. I'm going to stick with my Xoom data for now and hold out a three or four weeks for the Bionic. Hopefully Verizon won't change this offer before the Bionic comes out.

How to delete unwanted picture data from gallery (XOOM) It's not that simple, in this case. I recently discovered somehow I had downloaded over 490 images into my gallery. Some 21 say Blogger pictures, and 459 are entitled from my Wordpress blog. I don't have a clue how they got on my tablet, and there are many duplicates. The option to delete was not there, just a bunch of places to send the pictures to: Picassa, Gmail, email, etc.
Go to Settings > Applications>Manage Applications > All, and scroll down to find Gallery. Tap to open it up, do a Force Stop first, if open. Then tap Clear Data. I only had 12 pictures on my tablet at this point so I emailed them all to myself, in the event they went poof. Then I held my breath, hit Clear Data, then went in and looked at my Gallery. The downloaded data was gone, all 490+ pictures, and the best part is, my pictures were still there! Those, I can delete from the Xoom, no problem.
Next, I went back into my Gallery, and to my dismay, right before my eyes, those 490+ pictures that were gone, began reloading back into my gallery! Where are they coming from?!?! 21 of them say Blogger Photos, and 459 are entitled "Stella's Blog". I don't have either app on my tablet, I can access either blog by using my browser, and have only done so a couple times. Next, I rebooted the tablet, went back to check the Gallery, and yes, the images were gone, but then they came right back again....where are they coming from and how do I get rid of them permanently?

Got the Torch today only to find that the duration of the touch tone transmitted after call connection is incredible short. You hear the tone for the duration that you press the button (soft or hard keyboard) but the transmitted duration is only a few tenths of a second. AT&T says that RIM sez that the transmitted duration should be as long as you hold the button and to return the phone for another one but I am skeptical. With the short duration I am unable to control a remote access system. how to increase the transmitter tone duration?

Just curious... I have my lock screen enabled (with numbers, not pattern). If my phone were to get lost or stolen, how hard is it for someone to bypass the lock screen? I was looking around on google and it looked like there were some issues in the past with the ease of bypassing it, but couldn't find if it has since been resolved with Froyo and beyond (left the phone at home, so can't test).If the built in password functionality is bogus, can you recommend any apps that you all like and are impossible to crack (or at least thug proof if I were to get robbed on the subway)? I'm really not interest in apps that locak individual applications, just the overall phone.

I bought the device few days ago and on very same day updated to Android ver. 3.2. I use internet over my home Wifi and have a Netgear - WGR614 router. The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? Would i be able to reset the tab to the original version?

My triumph will not connect to my (secure) home network. It seems at first to recognize the SSID, and the password, and it appears in the list as "connecting..." then flips to "Disabled, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK."I have easily connected other wireless devices to my network, any ideas about the Triumph?

Has anyone had any success with using Wifi that required user certificates? I'm trying to get my Xoom to connect to the corporate network (EAP-TLS) and followed the instructions for the IPad and imported my certificated into Android correctly. But when I connect, it hangs at the connecting state for minutes, before finally giving up.

I finished my first indoor run today and the run data on the motoactv device and treadmill don't match. I completed my workout and came home and synced my data.
