Ever since I got my Xoom back from the 4G upgrade I have a problem with no internet access and generally a restart seems to wake it up. is anyone else experiencing thisIt might be my routine combined with geographic locations at specific times (e.g., commutting.)
View 2 RepliesMy 3G XOOM (MZ601) is having a small issue since the 3.2 upgrade that if i have the XOOM at home connected to my WiFi, then take it out with me, it refuses to connect/switch to my Mobile network without a restart. Once I have done this it works fine, but it's a bit of a pain having to turn it off and on again every time I leave the house.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI went to update my profile since I saw the message that they had separated the tablets from the phones.Not quite.They still require you to enter a serial number for your phone or you can't save the profile.Even though I'm not using a Motorola phone.I put the tablet serial number in there and it took it. So I put the tablet serial number two places.No harm done just irritating.If they aren't any smarter than this that they can't even organize a logical personal info sheet where the entries pertain to what you are entering info about ... what kind of stuff are they making?Incompetence really torques my jawInfo sheets for phone users should be COMPLETELY SEPARATE from info sheets for TABLET users, not combined

I thought I could use it anywhere I want using the orange/t-mobile signal, but apparently I need to be within 300 ft of a router, or in a wi-fi hotspot zone. View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently got my S5 and my data connectivity has stopped working after I took a flight. I had enabled flight mode on and turned it off when I landed. I'm still in the same country. Before this, I used to only be able to connect to H+ but I'm positive that my data was set to enable 4G LTE. My SIM card works on my old S3 and 4G LTE is being used. I'm not sure what's going on, I've tried resetting my phone a bunch of times and playing with the settings.

View 15 Replies View RelatedHave a wifi 3g xoom with android 3.2 and a 16g msd card. When I try to connect to my nikon Coolpix p100 the camera comes on and the xoom shows loading but no photos from the camera ever show up. The Gallery only shows the photos taken with the xoom not the nikon. The p100 documentation indicates ptp is supported but that alternative does not show up on any menu and i have searched and searched for a way to find ptp in any menu on the Nikon p100. Using the Motorola camera connection cable i bought at Best Buy.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iphone mail app regularly requires restart to get mail flowing. That is it is running (doesn't crash) but will at time just stop getting email updates. I then have to force close the mail app (i.e. kill it) and then restart it. After restarting it the mail flows again.
Notes:
a) I do connect to Gmail for my mail - I'm using the IMAP facility for gmail currently (i.e. not the "Exchange" method)
b) I do also have the Google "Gmail" app running on my device too
c) on iPhone 3GS, latest version of IOS

My new Xoom doesn't find any WiFi network. Where I am currently, there are at least three networks in reach, one of them is completely open. Neither of them shows up on the list of available networks.
If I set up mobile hotspot on Xoom, I can connect other devices via WiFi to Xoom, which leads me to believe hardware is ok.

does anyone know how to diable to Twonkey app? That by far has to be the most annoying app of all time. If I click on a video to watch, that dosent mean that I want to automatically stream to my network and TV....that is rediculious! Little help, does anyone know how to disable or ot delete it? (Subway, B1 floor etc.) Here is the thing; every time, when the device loose network or catch back, it on the screen (like as tap power button) and wait 2 minutes (which is my set) then screen goes off. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 6 week old ZOOM WiFi which in the last week has started to endlessly reboot when attempting to connect to my home network. It stops rebooting when Wi-Fi is turned off. When WiFi is turned back on, the rebooting starts again. Before I realised what was causing the reboot, I restored it to factory settings, and this seemed to work for a few days. No apps have been downloaded since then. I have tried a soft reboot without success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom post upgrade to 4G is now assigning the IP address of 192.168.20.1 to the device usb1 everytime it is rebooted. This apparently hardwired configuration conflicts with my homenetwork's default gateway.Is there anyway to change this with out rooting the device? I would rather not have to re-IP my home network or not be able to connect to any network via Wifi who uses that IP address as a default gateway.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI prefer to hide my wireless SSID but when I do this my android devices don't see the network. Even if I am already connected with my Xoom then switch to hidden SSID mode the Xoom disconnects. Same for my HTC Thunderbolt. My network is shown in the list of remembered networks as out of range. When in hidden mode. This does not affect my laptops.
They stay connected if I switch to hidden mode and they have a setting to connect to hidden networks that have previously been configured. I cannot find a setting for hidden network support on either android device. Hiding the SSID is not a new concept. Is this not supported in the android network stack? I have a strong random PW on my wifi so I am not terribly worried about it but I would be nice to have the option.
is there a way to easily toggle 3g data on or off rather that throughsettings/networks etc ?
