View 2 Repliesit was locked to the network Orange here in spain, the seller before giving it to me got it unlocked.but it doesnt not work with any other network except Orange.have tried (Vodafone,Movistar) also another t-mobile sim from germany... all give me the insert sim card(SOS) error. have checked in the options (MEPD)and all the options are disactivated, so looks like its unlocked correctly... and when i use it with a Orange sim(Original carrier) it works perfect.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to cut to the chase and ask: how can I natively insert accented characters (á,à ,ç,ê and so on) while using the bluetooth keyboard? I've managed to do that by using the Swifkey X for tablets, which predicts words and inserts them automatically. However, it is nothing but a coincidence.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSeal was an Amazon free app of the day that I downloaded a few days ago. I really don't think I installed it! However, the next thing I know, it's been installed and for many Xoom functions, it wants me to draw a pattern in the dots like the start-up screen. My normal start-up pattern doesn't work, and after I put in the wrong pattern a few times, it asked for my "favorite Vegas game." I tried answering the only Vegas games I know (my true favorite is Ski-Ball, what's yours?), but none of them worked. It lets me do this as long as I have patience, which is to say not much longer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new Xoom doesn't find any WiFi network. Where I am currently, there are at least three networks in reach, one of them is completely open. Neither of them shows up on the list of available networks.
If I set up mobile hotspot on Xoom, I can connect other devices via WiFi to Xoom, which leads me to believe hardware is ok.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 3G XOOM (MZ601) is having a small issue since the 3.2 upgrade that if i have the XOOM at home connected to my WiFi, then take it out with me, it refuses to connect/switch to my Mobile network without a restart. Once I have done this it works fine, but it's a bit of a pain having to turn it off and on again every time I leave the house.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T GoPhone account. When the phone boots up with an AT&T SIM card installed, it goes to the "SIM Network Unlock Pin" request screen. I have worked with both Motorola and AT&T tech support personnel for many, many hours to get my Atrix to accept the unlock code I have been given from AT&T (22314992). The Atrix response is always "Network unlock pin unsuccessful". The phone otherwise works beautifully after a fastboot coldboot (wi-fi, program installs & usage, etc). But one simple problem...I can not make phone calls.
View 3 Replies View Related recently purchased a Motorola Atrix 2 from the Mot Corporate store here in the US. It works well with AT&T SIM but I wanted to unlock it for using an international SIM when traveling outside. I got the unlock code from AT&T but the phone didn't accept the code. I tried the code twice and both times, I got this message "Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful". I have confirmed the IMEI by using *#06# and matching it with the number on the back sticker. I checked with AT&T again and they said that Mot said that the original code provided is the right one for my phone.
So, I am stuck now. I don't know what I can do about this phone. I would really love to be able to use it outside the US and that was one of the reasons I paid an unsubsized price for it.Anyone else facing similar problems with the Atrix 2? Is there a software update that can fix this issue? I don't want to try the same code more times because I am afraid that it will hard lock.
We have a new xoom. Last night it connected fine to our network and the internet.Today at the office it is connected to the network, shows an ip address but when I try get on the internet, it just thinks forever and then times out
View 6 Replies View RelatedTraveling with the Xoom wi-fi and it suddenly decided not to connect with open wi-fi networks. Works fine on home network and worked fine on open networks a couple of weeks ago. Now, it sees the network, saves the network but when you tap "OK" to connect nothing happens.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom2 is connected to internet by celullar network and network coverage are doesn't strong enought to keep my device online every where. (Subway, B1 floor etc.) Here is the thing; every time, when the device loose network or catch back, it on the screen (like as tap power button) and wait 2 minutes (which is my set) then screen goes off. Which is increasing my battery consumption and sort of meaningless reaction. How could i get over it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a US WiFi only Xoom with a weird network issue. Whenever I leave it at home when I go to work, I come back to a gray wifi indicator. I'm still connected to my router and can access things internal to my network (like my Sonos system or router), but can't get to anything external (such as pinging an IP address or doing a DNS lookup).
View 1 Replies View Relatedurl...My Xoom has done it again..I left it charging last night. When I took it off the charger this morning and pressed the power button, the screen would not turn on.Tried again to press power and still it wouldn't turn on the display.Only the notification light was blinking. So I was forced to hard reboot the device via Power and Vol+.When the device rebooted, the encryption unlock screen was displayed:Anyone have a clue how this would continue to occur? My device was not currently encrypted.I did encrypt it successfully once about a month or so ago, but didn't like the performance nor having to type my password each time to unlock the device. So I perfromed a Master Reset / Factory Data Reset. The device has been functioning fine up until today.

View 15 Replies View Relatedi am at my wits end.I constantly get the message on my n95 8gb to 'insert sim card' this happens 10-20 times aday. The only way to resolve it is to remove the battery 10-20 times aday! There seems to be no reason for this as it can happen if left on a desk,in my pocket etc.I'm also getting the 'sim card registration failed' message now and then as well. IS THIS A SIM CARD OR A PHONE PROBLEM? Any guidence would be gratefully recieved.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the WIFI- Network Notification ( Notify me when an open network is available) is ticked after the 3.1 updateI am presuming this means its always looking for a open network and chewing up power doing so.To save some battery, and alien networks, untick the boxUnless you ok with open network hunting and shorter battery life.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 6 week old ZOOM WiFi which in the last week has started to endlessly reboot when attempting to connect to my home network. It stops rebooting when Wi-Fi is turned off. When WiFi is turned back on, the rebooting starts again. Before I realised what was causing the reboot, I restored it to factory settings, and this seemed to work for a few days. No apps have been downloaded since then. I have tried a soft reboot without success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Xoom post upgrade to 4G is now assigning the IP address of 192.168.20.1 to the device usb1 everytime it is rebooted. This apparently hardwired configuration conflicts with my homenetwork's default gateway. Is there anyway to change this with out rooting the device? I would rather not have to re-IP my home network or not be able to connect to any network via Wifi who uses that IP address as a default gateway.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI prefer to hide my wireless SSID but when I do this my android devices don't see the network. Even if I am already connected with my Xoom then switch to hidden SSID mode the Xoom disconnects. Same for my HTC Thunderbolt. My network is shown in the list of remembered networks as out of range. When in hidden mode. This does not affect my laptops.
They stay connected if I switch to hidden mode and they have a setting to connect to hidden networks that have previously been configured. I cannot find a setting for hidden network support on either android device. Hiding the SSID is not a new concept. Is this not supported in the android network stack? I have a strong random PW on my wifi so I am not terribly worried about it but I would be nice to have the option.
how to insert my sim card in my new phone
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk not being funny but have read the instructions to the phone and searched on the net, but there is absolutely nothing in any of them that shows you how to insert a card into this phone, or even tells you where it goes. I have removed the battery looked inside no identification marks to out a card in, no visible places to slot a card in.
