does anyone know how to diable to Twonkey app? That by far has to be the most annoying app of all time. If I click on a video to watch, that dosent mean that I want to automatically stream to my network and TV....that is rediculious! Little help, does anyone know how to disable or ot delete it? Its one of those preinstalled apps, so the regular way of delteting do dosent work...

i have a xoom that i got today and am totally in love with it.... or was until an hour ago! i've tried to watch embedded videos (ranging from 8-35 minutes long) from multiple sources (my schools website, Internet.com, etc) and every single time it starts playing great and i can see the buffering indicator moving along until it gets about 1/3 complete and then it stops. suddenly the buffer indicator jumps to the end and the video plays until it reached the point in which it stopped earlier. at that point the video ends and gives me the "replay" option. i've factory data reset the device already, tried watching long videos through the Internet app (that works perfectly), and uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash 10.3.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAs soon as I start it up to set everything up, the stock launcher force closes. The tablet automatically reboots. Back to the set up screen, another stock launcher force close.I finally get into the home screen and do a data reset. I get back to installing everything I had on my previous xoom and just out of curiousity I ran a linpack. The score comes back at 35 which is pretty normal for a stock xoom.A good 30 minutes later, after doing the normal. Setting up my home screen, browsing, etc, I am noticing a very significant slow-down of the response I'm getting on the xoom. I run another linpack and I have dropped 9 Mflops.
So, did I get another defective unit, or is there something I can do to fix this? Best Buy has no more xoom 3's to replace with this one, so if I have to return it, I will be stuck without a xoom. [removed, considering I have a data plan. Motorola won't replace it, they will only offer to repair it. So, send away my xoom for 6 days and not even for LTE, just to be repaired.I'm pretty stuck on what to do next. I really like the xoom, but I'm not going to keep it if it can't perform.
Is there something one can do so that the Xoom does not shutdown automatically when battery level reaches 20%? I am on ICS 4.04.

Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings.My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.
Is this phone supposed to connect automatically via the mobile network using Motocast? Works on WiFi but not when out of range. Is there a setting hidden somewhere that I've missed ?
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy new Xoom doesn't find any WiFi network. Where I am currently, there are at least three networks in reach, one of them is completely open. Neither of them shows up on the list of available networks.
If I set up mobile hotspot on Xoom, I can connect other devices via WiFi to Xoom, which leads me to believe hardware is ok.

My 3G XOOM (MZ601) is having a small issue since the 3.2 upgrade that if i have the XOOM at home connected to my WiFi, then take it out with me, it refuses to connect/switch to my Mobile network without a restart. Once I have done this it works fine, but it's a bit of a pain having to turn it off and on again every time I leave the house.

(Subway, B1 floor etc.) Here is the thing; every time, when the device loose network or catch back, it on the screen (like as tap power button) and wait 2 minutes (which is my set) then screen goes off. It stops rebooting when Wi-Fi is turned off. When WiFi is turned back on, the rebooting starts again. Before I realised what was causing the reboot, I restored it to factory settings, and this seemed to work for a few days. No apps have been downloaded since then. I have tried a soft reboot without success.

This apparently hardwired configuration conflicts with my homenetwork's default gateway.Is there anyway to change this with out rooting the device? Even if I am already connected with my Xoom then switch to hidden SSID mode the Xoom disconnects. Same for my HTC Thunderbolt. My network is shown in the list of remembered networks as out of range. When in hidden mode. This does not affect my laptops.
They stay connected if I switch to hidden mode and they have a setting to connect to hidden networks that have previously been configured. I cannot find a setting for hidden network support on either android device. Hiding the SSID is not a new concept. Is this not supported in the android network stack? I have a strong random PW on my wifi so I am not terribly worried about it but I would be nice to have the option.
I'm coming from the Android/Apple ecosystem. I used an Android phone as my daily driver and an iPad for all my media stuff. My Lumia is a perfect blend of both due to the screen size. My only issue is that I can't find apps to stream content from my PC to this phone.

When I try to play music the time to the left will blink, but on my computer motocast will say its idle. But it works when i go to mymotocast.com. It worked when i originally got the phone and installed motocast. I've even tried to resart both my phone and computer, and i can't think of anything else to try.
