When I'm at home my iPhone 4s will not connect to my wifi automatically I have to enter the password every time it's only started doing this but as soon as I'm away from home it goes to 3G then once get home should connect to wifi but doesn't even if I put password in then turn airplane mode on it wouldn't reconnect to wifii would have to enter password again

I find it very strange that the carriers have no information on this. If Apple has a iphone that connects to the 4G network. How come they have not informed the carriers? I just spoke with Verizon and they have no information of this that I was informed of yesterday by Apple. I upgraded my daughters phone to an iphone 4S 16G and could not get the promotion, because as far as Verizon understood this phone only operates on the 3G network.

View 15 Replies View RelatedOkay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.

Any apps that require internet connection won't load, emails aren't coming through, can't connect to itunes or app store, send texts, etc. If I connect to wifi everything works fine. My iPhone 4s will not connect to my home wireless network. The phone recognizes the network, but after i put in the password, the grey loading circle just spins endlessly on my chosen network without connecting. I've tried restting the network setting, restting the router, and checking for updates.

I cannot connect to my wi-fi network. The phone finds it but when I choose it, it simply tells me that it is unable to join the network. I am thinking it is a password issue but the phone never asks me for my password. The wi-fi is locked so it needs a password. I do not have this problem with my laptop or my Ipad so I know the wi-fi network is working correctly. I just can't figure out how to get the phone to ask me for my password. It should do it without any prompting, but for whatever reason it does not.

Having bought an iphone (G3) and tried to connect to the network, it shows me the HUB No., which corresponds to the number on the back of my router.
It then asks me for a password. I assume this is the one also on the back of the router. However when I enter this I get a message 'Unable to connect to network'
Consequently if I use my phone to get to the internet, I am charged.

Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.
