IPhone :: Phone Will Not Connect To Wireless Network
May 27, 2010
I know there are some threads on here with an issue like this but check it out:Last week my iPhone 3G stopped connecting to my wireless network. Since then I have changed the WPA Key and even removed it completely so that there is no password and it still does not connect. I tried my wife's iPhone at the same time and that connected no problem - even on another network my iPhone refuses to connect to a wireless network. Do I need to get it replaced?
My iPhone 4s will not connect to my home wireless network. The phone recognizes the network, but after i put in the password, the grey loading circle just spins endlessly on my chosen network without connecting. I've tried restting the network setting, restting the router, and checking for updates.
I have a new 5c iPhone but can not connect to my Wi-Fi Home Wireless Network as my new phone does not recognize my password. How can I change the password and move on?
I am new to this blackberry smartphone and have brought a new BB curve 9300 with BSNL connection. I am unable to connect to my wireless network my phone displays my network but does not connect at all says " Failed to associate with the network". I have tried all possible way
I have had my BB Bold for one week. The battery fully ran out and now after recharging it keeps crashing. When it comes back on line it asks to be reconnected to the Wireless network but then crashes straight away. I've tried factory restore and software update but it hasn't helped.
Does any know how to connect X10 WiFi with Adhoc Wireless network?!?! Is there a way to connect without rooting X10 and editing file wpa_supplicant.conf under /data/misc/wifi?
I have rooted my x10 (which is upgraded to 2.1 firmware) through z4root software but I am unable to edit wpa_supplicant.conf file?
I've had my BB 9700 for just over a month now, without having any issues whatsoever with the handset, and recently my 9700 refuses to connect to my wireless network at home, it finds the network, acquires an IP address, and connection speed even displays the signal strength, but looking at the Wi-Fi diagnostics on the BB there seems to be a problem with the Infrastructure, it attempts to connect and continuously fails.
I have tried restarting the BB, and the router, this doesn't seem to solve the problem though.
Has anyone else had or heard of this issue before? And are there any solutions?
I am on T-Mobile and the BB is not unlocked or anything of that nature.
I just picked up an Omnia i910 and got the WiFi to connect to my wireless network at home just fine. However, I cannot do anything with it? What am I missing here? I can open Opera and can't go anywhere. I can open up IE and still can't browse anything. Anyone have a suggestion? The Omnia is definitely connected properly to my network on a Netgear router.
I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?
I'm using BB Bold 9700 Version 5.0.0.593. Why is it when I put my BB in holster, my network will always get disconnected after a while? Sometime when I using half way will get disconnected. Do I need to do any setting to keep it connected.
WM 6.1 upgrade went without problem, but now I have issue with Wi-Fi access.PIE is unable to open any websites if the phone connects to any secured wireless network.(WEP, WPA, WPA2)Only time the wi-fi would work is when I connect to non-secured network. When I was on WM 6.0, I had no issues what so ever, so this is a new problem and I know I setup the network correctly. (Router issues IP address and network card receives IP address.)Looks like it happened to couple of others as well, but there does not look to be any remedy for it.
Of course about 90% of the time I will be connecting to non-secured network, so it should not be a too large an issue, but if possible, I would like to fix this.According to the search, only remedy I have seen is a guy contacting Samsung and getting WM 6.0 re-flashed on the phone. Other than 6.0 reflash, could there be any other potential resolution that I have overlooked?
yesterday i'm using apps to connect to internet. but suddenly it stopped. it disconnected from wifi.
afterthat i cant connect/find to any wifi network. but my other device still able to work with wifi around. i try use 'other' from wifi menu. and search, it turned out 'Could not scan for wireless Network'
i tried reset network, but it wont works. i am using iPhone4S 32gb
I currently have a question concerning the possibility to tethering a wireless connection over USB to a Windows XP PC. I know that it is not possible to set up a wireless tethering of a wireless connection, only 3G or 4G connection.
My problem is that I have a work computer that is very strict on which open wireless network it can connect to. I therefore want to connect my iPhone 4S to whichever wireless network and tether the connection to my PC through either USB or Bluetooth.
I have a wireless network at home and it is quiet strong. My iphone was always connected to it until today. It doesn't see it and it can't connect to the internet via wireless network. It is using the 4G from the service provider, which is too slow and does not allow for certain functions.
My iPhone 4GS ( my wife's too) wireless connection won't establish as it has been doing for over 2 years. No problem getting on the net through on an unprotected network. All of the other devices that use the same home network work fine as usual. The apple store folks suggested the that I try the various resets in the Settings panel, but that didn't make a difference. I searched the forum expecting to see more people with the same issue, but don't.
My wife's phone stopped working last weekend. I went through the T-mobile technical care people and their solution was to replace the phone. Unfortunately the phone has a small crack in the bottom bezel so they won't replace it unless I pay the $175 deductible. I am hands on enough to fix some parts of the phone (I've replaced the screen on my G3 twice) so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
Her phone will work on wifi, but if you turn wifi off or if she goes out of wifi range her phone stops working. When the t-mobile person tried to have me manually connect it to the network, it said unable to connect to the network, please try again. We did a soft and hard reset. They tried to refresh my network connectivity and none of these options worked. We moved the sim card into my phone and it worked just fine. So obviously there is a hardware issue going on.
Before the 5.0 update, I was able to use my iPhone 4 to play music on my PC via my wireless network. I'd click Music, more, then my Shared Library would be there. I've looked all around the internet, checked every setting I can think of, changed every setting I can think of, yet I cannot get this feature to work again.
My phone won't connect to the mobile network. Everytime I try to connect it the device tell me that it not part of my service plan. I have contacted my mobile provider and they did not find anything wrong and I have put my SIM-card in other phones and the network works on them so their is something wrong with my phone.
