Apr 22, 2010Okay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.

Apr 12, 2012I cannot connect to my wi-fi network. The phone finds it but when I choose it, it simply tells me that it is unable to join the network. I am thinking it is a password issue but the phone never asks me for my password. The wi-fi is locked so it needs a password. I do not have this problem with my laptop or my Ipad so I know the wi-fi network is working correctly. I just can't figure out how to get the phone to ask me for my password. It should do it without any prompting, but for whatever reason it does not.

May 15, 2012Is there a way to connect my iPhone 4s to my wifi network without the password? This is my home network but unfortunately it was setup years ago and I have no way of getting the password for it. I've been able to connect my laptop to it without the password by pushing the button on the netgear router but it does not work when I try with my phone. My laptop and desktop are both connected and have iTunes so I was hoping I could do it that way but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck resetting the router and I'd rather not buy a new one.

May 28, 2012We have 2 iMacs, an iPad, iPhone, and other wifi devices such as a Nook. I have AirPort Express and the green light is on, it is connected to the Linksys router that is connected to my cable modem (RCN). I have attempted a few times to reset the wireless and the airport express so that our wifi devices will work, but after about a week or two, it just stops working. I get timeout errors, and my iPhone and iPad just says "Unable to join the network"; the iMac just keeps asking me to enter a WPA password, I'm entering the correct password, because it worked for a couple of weeks. At this point I have both iMacs hooked up via ethernet.I was wondering if I need a new router, should use the AirPort (purchased in 2006) and Linksys at the same time? The cable modem only has one (1) port for ethernet cable.

I rebooted the cable modem and was then able to see and connect to the network with both iPhones and an iPad, but, a few minutes later, was unable to join the network. I have an iMac and a Thinkpad laptop that both connect fine and stay connected. I've tried rebooting the iPhones and forgetting the network, but the problem keeps coming back. I called Comcast to suggest they "change the channel" on their wireless gateway, but they couldn't do it.
